Obviously you are a person of impeccable judgment in your source selection. While your writing style may have both Strunk and White turning over in their graves, your persistence in opting for - and creating as context requires -- every possible derivation of the root verb "fuck" creates a perfect environment for the profound appreciation of your political punditry in this miserable day and age. Kudos, I say (Lambchop agrees), and keep up the good work.

I will remember to my dying day, this dialogue between Stimpson J. Cat and Ren Hoek in the episode "Son of Stimpy."

Stimpy: "Something came out of my... Butt!"

Ren: "That's nice, Stimpy. Something came out of your butt."

Stimpy: "No, no, Ren. I'm serious... And not only that. It made a SOUND."

Ren: "Let's see if I got this straight, something came out of your butt... and it made a *sound*."

Stimpy: "And it smelt funny."

As far as I'm concerned, it's perfectly okay to criticize Columbia's Jewish students if they support genocide in Gaza and on the West Bank. If you support genocide, it's not okay. War crimes are not okay. Perhaps they should go to college in Tel Aviv, if they don't like being criticized for supporting war crimes, regardless of their religion.

Please remember that Booker is still redeeming himself after the bad moment he had where he said "we're completely helpless". I wrote him off then, I can reconsider if he consistently drops hurt on their unworthy heads for a significant amount of time. A good start would be to gather all the Dem jellyfish who voted to censure Al Green in a room and beat them like bad junkyard dogs.

Don't put me down as giddy quite yet, but it's possible that Booker is beginning to realize that the division within the party, and among moderates, is no longer "Left/Right". It's "Fight/Cower".

The old formulations for the old politics is crumbling fast. "Smart" calculations being made by "vulnerable" politicians are now meaningless, and worms are turning everywhere. Here in my beloved state of Georgia, Senator Ossoff is preparing to defend against the likes of Marjory Taylor Greene. He is NOT making a "smart" calculation about throwing milk bones to the rubes because he is "vulnerable" (fuck the media, may they shrivel and die) in a purple-to-red state. He is going full Wolverine on their sorry asses because he knows there are a LOT of erstwhile MAGAs who have lost their jobs and are afraid of not being able to get Granny's insulin. Those MAGAs have also expressed some... errr... dismay about Trump announcing his kingship. If he loses, it will be spectacular, but the conventional calculations will not allow him to win.

Shewas detained briefly at the airport when she returned to the United States. She teaches at a college, has a U.S. Passport and proof of protected status as an educator. She was held for a brief time until she was "checked out," and let go home in NYC.

Stephen, almost every rally I have been to in Germany has had Palestinian supporters at the rally. In fact the rally on International Women's Day had a large group with Palestinian flags and one person with an Israeli flag. It was uneventful as far as I could tell. However, I can say that Americans who have applied for German citizenship are reluctant to go to the rally, because they are worried that

1) getting arrested, which is always a risk although unlikely, may get them rejected for citizenship.

2) Right now the new Merz government in Germany is talking about taking German citizenship away from dual citizens who have another citizenship. I have had both German and US all my life, but still, I realize I have some risk if our group is perceived as being "Antisemitic" which in Germany is currently defined by politicians as any statement against the Israeli government, or Israel. Even Jewish Germans who are dual nationals are at risk of losing German citizenship. This is a whole other story, but Germany has no free speech around this. So, in Germany it might be different than in Spain. In the US, it is going in that direction too.

Mary, please be safe. Remember that those Gravy Seals may be lurking, gathering whatever in their mind is "intel" on anti-Elon protesters.

And Republicans seem to have completely forgotten how Elon dressed in the Oval Office the day he brought in his snotwiper son. Isn’t it against the law to wear a hat with a political statement in any government building? That was, I believe, a black MAGA hat! Did any Republicans call him out on that???? Or on MTG wearing a red MAGA hat during President Biden’s last State of the Union speech? They break rules with impunity. Time for people to protest more loudly! No double standards!

So appalled and sickened by my home state becoming the Nazi safe home. Idaho has always had the worst of so many categories…education, healthcare, racism and controverted conservatism. But I was blithely ignorant of the depths of hatred EVEN while working among the republicans in local governments. My gawd, how could I have been so blinded by the reality? I had always been a Blue girl in a red state but to me it was just a bumper sticker platitude. The irony is I grew up in the Cecil Andrus era and was lulled into a false sense of democratic values and beliefs. Fuck.

Wonder how many of your Idaho neighbors had fathers& grandfathers and

uncles fight in WWII? against a demagogue facist?

Idaho has so much natural beauty, and yet they support a guy who would turn the state (and every state) into an industrial hellscape.

So much shit has happened since the mad king has resumed power that many of us have already forgotten that he has been convicted of 34 felonies and would have been convicted of many more had the courts been allowed to function properly.

"I ain't here on business baby, I'm only here for fun."--Bruce Springsteen, 'Rosalita.' You ever get the feeling that the entire Trump Cabinet is into some serious cosplay. Has there ever been a group of self-entitled, emoji-texting amoral reprobates with absolutely zero regard for optics? And aren't we approaching the time when Orange Jabba summons his ethically-compromised band of misfit enablers to declare why he's the greatest president in U.S. history since James Buchanan?

The chat was not even a planning session. The plan was already made. Baby Hegseth wanted to show off and impress the others.

There's so much shit flying these days it's very hard to keep up.

Hegseth taking his emotional support wife (is she his sponsor or something?) to high security meetings and flying around the world with his other emotional support human (his unqualified brother, the podcast developer) and all the news about other Signal chats these grossly incompetent people have been having, something has to give and it's clear now that in the coming weeks Waltz will wish he never left the House.

VOTE WISCONSIN! VOTE FLORIDA!!!! We really need to win those house seats and the SC seat in Wisconsin if democracy has any chance of surviving.

Fuck Elon.
