My husband's stepfather, a terrible person (that's how you describe a child molester, right?), told him never to get a tattoo, because it was a permanent mark. It was the only good thing he ever said and we listened carefully. Only his oldest stepson got tattoos (wild things, from his favorite book.) If you think you might violate the law, avoid tattoos.
