ugh. maybe I'll write about this tomorrow

it's not like Donny and Bibi haven't already spent an entire year talking about how they were going to do this.

Jeff, I'd love to hear more about trump's pal Steve Witkoff and his role in all of the violence in Gaza and Israel. Sure was handy to have some terrorism and war break out if you want to get some construction contracts. I have no inside info, but Witkoff seems to have his mitts on everything.

Kim Steeves's avatar

Doesn't Jared have the plans already for Gaza Lago?

Ole Anderson's avatar

Jared is late to the show. The Saudis must be throwing a few $Billion around he thinks he can grift.

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

'knows' he can grift. ugh

Bob Bowden's avatar

Hey Thénardiers from Les Misérables: Thanks for showing the way, harvesting gold off the dead bodies in war zones. That’s now Donny’s job

"Trump and Bibi Bring the Early Birds Back to Gaza."

Kay-El's avatar

The same type of shit is being discussed about Ukraine.

Ellyn's avatar

I’m thinking/hearing (hoping!!) Europe is putting a dead stop to this bullshit with Ukraine/Russia.

CA Productions/Carol Ann's avatar

Lets hope. The EU has everything to lose if Putin wins.

George in Atlanta's avatar

Germany is re-arming.

I can imagine how there've been scenario planners at NATO who have quietly gamed out the world in which the United States, being a pluralistic and representative democratic republic, faltered. A flawed leader, sweeping the country up in ignorant populist fervor, would begin withdrawing from the world to leave their allies alone. Those plans have been pulled from the deep archives and dusted off. What remains is the unfolding of history.

CA Productions/Carol Ann's avatar

Sadly I agree with you. Trump and his PJ 25 are doing exactly this. They are pulling America back into itself. No international travel unless you show five years of your social media….lol is that maybe one person a week. Who the f is going to do that job. Interfering, The EU already have plans that don;t include us. They need to save themselves. We have no leadership. A demented physcopath doesn’t count and the useless cabinet are just there for his enjoyment. We need to remove by whatever means possible, as soon as possible.

George in Atlanta's avatar

We will not remove. We will continue to enjoy it until we have thoroughly atoned for our sins.

George in Atlanta's avatar

But it all feels inevitable somehow. We get the president we deserve.

BigDaddy52's avatar

Yep. Quite clear the plan is to fuck Ukraine into becoming a russian property to allow trump to profit from the misery.

DJS's avatar

Putin really knows his mark.

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

Saw him coming MILES away while the orange fuckwit always thinks he's 'in charge'. It's too ugly/stupid/treasonous to be funny but Putin does get a hearty chuckle out of the insane stupidity of dealing with him.

Kay-El's avatar

Yep and not just Trump. Investors and their companies want a nice chunk of that action and not out of the goodness of their hearts. 🙄

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Imagine seeing nothing but profit margins when looking at the slaughter in Gaza, and Ukraine, what ghouls! especially those land developers willing to kill residents to steal their land!

Hmmmm, not in the slightest.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

No "boorish" is his religion.

That wax effigy look was popularized by Melania and the Karkrashians. Bezos' new mannequin/wife takes it to extremes, though. I'm even more upset with those who failed to vote at all, whether as a protest move, a "I want my purity pony NOW" move, or whatever dumb, foolish reason they came up with for not voting against fascism.

CA Productions/Carol Ann's avatar

The were to afraid to vote for an amazing woman who happend to be bi-racial, brilliant and Vice President....you can't fix stupid.

arne link's avatar

It was never a fair and honeste election. To quote a famous writer "there was fuckery."

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Yes, it's not like we didn't tell them. "Protest votes" only give the election to the worst candidate!

CA Productions/Carol Ann's avatar

77 million of dumb ass American who can't read and have no viable skills at problem solving......I blame them

Julie's avatar

Jeff, I hate this shit so much. You’re 100% correct. The US is totally unrecognizable and it’s become so in LESS THAN A YEAR. My heart hurts every day because of it. I don’t understand how the fucking Congressional Republicans can stand around doing nothing and ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN. Do they think they’re immune? That their children and grandchildren aren’t going to be affected by the fallout from a destroyed USA? As preventable diseases come ROARING back?? I can’t even articulate the amount of animosity I have for “Dr.” Senator Bill Cassidy. And all the others including Democrats who voted to confirm any of these fucking assholes. I fear it will take decades to repair and restore the USA.

CA Productions/Carol Ann's avatar

Its very scary for sure. I can't stand that nobody who are among people we voted for our scared to do their jobs. I lived in Italy for over twelve years. I thinks its time to go back.

Julie's avatar

Please take me with you 😭😭😭. I’ve heard Estonia is also easy and welcoming to us.

arne link's avatar

If you have the option of living in Europe, I would definitely do so.

SLS's avatar

Do you mean "animosity" instead of "anonymity"? "Antipathy"?

Julie's avatar

Yes. Just fixed it. 💙💙

Julie's avatar

YES!! Thank you for catching it 💙

Paula Dean's avatar

No. Please don't. I have already exceeded my limit on feeling the suffering of Palestinians. Every single time I think it can't possibly get any more horrific in Gaza . . .

Now: Condos by Alligator Auschwitz! Somewhere in the desert, where nothing lives except land mines! The entire coastline bulldozed to get ready for Fabulous and Breathtakingly Expensive Resorts! Brought to You by Saudi Arabia, Russian Oligarchs and Jared Kushner! Approved by Bibi Netanyahu!

Bob's avatar

Linda Weide's avatar

I'm still focusing on the national security and privacy aspects of everything going on. The data on tourists is crazy. Will there be any foreign journalists willing to go through this? What about diplomats etc...?

I know Americans living abroad who will not be bringing their family to the US, because this is ridiculous. I think the data gathering has the evil, "I wanna take over the world" Thiel's Palantir written all over it. Yes it will be AI analyzing your data and clever people will learn ways around this like some do in China. Chinese rebellion 101: What replacement words can one use for words that are forbidden?

I am in Germany right now, which is considered backwards for tech to many countries. A lot of people do not have the same data usage as people in the US. For example, when I ride the bus I rarely see older people using a cell phone. I know I stand out in this, because I read my Substacks and other news a lot on public trans. They just look at the people in the bus or out the window. Don't see older people with cell phones in restaurants much either. They don't tend to have their transportation pass on their phone, but they get a card that they can use from the transportation service. If I contact my brother-in-law via messaging or email, I might hear back in 2 days to 2 weeks. With his wife it could be a month. Even a business might take 2 days to a week to get back to me.

My contractor and his workers use Threema, which is messaging that is not even platformed in the US. My daughter has pointed out that medical records not being on line is a protection for us. Things like that. There is some privacy safety in not being up to date. Whatever frustration one has with how antiquated things seem, I am relieved that it won't be as easy for Palantir to suck up everyone's data just like that. So, if we listed all of the German relatives, we would not even be able to provide this sort of info on them, because we don't know it. In Germany it would be illegal to give out this sort of private information, and no matter how much Merz sucks up to Trump to try to save the German auto industry, which is a wasty-waste of timey-time, he is not going to have the people just willing to give over their data like that. You are not allowed to even take pictures of people in Germany without their permission.

SethTriggs's avatar

Kamala Harris warned us about all this. As did many others.

Guess that "[Pricktator] Gaza" AI slop video is coming true.

Teri Gelini's avatar

Maybe that can build a concentration camp like Alligator Alcatraz in Gaza and put Hamas and Israeli soldiers in it

Bob's avatar

And like some California prison guards did with rival gangs, put them in the yard together to fight it out.

Major Kong's avatar

Jared Kushner and Trump's fail sons will be first in line for contracts and their cut.

Chris Duncan's avatar

Of course they are, that was the plan all along. Nothing like ethnic cleansing to free up a little beachfront property!

AKRebel's avatar

Disgusting, as usual :(

Marian Vitale's avatar

What really sucks is that some of us are Americans living abroad (yay) with partners who are not American. I'm already reluctant to go to the US to see my family, but now? If I want to take my partner with me, he'll be subjected to this bullshit when applying for the visa. As for me, I've got anti-Trump stickers all over my laptop, so there's that. This fuckstick is making it impossible for me to see my adult kids and my grandchild. I've never hated anyone in my life the way I hate him.

Dr J's Sanity Space's avatar

Marian: I am a naturalized US citizen but next time I go abroad, I will NOT take my cellphone. I will buy a burner phone wherever I am. It is SO embarrassing to see the worldwide standing of the once-mighty US of A.

Dave Drell's avatar

good idea! burner phones - also ship your phone DHL/UPS to your loved ones and they hand it over to you when you arrive…

thank you Drumpf for killing thousands of tourists jobs here in the US- oh, killing a good thing is what your good at , you putz.

Lady Emsworth's avatar

And what happens if when they say "This is a burner - why haven't you brought your genuine one?"

You'll be back on the plane home again. . .

Talk about "Germany '33"

Sharon Senkiew's avatar

You buy the burner after you leave the airport and leave it behind when you go back.

Lady Emsworth's avatar

You don't think they might ask at the airport why you haven't got a phone?

Dr J's Sanity Space's avatar

Not really - I do not intend to bring it back.

Bob's avatar

Destroy when you get to the airport. “Accidentally” put it under running water.

Pam Humphrey's avatar

You could drop it in a toilet. That’d look a little more accidental.

CA Productions/Carol Ann's avatar

Its really sick and that's a good idea.....I have my Italian cell phone that has no Trump stuff on it.

Gayna's avatar

Every day I hope I see his obituary

Jan Moon's avatar

Mine too. The first thing I think when I wake up is, is he gone yet? Must I get up and face all this?

Joanne Rossmassler Fritz's avatar

Read Christopher Armitage. When Donny dies, fascism doesn’t die with him!

Marian Vitale's avatar

No, but the cult does. I do not believe the GOP members of Congress are terrified of JD Vance or any of the other morons in the administration. I think once TFG kicks it, a lot falls apart for them. Right now, they know he doesn't have to have anything REAL on them, because he'll just make stuff up, and the MAGA zombies will buy it. I don't think Vance et all have that kind of power.

Susan Niemann's avatar

I totally agree with you Marian... nobody likes Vance, from what I read. He's married to a woman of color which the idiot MAGA's dont like... he's awkward and fumbling. Yes, we will always have fascists and enemies. but the felon being gone will help a lot to get decency restored.

Hollie Rood's avatar

I agree but at the same time still find myself 🙏

Joanne Rossmassler Fritz's avatar

I hope you’re right! I know Vance isn’t popular (thank goodness) but he does have the full power of the Heritage Foundation behind him.

Cathy Wray's avatar

The goddamned Heritage Foundation...may they rest in hell.

Marian Vitale's avatar

I still don't think the average Mr & Mrs MAGA know anything about the Heritage Foundation. They just know they love "him".

Keith's avatar

trump has been unimaginable as president ... hillbully tattoo will be worse!

he is a genuine sick puppy that will never earn a spot on the big dog porch!

Sharon C Storm's avatar

meryl selig's avatar

CA Productions/Carol Ann's avatar

You and millions of others around the globe.

Megan Ross's avatar

How much I hate TRump is beginning to affect my health. Seriously. He literally makes me sick. I can't wait until he dies!

Marian Vitale's avatar

I check my phone first thing every morning for this news, although I'm sure we will hear the cheering all the way over here in Amsterdam! (not to mention from the Dutch people who will also be cheering!)

Mary Hall's avatar

Amsterdam is my favorite place in Europe. You are so lucky to live there.

Marian Vitale's avatar

I am, indeed. And "suffering" under democratic socialism every day.

Daniel M Kimmel's avatar

Diane Findley's avatar

Yes, I didn't think I had such a well of hate for another person....but then, maybe not a person? More of a monster - my hate for it is endless.

Marian Vitale's avatar

Same. I'm a native New Yorker so we've hated him for 50 years, but it's on another level now.

Bob's avatar

The Spy Magazine level of loathing has exploded into hatred and disgust at everything about him and his lying, crooked existence.

rlritt's avatar

Yes! You got that right.

Hollie Rood's avatar

Precisely! Not a person a monster. I asked my non practicing catholic husband the other day if he thought God would actually welcome it into heaven and he answered with a resounding/unflinching NO‼️I’m probably hypocritical saying I can live with myself and the loathing I feel bc I don’t view him as a human being in any way shape or form. His malignant narcissistic evilness and greed knows no limits and his lust for power coupled with his unbelievable ignorance is as dangerous as a nuclear weapon ☢️

Well shit! As an ex pat, but US Citizen, for what that’s worth these days, I guess I’m fvcked putting all this out there 🤷‍♀️ Consider this my part in trying to help the cause.

HI2thDoc's avatar

He did make us find out about ourselves, so there's that. . .

Lady Emsworth's avatar

No he didn't. I was NEVER like that till trump came along. I loathe hating someone the way I hate him - it makes me ill. However, at least there is a genuine reason for that hatred. He deserves every minute of it. Whatever the reason for his behavior, stupidity, cupidity, cruelty, insanity he does it on purpose. Which is unforgivable.

Brenda Doherty's avatar

I know hating anyone is a sin, but I think God will make an exception for Trump.

Lady Emsworth's avatar

Do you think Christ could heal trump?

HI2thDoc's avatar

I meant he made us realize that we could feel that level of burning hatred

Keith's avatar

he is OUR ENEMY! and should be treated as such. no more excuses.

he showed his 'don't give a fuk about anyone else' when he fumbled the COVID 19 'football'. all he did was come up with some whacko name for a plan ... 'make some medicine' plan.

he is responsible for many deaths in this country.

sin cuartel! no quarters!

Lady Emsworth's avatar

My perception is that trump has added a completely new layer to many people's psyche. If he hadn't come along, we would never have had the impetus to feel that way. Chicken or egg?

Ole Anderson's avatar

But the guillotine seems so much more appropriate, Doc

Declan's avatar

arne link's avatar

Julie's avatar

I’m so sorry. My heart aches for you. While I wish I were also living abroad.

FTrump And FPutin Too's avatar

I’m in the same space but on the other side. My adult son lives in another country with his wife not a US citizen, and 3 minor children, the oldest has dual citizenship. They are rightfully afraid of visiting because my son doesn’t want his family subjected to the gestapo tactics. I don’t want them to visit either because of this shit. I miss them so much, being unable to physically see and hug them and it’s very hard on my son too 🥺 but we talk at least weekly. We’re careful what we say on social media.

Marian Vitale's avatar

I'm so sorry. This is taking me back to COVID times. My grandson was born on Christmas Day, 2019, and we saw him right after that. Didn't see him again for two years. Hard to stay positive these days.

meryl selig's avatar

can you travel to visit them?

FTrump And FPutin Too's avatar

I always help pay for their family of 5 to travel here. I used to fly 13 hours plus a bus, a monorail and 3 hour ferry ride then a 1-1/2 hour car ride to their home. My son always made the trip to Osaka to meet me and get me to his home but physically i cannot handle it even with a travel buddy (my husband) with me the whole time because the cancer meds he’s been on several years now just sap all his energy and strength. We both have conditions that limit our most basic travel. So, more info than you needed. Next time please consider not asking a person why they aren’t traveling around the world to see their adult child and grandchildren. During these horrible times here (ICE etc.) I support his decision to not bring his family to visit the U.S. And if we could physically travel, we would meet them in a “safe” country and clean up social media and phones from both ends.

Marian Vitale's avatar

Going in or out of the country is a crap shoot right now.

Leslie Goodman-Malamuth's avatar

I’m sorry, Marian. My digital footprint worried my American husband before 2015. Some MAGA fucksticks knifed Rob Reiner and his wife, probably at Donny’s behest. TMZ, annoying but rarely wrong, confirmed that the dead duo in Brentwood are H’wood royalty.

Marian Vitale's avatar

Word has it that it was their son. :(

Leslie Goodman-Malamuth's avatar

Nick Reiner struggled with drug addiction and schizophrenia. His brother Jake also is an addict; sister Romy found their parents’ stabbed bodies. TMZ broke the story several hours ago.

Susan Niemann's avatar

So, the fucking Republicans are gonna sit back and let America burn to ashes because god forbid they would ever stand up and say enough? Is that the deal? Does anyone give a damn?

JFC. I hate it here.

Lady Emsworth's avatar

You forgot to fight, America.

The US didn't just arrive fully formed like a Christmas present from God.

Getting America started was a bloody hard slog. Fancy a wagon across the plains? Crossing the Rockies on foot? Building a railway line through (NOT "over") granite? and on and on. Hell, even getting here was a nightmare the first three hundred years.

So, now you got to bend your backs again. Getting rid of the poison termites that the country is riddled with is going to be a LOT harder than most of the other stuff you had to do. You want to save that "Shining City on a Hill"? Raise your voices every minute of the day.

CA Productions/Carol Ann's avatar

I agree this is what the American Revolution was about....freeing ourselves from being ruled by a king. We fought world wars to keep our freedom and we are going to let some lowlife grifter take it away. I say we need another American Revolution.....the problem is a large part of America is apathetic and fucking lazy. We are no longer one people under God. We have become bitter and selfish and it might be the end of our democracy unless someone does something soon.

Wondering Woman's avatar

What I find astonishing is that the GOP ( as well as many of the institutions the PAB has threatened) has no grasp of the fact that they could be in their jobs long after TFG has departed (in whatever fashion that happens). Apparently no Republican Congresscritter has any job skills to fall back on, so they cling desperately to the fantasy that making a demented old man happy and their constituents mad as hell is a formula for success. Shidiots, every one of them.

HI2thDoc's avatar

And weaklings.

Joanne Rossmassler Fritz's avatar

Should we move to Portugal or Spain?

Gayna's avatar

I did and it changed my

Life. I live in Lisbon and there are no guns and no mass murders, people are very polite and kind, no one goes to church and if they do, it is considered very rude to proselytize or even talk about “Jesus.” There are no stupid billboards about burning in hell like there are in Texas, my former home. Abortion is part of socialized medicine and there is no discussion of it in public. It’s a literal paradise compared to the shithole Texas. Plus, just last week, the government tried to implement a bunch of shitty labor laws and the whole fucking country walked off the job. FAFO in Europe! France’s citizens take no shit from the government either. I love democratic socialism!!!

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

I only speak English and French (badly). could I get by in Portugal?

Anne Murray's avatar

Come to Scotland Jeff - you already swear like a native! 😁

Bob's avatar

He’ll just have adjust the pronunciations.

Hollie Rood's avatar

Aye, yer bloody right there Anne!

Sorry probably not quite right in the spelling. Left the homeland going on 52 years ago. Need to get my Billy Connolly “Gee Uz Yer Patter” book out for reference to all words Scottish 🧐 (swear or otherwise)

Gayna's avatar

In Lisbon almost everyone speaks perfect English. In fact if you speak Portuguese (me very badly), they immediately switch to English so they can practice. In the city of Porto, English is widely spoken and in the Algarve, there is full on British occupation so no worries there. In the smaller villages, you’ll need to learn the language and it is daunting.

shee-rah's avatar

I speak Brazilian Portuguese. How do the Portuguese feel about those with accents from other Portuguese speaking countries? Apparently there’s folks living there from former Portuguese colonies.

SLS's avatar

I speak clearly-identifiable Brasilian Portuguese and every time I have visited Portugal, I have been treated as a long-lost relative. Most Portuguese have been made familiar with Brasilian Portuguese because of the telenovelas (for which Brasil is justly famous), and they think the accent is "cute!"

Gayna's avatar

In Lisbon where I live, there are Brazilians everywhere and they speak their own language and as far as I know, no one cares. I know some Portuguese don’t like it (I’ve only read that), but I encounter people all the time from there. In fact, my nephew lives in Lisbon and now has a Brazilian partner teaching him the language.

Sounds like Heaven. How do they care for their senior citizens? (Asking for a friend)

Wondering Woman's avatar

I’ve heard that it’s lovely there. Now I’m jealous!

Susan Niemann's avatar

Joanne. I’ve not been to Portugal (yet) but I know a lot of expats are there. I’m still in Spain…and every moment has been a blissful retreat from an angry America. People of every nationality, all seeming to live on the same soil without prejudice…that I have witnessed anyway. A man from Pakistan told me I would be safe here since there were very few guns. I’ve never not felt safe as a single woman here. Now, I need to take my Spanish lesson. 😂

HI2thDoc's avatar

HI2thDoc's avatar

Megan Ross's avatar

I've been seriously considering Portugal or Spain. But, being an old, single gal has it's challenges.

Susan Niemann's avatar

Rent in Spain is very reasonable. Madrid is more than Santander which is where I’d like to go-much cooler there. I’ve been reading and reading about this topic. I don’t want to buy property here. But I am considering a one year visa. I’m 70 and I can still do stuff!

Charles Austin's avatar

I won't allow these thugs to run me out of MY COUNTRY!!! I'm in the victory or death caucus.

Susan Niemann's avatar

I'm not looking at it that way, Charlie, as being run out by thugs. The people who have voted for this are what concerns me. The racism is rampant, our food is now suspect with pesticides, our healthcare system is basically only for rich people, education is not a priority, gun violence has created an environment now where I wont go where there are big crowds of people. If I did make a move, it would be because the items I mentioned are more under control elsewhere. I have virtually no family. I still have adventure left in my soul, so why not explore the rest of the world before I'm dead? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Charles Austin's avatar

The next step is not allowing anyone to leave.( Soviet Union, N. Korea, etc.) Liddle Marco as Secretary of State thinks that he has the authority to void passports. Some things are worth fighting for.

Charles Austin's avatar

😡😡😡😡😡

arne link's avatar

I sincerely wish that I had left at 70. Now I'm too old. At least I don't live in a shithole state.

Susan Niemann's avatar

Hey Arne...just a note here. I LIKE YOU TOO! :) I saw that comments but couldnt reply because I just got tired of Poor Ole Anderson so I blocked him. He seems to be a contrary sort and I dont need that. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Paula Dean's avatar

I must have done that a while ago because I don't see him anymore...or he blocked me?

rlritt's avatar

Im sure they have fascists too.

Susan Niemann's avatar

There will ALWAYS be an enemy. There will always be fascists.

Let's have a hopeful conversation.

Ole Anderson's avatar

Don’t be a scold.

It’s not always about what You want.

Susan Niemann's avatar

LOL You dont like me much, do you? 😂😂

arne link's avatar

I like you. A lot. This is a mostly safe place for all of us.

Ole Anderson's avatar

Fascists in Spain?

That’s where the whole movement started, with Franco!

Susan Niemann's avatar

Actually, that is incorrect. Fascism started in Italy after World War One. Benito Mussolini coined the term in 1919 to describe his political movement. He started the first fascist regime.

Franco became Spains dictator after winning the Spanish Civil War which ran from 1936-1939. He ruled until his death in 1975.

Ole Anderson's avatar

The war in Europe I should have said.

Dave Drell's avatar

The knucklehead Republicons don’t give a damn, Susan. Only to lower taxes on the rich& corporations; and to deny basic human rights to everyone else.

Paula Dean's avatar

Sorry, but I'm grateful you are here. Although I'm a little surprised you didn't stay in Spain. Did they kick you out for being an American?

Susan Niemann's avatar

I've been in Spain for a month with two more weeks to go. My 70th birthday present to myself ... to personally challenge myself to see if I could travel alone in Europe and learn from the experience. I have never felt like they would kick me out because I'm American. On the contrary. People here are just, for the lack of a better word, normal. Pleasant, civil, cordial. They appreciate my attempt to speak Spanish, even though I'm not very good. 😂 I really love Spain. They had their dictator, Franco, for 32 years. It doesn't seem like they want to do that again.

arne link's avatar

If you can possibly stay, then I recommend that you choose to do that. Come back when he is dead.

Susan Niemann's avatar

Interesting that you say that, Arne. I cant stay on this trip but I’ve thought….what if I just leave for a year, on the nonlucruative visa, then decide. That gives me a chance to visit all the countries and museums and restaurants. Like I say, I’m just thinking about it. So many people before me have done this and they’re very happy. I’ll just have to see.

Douglas Paul Truhlar's avatar

Now is your time to not have fun but find out what the people have there for health insurance, I have been on CR healthcare and had an emergency appendectomy with no complaints the US is fucked up so badly it has already been privatized can’t anybody see that? Don’t buy any of it it all sucks!!!

Susan Niemann's avatar

CR? Costa Rica right? Thats a terrific option. Ive heard only good things about the healthcare in Costa Rica.

CA Productions/Carol Ann's avatar

Its sad that a group of grown men and woman who were elected to protect and defend us and our constitution have no balls.....then fucking quit. I think there will be several who walk away after the holidays.

Julie's avatar

Same. I totally feel the same way.

Douglas Paul Truhlar's avatar

Susan, you just got back from EU so tell us did they check your devices? I would think you’d be in Alligator Alcatraz.

Susan Niemann's avatar

I’m still here. I’m old and white. I live in redneck Missouri. I’m going with those odds.

Douglas Paul Truhlar's avatar

Susan I haven’t heard a word or seen a video nothing from a victim of what should be a crime, the content must be free speech unless and only maybe if you threatened someone but even then I don’t see action on any of it. I have found a national healthcare system in CR and am skipping buying any US of any name. It’s way too sketchy.

Susan Niemann's avatar

CR? You mean Costa Rica ?

Susan Niemann's avatar

No... I meant Missouri. I'm visiting Spain.

Douglas Paul Truhlar's avatar

Tired f explaining that yet, it was a typo people!

Thank you! I depend on that meme of Kegseth popping that skateboard into his own nut sack! It makes my day!

Good Day Jeff, I agree none of what is going on is normal or even close to normal. As u are aware I do play golf and looking at what the god king is attempting to control public courses in and around DC amount to closing off valuable golf resources for the non wealthy, non White players..it’s absurd. Which brings us to “Golf with MAGA”. I was heartened to observe last week a mega MAGAS in the group prefaced his remarks by stating he was not going to speak on politics. It would seem the fever of the god king is waning as other members followed suit. There seems to be a change in the air, maybe all the bs, lies, bravado of MAGAs is beginning to fall apart..these folks are figuring out they have been scammed..music to my ears. I did mention the destruction of the E. Wing of the WH, firing of the architect, the construction firm, the no permits, the Historical Commission that is required to approve any construction or demolition of our House… and they did not attempt to defend this boondoggle… Hope you have a good day fellow travelers and for those who celebrate Chanukah… enjoy.

HI2thDoc's avatar

I think your cogent, sane, and calm refutation of their delusional bullshit has penetrated their overly thick skulls, Fredo. Respect to you 🤜🏽🤛🏽✊🏽

Dayna Keiser's avatar

I think you are correct. We can hope many more will have their eyes opened soon.

Dave Drell's avatar

But the rank and file MAGA will still vote for him or his broken-ass GOP (Guardians of Pedophiles)

Cyndi's avatar

For which GOP, though? Political parties are like continents. Cracks become chasms until eventually the bedrock splits. Two smaller objects where one was.

HI2thDoc's avatar

The fissure is finally appearing, but until a complete chasm has formed, the former GOP is MAGA and anyone still in the party is therefore MAGA.

The self respecting, sane ones have left like Joe Walsh, Steve Schmidt, Cheri Jacobus, Nicolle Wallace, et al.

Fastball Fredo's avatar

Doc.. you are too kind and appreciate you…

shee-rah's avatar

It could be because prices have gone up due to Trump’s tariffs. That affects everyone, Trumpers and never-Trumpers alike.

arne link's avatar

Nevertheless, he persisted. Thank you for hanging in there.

I will commit bank robbery to financially reward a journalist who is willing to ask him if he needs the "West Wing" sign to remember where he is.

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

Personally I hope he wanders into the East Wing and falls into the crater of his own making. He's plastering his ugly gold tat on the WH walls like a 2-year-old running amok with a book of stickers.

SLS's avatar

What was that children's book about a purple crayon or something?

SPW's avatar

It ought to be changed to The Worst Wing.

Mingo's avatar

Imagine if someone sneaked into the White House and changed the signs around. If someone really wanted to screw with the demented old orange colostomy bag, they could rearrange the furniture. Dementia patients don't do well with changes to rooms.

Susie's avatar

I will be your alibi.

Hollie Rood's avatar

He probably looks at it and wonders “WTH is The West Wing”🤷 No guarantees any of his signs will actually mean anything. My Mom was in a care-home and had dementia. We had a digital photo frame and had to explain who the people were in the photos (her beloved Grandchildren and

Great grandchildren with whom she had long loving relationships with) She remembered when told but when they came around again minutes later, she’d forgotten who they were. I suspect the signs were “suggested” and accepted bc of tRUMP’s love of gold and mistaken belief of classy look, but ultimately they’re all for naught.

Songgirl Kim's avatar

I recently read this: The Trump administration argued that including American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters at press briefings would "severely intrude on the President's prerogative to control the image he presents to the public" and hinder his presentation, leading to lawsuits from disability advocates to restore access, though some ASL has been provided due to court orders.

You know who’s hearing impaired? Many of us older adults - whether inherited through family or attending too many rock concerts in the ‘70’s.

A hearing aid or two will soon be coming for you.

He is a vile, heinous person.

Lisa's avatar

After decades of being a mechanic, my 55 year old husband wears hearing aids. He takes them out when rump is talking, and then he smiles:)

Songgirl Kim's avatar

I remember treating my patients in the ICU. Many, MANY of them wore hearing aids. I wear bilateral hearing aids, and I have started learning ASL - in case I go completely deaf. My grandsons are learning it with me 💕

Peaceful Mary T.'s avatar

My hearing got damaged at the first rock concert I went to at the age of 17 (1971, The Who), and I've been waiting to get hearing aids until Trump is dead and gone. Great concert thought! :)

Songgirl Kim's avatar

I went to a YES concert at the Barn (the old stadium in Chicago) in 1974. It was so damn loud, my ears were still ringing the next morning.

Mary Hall's avatar

The late drummer for Yes (Alan White)'s widow is in my Red Hat Ladies group. Yoko Ono sent her flowers when Alan died because he played drums on "Imagine."

Songgirl Kim's avatar

That is so nice. I mostly remember Jon Anderson and Chris Squire. Damn they were good.

Songgirl Kim's avatar

Although Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon is iconic!

Peaceful Mary T.'s avatar

It's scary how fast it can happen! Sorry that it happened to you, too. But I hope you enjoyed the concert! :)

Songgirl Kim's avatar

It was fantastic!

Hollie Rood's avatar

I’m amazed, not sure why I should be actually, more like I love how timeless the music from the 60s-80s is (b4 God awful rap-I mean really 🤦‍♀️😖🤬). It still sounds amazing when you hear it on commercials or the backdrop at sporting events. No way can you do that with today’s music. It’s pretty much shite as the Brits might say 😉

Songgirl Kim's avatar

I think it’s because the music from the ‘60’s - ‘80’s was written, played, and recorded by actual musicians, not dancing entertainers. Some of these artists today have names that sound like lazy email passwords.

Hollie Rood's avatar

Nailed it💯‼️

Mary Hall's avatar

I just saw The Who in Seattle a few months ago. Killer concert but we knew to wear earplugs because they have reputation for being LOUD.

Peaceful Mary T.'s avatar

I wish I'd had the wisdom when I was 17 that I have now at the age of 72! LOL!

Hollie Rood's avatar

Oh yes. I’ve mentioned before, every night before I fall asleep I say, “Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference” Those words cover my youth and the state of our Country and the evil malignant narcissist “in chief”

THREE CHERISHED AMERICAN SERVICEMEN MASSACRED BY ISSIS!

THIS IS MUCH WORSE THAN BENGHAZI!!!

WHERE WAS DONALD TRUMP AND WHAT WAS HE DOING DURING THIS CATASTROPHE?

WAS OUR PRESIDENT OUT ON A GOLF COURSE INSTEAD OF PROTECTING OUR SOLDIERS?

TRUMP HAD SAID EARLIER THAT ISSIS HAD BEEN DEFEATED!

AND WHAT ABOUT PETE HEGSETH?

WE MUST IMMEDIATELY CONVENE MULTIPLE CONGRESSIONAL INVESTIGATIONS!

HI2thDoc's avatar

The rethugs grilled Hillary for 11 hours in one day about Benghazi. Anyone wanna bet that the Pedo Protector Party holds exactly zero hearings on this incident? Anyone?

Megan Ross's avatar

And, what was ignored about Hillary Clinton being grilled for 11 hours is, that she had begged Congress to allocate more money to defend those consulates and embassies. The RepubliCons refused her any additional funding. No one in the GOP Congress cared enough about our diplomats to protect them. The blood is on THEIR hands.

Gayna's avatar

Oh he came out and said there’d be a response and 20 minutes later was making jokes. He is such a pig

Peggy Hendrickson's avatar

I live in a small town in southern AZ where the weather is still warm and sunny these days (daily temps 80 daytime/50 night). In past seasons things have gotten pretty busy this time of year, and traffic can be terrible in business districts. Not this year. Our large Canadian snowbird population is absent. It seems to me that without the injection of foreign cash our economy is at even greater risk. How can such absolutely stupid people be in charge of everything? Where did they find these ignoramuses? It is so hard to watch our country destroy itself. tRump is the worm in my brain.

Megan Ross's avatar

We're experiencing the same thing here in Palm Springs. In fact, lots of Canadian snowbirds are selling their winter homes here and getting the hell out. I don't blame them. It has definitely affected our economy here and several restaurants are debating on closing down because about 30 to 40% of their winter income depends on Canadian snowbirds.

Mary Hall's avatar

Hi Megan, I'm in fabulous Palm Springs too (Twin Palms neighborhood) and our condo complex is usually about 75% Canadian in the winter. So far, there are only two Canadians here and one of them has their condo up for sale. In fact, there are double the number of condos for sale this year over last year.

arne link's avatar

We Coachella Valle residents should get together for coffee. It would be great to share experiences. I live in Sun City, Shadow Hills.

Megan Ross's avatar

I'm in northwest Desert Hot Springs in Paradise Springs, a 55+ gated community. I love it here. I moved here from Bainbridge Island in Washington state for my health. I just couldn't do the 8+ months a year of the cold, gray and wet weather anymore. My bones don't ache here! I actually was looking at houses in Indio, at Sun City Shadow Hills. It's a bit cooler in the summer up here in DHS, in the western Shadow Hills, than in Indio and that was the deciding factor for me.

Mary Hall's avatar

I would love, love, love to do that Arne!

Megan Ross's avatar

It's seriously disturbing. I really miss my Canadian friends and the neighbors who have been driven out of here because of TRump. They've sold their homes and are instead going to be spending their winters in Mexico now. He's destroying us more each day.😞

Koko in AZ's avatar

I sure hope the next Dem POTUS packs SCOTUS like Biden should have done to undo all the harm "Justice" Roberts' clan of Repugnants have done to this country. They (along with Moscow Mitch) are to blame for this all happening in the first place.

Mary Hall's avatar

"By rights Mitch McConnell's tombstone should read that he presided over the end of the Senate. And I'd add a second line: He broke America. No man has done more in recent years to undermine the functioning of the US government. He has been the epitome of unprincipled leadership, the triumph of tactics in service of short-term power." -- Dana Milbank

Pamela Van Sickle's avatar

Yes, Mary! I have been yelling this for years. He condemned the J6 Insurrection publicly then refused to impeach. This is on his head.

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

Absofuckinglutely. Trump has been enabled by the 6 Shits on the Supreme Court and all the brain worms in the GOP. As well as his oligarchic donors, domestic and foreign, and the leaky prostate proceduralists among the Dems in Congress. At least state and local leaders have developed the muscle that's withered away in DC.

Koko in AZ's avatar

It's time to get rid of all the obsequious sycophants in the Repugnant Party, and the milquetoast of the Dems. Also, age limits!

Richard's avatar

My wife and I are almost 65 years old. Our daughter is 27 years old and our son is 23 years old. The both of them are attending college here in the USA and have part time jobs.

Tess's avatar

Yes-we HAVE to get through this…the sooner the better. C’mon somebody-answer our prayers to get this clown show over with!!!

HI2thDoc's avatar

Is there nothing he cannot do? Personally hosting the Kennedy Center Awards for such luminaries as um, whoever they were. And now to manage the municipal golf courses in the DC area? All while "solving" a gazinty-million wars, making the best economy like no one has ever seen, and redecorating the WH in a way that would make Louis XIV blush. So much time for these things, because you know, there's nothing else he thinks is important. Pettiness is the point!

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

Regression to an earlier mental age is standard with dementia. Trump is a snotty teenager decorating his walls with garbage, cosplaying Master of the Universe through AI videos, spending his nights bleating out shit on social media and falling asleep in class. He's an adolescent jerk-off, not a toddler (except for the terminal incontinence).
