I said to my friend the other day that it just can't get any worse but somehow the repugnants will find a way, you can count on it. Then the next day trump's name came up for Speaker but we both agreed he wouldn't do it and he'd never get the votes anyway. Now I think I know why he won't do it and why he's backing Gym. He most likely made a deal with Gym that he would not let certification take place in the House in 2024 WHEN trump loses, (he will probably be found guilty before the election anyway and a chunk of repugnants won't even vote) and so if trump was the Speaker, he couldn't, well technically, stop the certification.
