Let's not forget the politician who pushed the Anita Hill shaming.. he's currently the president.

I think Biden deserves some credit for allowing her to testify at length. I was way less sophisticated back then, but I didn't think he was attacking her—it was Arlen Specter. I think I watched all of her testimony on TV. . And I believed her completely.

I agree. Biden was doing his job. It's unfortunate that the GOP rammed the Thomas nomination through, because obviously he is and was a terrible person and in no way deserving a seat on the bench.

Totally agree. Back then, Supreme Court nominees were confirmed almost automatically. The Democrats may have feared that they would look bad for voting down a black justice.

He was replacing a black judge so they got a self hating black man to replace him.

I think you are probably right about that. I'm sure they thought they might get. mercilessly dragged in the press if they voted against him.

Back then the majority of people, especially men, rarely believed women's accusations of sexual harassment, assault or rape.

If Anita had been white he would have been tarred and feathered and left out in the hot sun to bake. I have always admired her bravery. I keep saying that black women will be the ones to save us all.

It is a great shame upon them. Also, they could have found a truly worthy black man to fill the post but they chose a small and low person with no morals. They did that to America.

Yes, they did, and more. The biggest damage was to our court system.

We have had some really awful elected officials in WI, winning in gerrymandered districts with Koch brother money. State officials, no matter how terrible, move up into some higher level of the Government, like Mr. FoxConn himself, Scott Walker. We have Tom Tiffany now in the House, waiting his chance to get into the Senate. This is not a good or competent person. He gets an F rating on the environment every year and displays it proudly in his office , voted No on 142 bills in 2023, that would benefit the environment. He was absent for vote 143. Our wells in Northern WI , the headwaters, contain forever chemicals as far north as Ashland on the banks of Lake Superior. City water in Rhinelander is contaminated with PFAs. I watched Dark Water on Netflix and now I know why. If you haven't seen it, you must do so. It is infuriating and will break your heart. And it is still happening. DuPont has been knowingly poisoning the entire country since the 1950's. 99% of us have their poison in our bodies from the manufacture of Teflon. Dark Water blew my mind. It's like the story of Erin Brockovich on steroids. Same family of chemicals too.

It is not a documentary, but a movie that is based on fact. Mark Ruffalo is the star. It is really excellent.

Totally, haven’t we all (hopefully) evolved over time? Age brings wisdom. And President Biden has served this country through every horrible event life threw at him, and he came out a more compassionate and wise. He’s good man, a man that we need to have represent us now!

more narcissistic and more greedy.

The only evidence of life is growth. Too bad for the orange turd that the only thing that he managed to grow was his gut.

That is what I reply to people all the time when they list some of Biden's racist sounding gaffs. Some of them are just really old, & from a different time, & I truly believe he has grown, softened, & changed; & then some of the more recent ones are just his gaffs, where what he says comes out sounding bad, but he had not malicious or racist intent.

He to his credit did apologize to Anita Hill, more than once. There were many trolls saying he did not when he was running in 2020, I don't know why they lied as it was so easily Googled.

True, but as Vickie said, he at least admitted he'd made a mistake back then, and apologized for it. I'm not a Biden fanboi, but I do acknowledge when someone is remorseful for a mistake made, regardless of how long ago.

Rest assured that VonShitznpants the Orange Turd (or any other Republican for that matter) would never in his lifetime admit he'd made a mistake, let alone apologize for it.
