Oh, I've got those childhood memories too but in my family if you were caught uttering that kind of disparaging language toward black people, you would get a beating for it. We loved them in my small rural town. They were kind and gentle and at that time, we were all in it together as far as treating each other well. My dad had a farm and a drug store and we were with them all the time and loved them and I remember nothing but kindness from them. But now I know what was done to them, keeping them poor and subservient even with all that kindness and it's very very painful to me.

I am from Georgia and I never heard anything like that at school or home, thank god. We had moved to Fulton County, which I am so proud of right now.
