He, Vance, Cruz, GW Bush, are living proof that the hardest part of Ivy League is getting in. Their essays must have been heart-wrenching stories of overcoming odds. Bush's daddy just paid off Yale and Harvard (MBA)

Isn’t that how the vast majority of the entitled rich brats get into the best schools ? It certainly doesn’t seem to have a friggen thing to do with intelligence…just plenty of 💰💰 DO RE ME ! Then after a few well paid ghost students get them a diploma doing their assignments they become the next crop of politicians! Heavy lifting isn’t in their resume so the government no show job is a great fit ! Isn’t it so ironic that the best schools of higher learning produce the least amount of intelligent graduates 🎓??Daddys dime 💰produces our least intelligent leaders and undoubtably the present bitter harvest in the congress is without any question the most barren crop of blighted intellect in the history of our nation! It’s well past the time for plowing under the depleted unfit harvests and rotate to a more productive crop of leaders !The alternative is total political starvation and perpetual famine for the electorate! Vote Blue for the best shot at our democratic system and our survival! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

"Government no show job" is a great description of present day political office in the Republican party. Not just when a trump appoints a donor to some cabinet position or department head, but to the actual elected federal offices themselves. A Republican House seat is basically just a 2 year gig of promoting yourself to get re-elected (exhibit A : MarjieT Greene)

It's also a descriptor for these second generation trust fund babies who only "work" in the family business, and the nepotism political babies who take over Grandpa (allegedly, Grassley is holding on for his grandson) or uncle's seat. Look at how many political dynasties have held the big chair: Adams, Harrison, Roosevelt (but they worked for the people), Bush, would have been Kennedy like it's left in a will.

The Supreme Court decision undoing affirmative action helped keep the ivies, and college in general, in the hands of the wealthy. I suspect this goes in hand with the push for high school students to go into trades, like mechanics and carpentry, not medicine or law. Keep the professional careers in the hands of the elite. We're good enough to fix their cars and build their houses, not good enough to design them.

The Trumps have BA degrees from Wharton, because Daddy cleared the path - BOTH generations.

Really great to have degrees that are bought and paid for! As a practical useful tool…. but for having someone else doing the work to get them they are just another tool for the con artists resume ! Nothing wrong with the trades earning a $125000.00 when you get your journeyman’s book isn’t a bad starting point! Nothing to be ashamed about working as a tradesman you need some heavy duty book learning and not just a strong back as many people assume! I do however agree that every single individual in the country has a right to earn a degree if it’s Earned ! Many in the trades use that vocation as a stepping stone to higher education and earning a degree as well as being able to pay for it without having Daddy dearest buy them one ! As for the Supreme Court pardon me but Fuck them !
