I am currently in Texas to spend the holiday with my children. Ever since I was a little girl, the undocumented people gather in places like Home Depot or Lowe’s or other places where contractors come and pick them up to do day labor. I drove past the Home Depot three days in a row last week. At least fifty people were hanging around the parking lot every single day. This is well known throughout Texas that this is where these people gather looking for work. I said to my husband, “Greg Abbott is such a piece of lying shit. These people have been coming here for years and ICE knows exactly where they are, but they don’t do a damned thong because Texas needs day laborers.” I can’t wait to see what old Hot Wheels is going to do—deport all the undocumented which are the most in texas than any other state, or let the entire economy of Texas collapse. There’s a lot of Trump voters running those construction companies not to mention all of the Nannie’s who raise Texans’ children and do all of the landscaping and vegetable harvesting in the state. Greggy boy has quite the conundrum.
Construction projects, roofers, asphalt & cement crews,etc., go bye-bye? Good luck Texas! And who’s going to work the slaughterhouses and the produce fields?
