Actually, I ask, where are Padilla and Schiff? Schiff was a skunk during the primary and only got my vote in the general because of the opposition. I never voted for Dianne in the primaries, but I have to hand it to her, from 2003 on she was always where I wanted her to be. Barbara Boxer was always in the right place. Butler was a loss. Apparently, both Padilla and Schiff support genocide. We went from two senators from Northern California to two senators from Southern California, and it shows. I apologize, Arne.

Alex Padilia is the only one who answered my emails. I didn't vote for Adam in the Primary; I thought Katy Porter was a better candidate. I did vote for him in the General Election. In the House, my Rep. is a Republican. Doesn't answer any emails and when I called his DC office, all I got was "sorry I missed your call." Vince Fong is a waste.

Actually, Barbara Lee was the best candidate. But who ran against Fong in '24? I sent money to a number of Democratic candidates (Tran, Min, etc.) last year. If I know who ran against Fong, I can keep my eyes out for a candidate in 26, and maybe your state assembly member and senator. I don't have a lot of money (we're on SSA) but I do what I can. Lee's replacement in the House, Simon, is outstanding! I can't believe how good she is, and I was very dubious at the start.

Democrat Marisa Wood ran in the Primary but there was not a Democrat in the General Election. In my opinion, Katy Porter was the best candidate. I watched her when she was in the House and she was very good. Always had facts and figures to use against the Repubs.

Without a doubt Katy is a star. But Barbara (she was my rep for over 20 years) was sole congressperson who voted against the illegal invasion of Afghanistan in October 2001. Everyone else, D & R, supported Bush. But Barbara stood up. She and Katy are probably the same, but I've seen Barbara vote the vote. It's too bad, I didn't get any emails from Marisa Wood for the primary.

Due respect to Barbara Lee, but she was about to turn 79. Having had Dianne Feinstein die in office at the age of 90, the last thing we needed was another Senator who was older. Someone younger and more vital was necessary.

Does she represent you? Bernie seems to be doing okay. Dianne stayed too long, but it was only the last five years, and she was often too conservative for me. Where exactly do you live? In Barbara's district?

I'm in SoCal. As you know, Senators rep the entire state. Aging is an individual process. Some people handle it better than others. Doesn't matter, there was simply no way I was about to vote for another older person--no matter how vital--to succeed someone who literally fell apart in front of my eyes.

What Adam Schiff did to eliminate his true competition--Katy Porter--by supporting Steve Garvey in the primary was vicious. He knew Garvey didn't stand a chance in the general. But that's retail politics for you.
