I was teared up by a variety of the portions of Booker's Filibuster, jeff. Its an amazing resolve that shows through in the face of the adversity we are dealing with. Honestly. Well that and it gives us all hope. Really. I think the more incredible thing was, he dehydrated himself on purpose to avoid from having to "excuse himself to the bathroom" to do it all.

Aha, I think you're right. I referred to it as a filibuster -- and being an editor I should have looked it up first! However, when I did look it up, I noted that an older meaning of "filibuster" is "to carry out insurrectionist activities in a foreign country." Loosely translated, that almost applies to what Booker did in the strange country we're living in.

Also saw a video last week from AOC about calling. She was knitting as she explained that the calls are working. She says maga call consistently about everything so even if they are minority the reps are listening to 'enthusiasm' and consistency. She says Dems calls far less often in general - maybe because we think the common sense answers are so self evident we don't think we need to call - but she says consistent calling is how they measure enthusiasm and they are getting plenty of it from people. Hence Corey Booker matching that need for people to see someone do something meaningful.

Most of the past recessions in the U.S were caused by speculation and greed.

This one will be caused by ignorance and incompetence.

This is what happens when we elect to the office of President a person who is a liar, a fraud, a con, and incompetent in “all things business”, a person who has filled his Cabinet with ignorant, incompetent scum.

Like most recessions, this one began in New England (it began in early February), will roll down to the Mid-Atlantic and will then roll all the way out to the West Coast.

America’s Disgrace Trump is leading our country to financial disaster.

Maybe… this so called Liberation Day is just a euphemism for Own the Libs Day… who knows?

And then faux news Harris Faulkner dared to imply that 401k people (retirees) should do the war effort - “Look, when this nation used to go to war, people in this country would support the war effort with their materials at home and making things for weaponry and all of that. We gotta do 100 percent buy-in over this bumpy period.”

So screw your end of life savings and retirements and take one for the team! You’re old, disposable and we need your money! JFC. Has everyone with a microphone lost their ever loving minds!

Donald postponed his announcement until after the markets closed. He didn't want the spectacle of the Dow shedding hundreds of points with every sentence out of his anusmouth.

And like most modern recessions, was caused by a Republican led administration

That's just it. The only thing this moronic turd is good at is tearing things down that were working just fine before he got reelected. It's part of the destroying us from within plan as ordered by Cousin Vlady. Now his assholiness is demanding that the US remove French from the products we export to Canada. Like that's going to happen. Hell, he can't even speak without murdering the King's English. If only some of the Congessional GOP had the balls to call him out on his daily lunacies.

If french is removed from products coming into Canada, they won't be saleable. Thanks to Quebec's language laws, which are bs to most Canadians, but in this case, it works out.

Not only that, these sewer clowns are demanding that Europe comply with the US' anti-DEI regulations. The European countries' reactions to the anti-DEI demands have been nothing short of hilarious.

This one coming will absolutely be caused by greed. Not everyone in his cabinet is ignorant. The ones that scare me the most are the smart ones.

And just in case you wanted to know more about the incompetence and faux business acumen, George Takei was apparently on the apprentice yrs ago and his NDA just expired, so he may be talking soon.

I live in Oregon and I kept getting offered $100 to be a block captain in Wisconsin! The spam texting and phone calls I continued to get from Wisconsin were nonstop. I don’t know what’s going on there with the Republicans, but it’s certainly bent, if not crooked if Elon is soliciting Oregonians to be block captains. How is any of that lawful, whether I live in Wisconsin or not?

Spam calls should be going immediately to your phones spam folder- you aren’t even aware if them until you go to delete all your trash

After 25+ hours on his feet and speaking powerfully to the moment, Cory was interviewed by Rachel Maddow and was fully able to speak intelligently and, as she pointed out, still able to form full, relevant, and clear sentences. Something donvict can’t accomplish under the best of circumstances.

He wants to go to Mars. Thatʻs all he cares about. His bro friend Peter Thiel is planning to have his head frozen upon his death so he can be resurrected in a later time of space travel. It is tragic because they could certainly fund space research while also doing more for the needy here on earth, but they have no empathy.
