I learned a new term from Dr. Heather Cox Richardson’s most recent “Letter from an American” last night, when she wrote about the Dali crash: “engagement farming.” Alex Jones and other lowlifes post hysterical stories and when other conspiracy nuts click on them, ka-ching! It’s how he got so rich after Sandy Hook, the rat bastard.
What the F is wrong with these people? I hate to even use "people" as somehow they are not. And I hope Laura Loomer's family members all die of cancer. What a piece of sh$t she is.
Blatant racism. That is what the election in 2016 brought us. The fact that a man who was once sued by the U.S. Government for housing discrimination rose to the highest office in the land, meant it wasi fine for everyone to take their white hoods out of the closet. I'm sorry to say this about the country I love; but racism is in our country's DNA. The difference today is that people get away with being obvious about it. When I was growing up, especially if you went to an east coast liberal college; you had little idea who the racists were.
The simple fact is, that the cargo ship completely lost power and the local pilot captaining the ship immediately jumped into action and called Mayday, most likely saving hundreds of lives. These fuckwads at Fox Noise and other right-wing morons are nothing but hatemongers and chaos junkies. How are these people still allowed to maliciously slander people with absolutely NO consequences?! I'm beyond enraged at these motherfkrs and am ready to rumble at this point.
I’m no expert but a lot of the crippling infrastructure in this nation was built by the octogenarians in Congress. Well, the hard working people of their time and lots of slave labor if we include railroads….No expert but maybe the problem is the retirement home called Congress. Maybe the replacement bridge won’t be named after the racist author of the national anthem!

Didn't know the history of the ship, but other real news outlets reported it lost power prior to the crash. It was also reported that the captain radioed an SOS and explained the situation to the harbormaster, who informed the MD authorities, who then shut down the ends of the bridge before anyone else could cross it. The last time I checked, the first responders were still in search and rescue mode, so they must think some of those missing are still alive. But that info is a bunch of hours old now.
As for the MAGAts, well, it's becoming harder to fault them for thinking the way they do. After all, if you're only going to have one "news" source, and that source feeds you bullshit all day, then I expect becoming a mushroom is inevitable.
