It was also reported that the captain radioed an SOS and explained the situation to the harbormaster, who informed the MD authorities, who then shut down the ends of the bridge before anyone else could cross it. The last time I checked, the first responders were still in search and rescue mode, so they must think some of those missing are still alive. But that info is a bunch of hours old now.
As for the MAGAts, well, it's becoming harder to fault them for thinking the way they do. After all, if you're only going to have one "news" source, and that source feeds you bullshit all day, then I expect becoming a mushroom is inevitable.
