Max Miller fucking sucks. Republicans don’t care.
because they fucking suck, too.
trigger warning: everybody in this story fucking sucks.
the Republican Party has an abuser problem. no, strike that. the Republican Party would have an abuser problem, if it had any moral center at all — but it doesn’t. the GOP doesn’t give a fuck about the violent shitheads in their midst. apparently for them, domestic abuse is a feature, not a bug.
now, the thing you need to know about Ohio Republican Rep. Max Miller is that he seems nice.
A few weeks ago, news broke that Emily Moreno, the ex-wife of Ohio congressman Max Miller, had accused him of several shocking acts of abuse, both toward her—those included scalding her with hot water and holding a gun to her head—and toward the couple’s baby daughter, whose collarbone was allegedly fractured by Miller.
that right there is your first clue that everyone in this story fucking sucks.
you would imagine that with a stellar resumé like Miller’s, Republicans would be eager to rid themselves of this human stain. you would imagine wrong.
and, as always, the moral rot starts at the top, with the Abuser-in-Chief.
“it’s a very sad thing. I know Max. he’s a good person. I mean, I always thought he was a very good person. I’m going to let the families figure that out … it’s a very sad thing, especially when you know someone so well, to be going through that. but it’s— accusations.”
adjudicated rapist says what?
look, I did warn you that everybody in this story fucking sucks.
should we really be surprised that Preznit Fuckwit — a guy with 28 of his own credible abuse allegations against him — takes Miller’s side? it’s so sad ‘for HIM to be going through that.’
not the wife who ahem allegedly had a gun held to her head, not the daughter with the broken collar bone, but Max Miller — he’s the real victim here.
Donny’s going to do what he always does: pass the buck. he’s going to let the family work it out amongst themselves. how nice of him. what a kind and generous humanitarian!
with Dear Leader having shown them the True Way Forward, Republicans had their marching orders: pass the buck and say it’s a family matter.
NEWS NATION: The abuse allegations against Rep. Max Miller -- Moreno says Miller should resign, but President Trump disagrees. Do you think Miller should step down?
REP. JIMMY PATRONIS: No. I agree with the president. This is a family fight. Unfortunately, divorces are messy. There are two sides to every story.
oh, divorces are messy. thanks for clearing that up, honcho. you’ve really done the nation a solid.
profiles in cowardice abound.
Sen. Husted won’t call for Rep. Max Miller to withdraw from running for reelection despite horrible abuse allegations: “Let’s focus on letting them sort through this on a family level.”
John Thune was pretty much all ‘why the fuck are you bothering me about this?’
RAJU: Sen. Moreno is calling for Max Miller to resign. Do you side w/Moreno?
THUNE: It’s a family matter and, um, I don't have any observations beyond that
Q: If a member of Congress is facing domestic abuse allegations, should they continue to serve?
T: It’s a House matter. It’s a family issue too
just about the only Republican speaking out against Max Miller right now is Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno, who — get this — just so happens to be Miller’s ex-father-in-law. that’s right, Emily Moreno — the ahem allegedly abused ex-wife — is Bernie Moreno’s daughter.
“my daughter lives in constant fear of this man ... you can’t fathom what that makes me feel like when the dad’s number one job is to protect your kids... if there’s any minimum standard for being an elected official, he feels to meet it. I don’t care about the politics at all.”
that’s all well and good, but — spoiler alert — it’s taken Moreno two years to finally get around to denouncing his piece of shit ex-son-in-law. so hold your applause for Bernie, because here’s why he’s all of a sudden doing this now: he needs to take the heat off his own shitfuckery. Moreno is the asshole who had the nerve last week to say to Dr. Fauci, ‘who the fuck do you think you are?’
after catching no end of flak in the press for that, Moreno’s just desperate to change the subject, and recast himself as the good guy. as if.
I told you — everybody in this story fucking sucks.
as for Max Miller, his idea of damage control was to go on Jake Tapper’s show and make oblique threats to his father-in-law. listen to this whiny little sleazeball.
“he has taken two years to publicly acknowledge for me to resign from my seat. why is that, Jake? what I can tell you is, if my daughter came to me, and she said ‘my ex-husband did x, y and z,’ and then I waited, because I was nervous that a political livestream was going to expose a deeply and personal embarrassing matter to the Senator, for him to take that action? sadly, this has nothing to do with my daughter, Jake, and that’s what this entire thing is about. this is nothing more than an individual who’s being politically vindictive, talking about a blue bunny, when I have text messages I can show you from our parent coordinator, who is a mandatory court reporter who said that Mr. Moreno would be coming over my home, and then another individual came, who I don’t know.”
what the fuck did we all just listen to? what is this ‘deeply and personal embarrassing matter’ that Miller seems to be threatening to divulge?
is it this?
Some have suggested that Moreno had been silent because Miller was blackmailing him. Moreno, this theory goes, is a closeted gay man, as evidenced by a 2008 post on Adult Friend Finder in which Moreno appeared to be looking for men for sex. Moreno said it was a prank pulled by an intern, a story the former intern confirmed. But in recent text messages unearthed by Mother Jones as part of the ongoing custody dispute between Emily Moreno and Miller, Miller does seem to have recently threatened the senator. “Everyone is going to get to know you better than your wife does,” he wrote to Bernie Moreno.
you know what I’m going to say next, so let’s all repeat it together: everybody in this story fucking sucks.
the entire Republican Party has lost its way. morally and ethically, they’ve shit the bed, and now they’re rolling around in the mess.
there is no bottom to their depraved barrel. they’re totally fine with needy families being thrown off public assistance. they’re totes cool with masked and armed federal thugs roaming the streets of our cities, murdering anyone who looks at them funny. they have no problem with immigrants being disappeared into slave-labor gulags, or with Venezuelan fisherman and Iranian schoolgirls being bombed to kingdom come.
Republicans are down with all of that shit, so should we really be surprised that they can’t be bothered to care about domestic abuse?
each and every one of them, they all fucking suck.
ugh. we really need to change the subject, so let’s talk about this abomination.
Donny has ripped up the South Lawn once again, and is replacing it with a helipad — because apparently, it’s beneath Dear Leader to be expected to walk across bare grass in order to step into Marine One. that’s not how kings roll, you know.
so, at great expense, he’s had all kinds of granite and marble trucked in so he can build this unnecessary eyesore, this Epstein Helipad™.
it’s just another tale of Donny’s boundless narcissism, and his need to create vulgar monuments to himself, right? well, here’s where this story get truly fucked up — because with the construction on the helipad about halfway done, Dear Leader has decided he hates the way it looks, and he’s ordered it to be torn up and redone.
President Donald Trump has directed contractors to redo weeks of work on his planned White House helipad, frustrated with its appearance and questioning whether the slope of the White House lawn needs to be changed, according to two people who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss his private comments.
are you fucking kidding me? this is what Donny is obsessing over, as the entire world goes to shit all around us? some completely unnecessary helipad, that’s now being built twice?
while you and I practically have to take out a second mortgage just to fill our car’s gas tank, Donny has been sinking an endless pile of money into one vanity project after another. the Epstein Dance Hall. the Epstein Parking Lot where the Rose Garden used to be. the Epstein Reflecting Pool. the Epstein Arch of Triumph. the Epstein Golden Lions, for fuck’s sake.
and now, the Epstein Helipad.
it just makes you want to tear your hair out — and it’s just one more thing that the next Democratic president’s Secretary of Un-Fucking All That Shit is going to have to deal with.
now look at the AI-generated slop that Frosty McShithead posted to his crappy app.
it’s really weird how the only images of Donny in a United States military uniform are those that have been generated by a six-fingered plagiarism robot.
I guess no actual photos exist because when Donny was asked by his government to wear a real uniform, and pick up a gun and defend his country, Donny responded by getting his father to pay a quack doctor to gin up a bullshit note about imaginary bone spurs.
but tell me one more time how this stolen valor bastard needs a brand-new helipad. that’s such a cool story.
holy shit, we really need some Daily Claudia after all that.
let’s check in with our favorite ladies who lunch, Ms Spouse and her bff Kathy, at the Ossining restaurant 3 Westerly Bar and Grill on August 28, 2025.
have a great Wednesday, everyone! don’t be a Republican. every single one of them fucking sucks.
here’s your daily reminder that I can be found on Blue Sky at this link.
this is going to be my closing message for the foreseeable future:
practice self-care. do what you need to do to keep sane. if that means you need to disengage with my daily posts for a while, I get it. this community of ours will still be here when you return.
to all the people who have signed on in the days since the election, welcome aboard. settle in as we all try to deal with the shitfuckery that’s ahead of us.
we are all in this together, and we are all here for each other.
