make no mistake, this is the Project 2025 shutdown
once again, Donny is about to punch himself in the face
Project 2025 — the Heritage Foundation’s shittastic plan to drag American democracy out back to the gravel pit and replace it with Christofascist theocracy — is back in the news.
Donny Convict loves him some Project 2025. seriously, what’s not to adore about a plan that crowns him King Fuckface the First? being king is awesome. you get to scream “off with the Venezuelan fishermens’ heads!” — and there’s always some fuckwad flunky like Nosferatu McGoebbels willing to make it so.
so naturally, during the shutdown, the Mad King has been quite publicly dry-humping Russ Vought, one of the principal architects of Project 2025. Vought is now Donny’s Director of the Office of Management and Budget.
that’s right, Project 2025 now has a man on the inside.
“I have a meeting today with Russ Vought, he of PROJECT 2025 Fame, to determine which of the many Democrat Agencies, most of which are a political SCAM, he recommends to be cut, and whether or not those cuts will be temporary or permanent. I can’t believe the Radical Left Democrats gave me this unprecedented opportunity. They are not stupid people, so maybe this is their way of wanting to, quietly and quickly, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DJT”
o frabjous day! Preznit Fuckwit and Russ the Impaler have been deciding — unilaterally, and also quite unconstitutionally — which government agencies to hollow out, and which civil servants to fire.
granted, Russ the Impaler has been at this fuckery since his first day on the job. hollowing out government is the whole reason he was appointed — but the shutdown is the perfect cover for ramping up the firings. Russ can keep on impaling all the civil servants he want, and blame it on the shutdown.
but here’s where Donny is once again about to punch himself in the face — because the self-sabotaging fuck always overreaches.
he’s too greedy, too impulsive, and too impaired to know when to stop.
what Donny is forgetting in his arrogance is that the American public wants no part of Project 2025 — and the more they know about it, the more they hate it.
here’s a thing Donny posted on July 5, 2024, during the presidential campaign.
“I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.”
Donny “knows nothing” about Project 2025?
fact check: bull fucking shit. Donny was totally on board with the Project, but he had to pretend otherwise — because once the public found out about it, they hated it so much that it became toxic.
as NBC News reported on Sept 24, 2024 —
About 57% of registered voters report feeling negatively about Project 2025, with 51% saying they see the proposal “very” negatively and 7% more saying they view it “somewhat” negatively. Just 4% of voters reported viewing the conservative policy plan positively.
remember, Project 2025 isn’t just about Russ the Impaler mass-firing government employees, and Donny getting to be king. there’s that whole ‘implement a christofascist theocracy’ thing. look at this smorgasbord of fuckery. they’re using the Handmaid’s Tale as a how-to manual.
as I wrote the day after Donny feigned ignorance about P2025,
the American people don’t want any of the shit they’re peddling. they like having clean air and water. they like knowing their hamburgers have been inspected by the FDA, and their their pharmaceuticals won’t kill them.
and the average American sure as hell doesn’t want religious zealots policing what goes on in their bedroom.
the more Americans hear about Project 2025, the less they like it.
as the presidential campaign wore on, Project 2025 eventually became so toxic that the Heritage Foundation had to pretend to disband it, and Donny had to pretend to disavow it — and, quite maddeningly, the fuckers got away with it. here’s an excerpt from my July 31, 2024 post about Project 2025.
Republicans count on voters being dumb as fuck. they count on voters being uninformed. they count on voters being in deep denial, going “oh come on, they wouldn’t really do that, would they?”
Republicans are counting on a lazy, corporate-controlled media being too obsessed with taking down Joe Biden to spend any time reporting on y’know, the end of democracy.
goddammit, I hate being right.
so here we are, 15 months and one election later — and now, all those Project 2025 chickens are beginning to come home to roost. Americans are just starting to learn that their health insurance premiums are about to double — or worse — once the Affordable Care Act subsidies get shitcanned at the end of this year.
so keep it up, Donny — keep going too far.
keep raising the cost of everyone’s healthcare. keep raising the cost of everything, due to your incoherent tariff polities.
keep snipping away at the social safety net.
keep invading American cities, teargassing citizens and handcuffing children.
and please, do keep slobbering all over Russ the Impaler, and reminding everyone about how much they hate Project 2025.
it was easy to lull Americans into a false sense of security before any of this fuckery happened. nobody wanted to believe it was possible. ‘oh come on, they wouldn’t really do that, would they?’ but now it has happened, ‘vote for Republicans’ is going to be a much harder sell in 2026.
once again, Donny’s incompetence, arrogance, clownfuckery, and inability to stay out of his own way could be what saves us.
remember, Everything Donny Touches Dies™ — and now, with any luck, that will include his own fascist agenda.
here’s your daily reminder that I can be found on Blue Sky at this link.
this is going to be my closing message for the foreseeable future:
practice self-care. do what you need to do to keep sane. if that means you need to disengage with my daily posts for a while, I get it. this community of ours will still be here when you return.
to all the people who have signed on in the days since the election, welcome aboard. settle in as we all try to deal with the shitfuckery that’s ahead of us.
we are all in this together, and we are all here for each other.

I know, it's also the Epstein Shutdown, what with Holy Mike adjourning the House for another week so that he doesn't have to swear in Adelita Grijalva — but there's enough material there for a whole 'nother post
I'm afraid it doesn't matter if Americans hate Project 2025. It didn't matter that most Americans hate everything the administration is doing. I was one of those who wanted the Dems to hold firm and demand no changes to ACA. Now I feel like a fool, and we played right into Vought's hands. And the military is in our cities. When are the silent generals going to say no to unlawful orders?
