It's what I love, and yet what frustrates me, about these MAGA numbskulls. They're all so desperate to shore up their own beliefs with anything at all, that they'll believe anything at all, and start spouting it out like gospel without even doing the tiniest bit of "Is this real???" research.

And time after time, they wind up looking foolish because their gullibility factor is off the charts.

Still, it's fun to watch though.

It blows my mind that Trump supporters only understanding of the Durham Report is the conclusion that Trump is free of any ties to Russia and totally exhonorated. We are truly walking around with the most uneducated people among us. Anyone with half a brain could not have gotten to that conclusion from the report. It's so freaking scary.

Jim Jordan is a very, very small man (not referring to his height) who is also short in physical stature (THIS one refers to height.). He has yet to accomplish anything meaningful in his life other than convincing those who are not paying attention, that they should keep him in office so he can continue achieving nothing while screaming loudly and slinging around false accusations at the top of his lungs. He desperately needs his “15 minutes” of fame because that’s all he has. He is indeed, a very, very small man. How sad.

And yet still photographs are nothing compared to his performance “running” this shitshow of a committee. If you saw this behavior in real life you’d cross the street. And if he was black, a cop would probably shoot him. Or a 24-yr-old would put him in a chokehold.

I've always wondered about the wives of these morons. I've come to the conclusion that they

must be equally stupid. And while I'm at it, I'll also conclude, their litters of mini-magas, are on their way to being just as fucking dumb.

If it weren't for laughing, I would be crying to witness how low these people in the Congress have stooped to. I used to have respect for the legislature, and still do but not for these morons, Gym as a starter, who are doing nothing but a temper tantrum. Toddlers are better than these who appear in adult physiology. Shame on the GOP...

Ugh. As much as I dislike the members of the right wing, the ideals they used to represent are important. When it was religion, tradition, family, and financial cautiousness, that was wise. That right wing was supporting America's eagle.

This desperate right wing clinging to tradition even when it's clear those traditions are slowly becoming outdated is what causes this furious tailspin of just getting louder and louder hoping people will love them.

Anyone who's been two will tell you screaming all the time does not make people love you.

Susan Linehan's avatar

I would say not outdated but redefined. There's more than one religion, more than one kind of family, more than one kind of tradition--and financial cautiousness has to include recognizing when something is an investment rather than da "handout."

Ah, I see you still believe money has value. In a world with enough resources for all but the greediest 1% if we would all just share? That's an illusion used to control and divide and conquer, I fear.

An outdated concept for scarcer times.

Huh????

Expand full comment
Openly Fae's avatar

Ah, let me try a different approach.

Things used to be scarcer. As we near closer to a post-scarcity society where we have the technology to provide food, medicine, clothing, internet, transportation and all _necessities_ for everyone, only one thing holds us back;

The desire of people and companies with excesses of these things to profit off those exchanges.

Remove the need for profit and there is no reason we can't share.

Then we can only "invest" in people with time and effort. We could never squander either but by choice.

Money was for before we could harvest energy directly from the sun and wind and still relied on oil.

We can all just let it go, then the rich who have been tyrants lose all power over the poor. :)

right now, money is what I trade for milk and meds for my disabled daughter. As soon as someone offers to share those, I'll take them up on it.

Where did Fox News drag this cretin Maria Bartiromo from? She is feeding him his issues. It does not seem that Gym Jordan was going to talk about Hilary Clinton until she fed him the lines. She must just love feeding him lines, like the zoo keeper feeding the Dolphins some fish to get them to perform tricks. I notice that Ron DeSatan is being made a mockery of today too. https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2023/5/19/2170086/-DeSantis-campaign-in-turmoil-after-Disney-refuses-to-repair-candidate?detail=emaildkre&pm_source=DKRE&pm_mediu

He thinks he can take on a $202.12 Billion dollar company and just get away with it. Disney, a company that my mom responded, "Thank God for that!" to WLS music radio when they told her that since she did not listen to them she lost the chance to win a trip for 4 to Disney World. That was the attitude in my house. I went there later with a group of 7th graders that a foundation I was involved with paid for and we had a blast. So, I could see to each his own. Disney and Florida seem to have a symbiotic relationship. I guess DeStoopid did not understand this well enough. I wonder whether this is a warning to other businesses as well not to do business in Florida. With the NAACP telling "Blacks" to boycott, something I have been saying for at least 2 years to my brown-skinned nephews, "Stay away from Florida. We do not have enough money in our family to protect you from some trumped up charges against you in that state." The state is bad news. More businesses should think about leaving. If DeStupid goes after "illegal immigrants" he can kiss his hotel businesses, construction, hurricane clean up, agriculture and many, many other industries operating in Florida, "good bye!" I am sure that the employers paying slave wages won't be happy. Wonder whether there are any undocumented workers at Mar-a-Lago. So, when it comes to STOOPID, there is plenty of that to go around in the Republican Party. That is why they are so beloved by a certain crowd, the Schadenfreude crowd, who love to see that there are people who are dumber than they are, and can easily make big fools of themselves without recognizing it. They find that entertaining like Beevis and Butthead, or South Park.

The wealthy would just exploit others, but perhaps have to pay more. Will they be grateful to DeSatan for that. They will be dragging out those prison laborers to do the work. Also, there is a lot of slavery in the Florida agriculture business. Is DeSatan trying to get rid of all of the economic base of the state? That is not going to go off well in a presidential election when he runs saying, "Look what I did in Florida!" We all are looking and apparently are not so gullible as to find it charming.

So these three ex FBI guys were willing to go on live TV and show themselves to the world while being humiliated by the Ds asking questions about their status. That takes a special person to expose themselves that way. The money better be really good! And where are all the rest of the FBI people who supposedly came to Jordan with 'evidence' of weaponization? They have all crawled back into the woodwork it seems in preference to public humiliation.

I especially liked the part where Congresswoman Plaskett and Congressman Goldman exposed the Committee Chair with no jacket of not running the hearing according to the rules. So Gym Jordon knows these Ds are going to be all over him for how he runs this hearing and he openly defies rules and conduct and brings in fake witnesses time after time. Is this self humiliation thing like a feature in the Republican Party?
