“Writ of go fuck yourself!” yup…And whining about the Iowa polls…jesus christ, you jerk..you fucking won…shut the hell up and do something for the people of the United States of America…if you, in fact know where the hell that is!😡.

Lynn Van Haren's avatar

The only thing tRump & his corrupt cronies know how to do is line their own pockets. They don’t care a whit about the people

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

We’ve begun living within the confines of a mafia state Lynn, best get used to it, or get the hell away from it!!

Lynn Van Haren's avatar

Citizens United is tge ruling that allowed the criminal element into government. There is so much money sloshing around DC that the mob now wants in

Joan Eisenstodt's avatar

Lynn - each time I see what the spending is (and I contribute) I think how much good could be done w/ all the donations. Housing, education, food. This will have been my last election for donations. I can't afford it and I'd rather send to DonorsChoose.

Lynn Van Haren's avatar

I agree. I’ve contributed so much to election campaigns. It should not cost that much to become a Senator or President

Ācārya Malcolm Smith's avatar

"We’ve begun living within the confines of a mafia state...," no, we've returned to living in a Mafia state. US History is full of self-dealing presidents, corrupt officials, and a press that can be bought with a song. Don't kid yourself, the New Deal period that ended in 2000 was a bright spot in the otherwise blighted history of the United States. We are just sad that we lived through much of it and now it is returned to its bad old self. Trump is only third on the Sienna list: https://www.usnews.com/news/special-reports/the-worst-presidents/articles/ranking-americas-worst-presidents

Fastball Fredo's avatar

A international criminal syndicate masquerading as government.. That’s all I got, this is my gut feeling.

Lynn Van Haren's avatar

That’s what we’ve got. Just like Russia

longtimebirdwatcher's avatar

Alas, except for a few periods, you are correct. It's amazing we got as far as we did.

Lynn Van Haren's avatar

Roosevelt was the reason we got out of the Great Depression & developed a large middle class

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

And they viewed him as a "class-traitor" and have been trying to steal it back ever since.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

👆👆👆🎯They should look at the Smoot-Hawley tariffs, and the robber-baron era and the gilded age...

Lynn Van Haren's avatar

That’s what the Party of tRump wants to return us to- the 2nd Gilded Age

Stephen Brady's avatar

And I'd bet dimes to donuts, he is using OPM for these legal atrocities.

Kathleen Weber's avatar

Actually, Donnie Convict, please don't do anything for the people of America, because whatever you came up with would be awful. Just spend the next 4 years piling up ill-gotten gains and we'll actually be better off!

SPW's avatar

He can’t do anything FOR the people. He’s too fucking self absorbed to give a shit about “the people”. The only thing he can do and do well is screw them all over. Maybe one day, his maga morons will figure that out. I seriously doubt it but I still hold out hope for some of them.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

The miasma of MAGA morons have no idea of what life in a mafia state means to them, but they’re about to find out… just how fucking ignorant their derpish decisions on voting for a execrable crime family wastrel will affect them SPW!!

arne link's avatar

They will never, never abandon their god. It is an article of faith now, you take the suffering like the wounds on the body of Christ. We are doomed.

longtimebirdwatcher's avatar

You're way too optimistic. They won't figure out the "no food" result of the climate crisis either.

Joan Eisenstodt's avatar

Oh, Ellen, the "no food" and if any food, much higher prices because of the deportation of those who "make food happen" and pay taxes while getting very little benefit. It is so difficult to understand how unaware or unthinking so many are.

Clint Opine's avatar

I'm actually surprised that agriculture has proven as resilient as it has (so far). I'd have expected to feel the pinch of crop failures more acutely by now.

longtimebirdwatcher's avatar

Well, remember, fruits and vegetables are Californian and we have not seen the issues the southeast sees. The weather in the midwest has definitely been erratic, but not so consistently as to affect production as much as it will. Still people are complaining about prices. Give it 10 years.

Carthago Delenda Est's avatar

He's going to deport all the labor that picks said fruits and vegetables. The produce will rot in the fields and what actually makes it to market will cost the very earth.

The stuff that's grown in Mexico and South America will have high tariffs slapped on it and will also cost the earth.

If people thought the cost of groceries was high before, just wait.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Yes, that is what they voted for. Not lowering the cost of anything, too bad they are too stupid to know what they actually voted for.

Note that the original Tulare Lake's water was diverted and drained by people in order to grow crops. This is Mother Nature striking back to reclaim this former body of water.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Without serfs or immigrant laborers, in addition to tariffs they’ll soon find out Ellen!

Not really because we will be left with JD who is puppeteered by Musk and Thiel. They are the evil stepbros.

Peaceful Mary T.'s avatar

JD scares me more than the Orange Guy does because he's smarter. And younger (he'll live longer, probably).

Bonnie Council's avatar

Yep. They’re already talking about & looking forward to 8 years of Vance. Makes me want to vomit.

Marlene Lerner-Bigley (CA)'s avatar

Yes and we cannot listen to “them”. Stay away from mainstream media. They have sold us out by bending over backwards to Mein Führer!

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

They’re all being puppets of master puppeteer Putin Marlene!!

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Maybe he'll get "Luigied" for being so stupid/evil. We could tell the MAGAs he killed Tangeranus so he could take over. They'll do the rest.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Defenestration, polonium or a bucket of KFC are calling his name!!

arne link's avatar

Adam Electro's avatar

As Jeff would say..."shoot that right into my veins"

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

The orange fuckface is on a rampage that is going to spread like wildfire. His repulsive picks for cabinet are all tools to ruin and destroy anything that benefits the actual people of this country. It’s predictable that the morons won’t even notice that their rights and benefits have been trampled by these shitheads because they will be told a fantastical story about how the left did it. They will be told by the prostrate media that the anus faced president is doing everything to help them while he shits all over us.

Steve Kelly's avatar

Again, welcome to the Amerikkkan Dark Age.

Marycat2021's avatar

Trump has never done anything for anybody, so he sure as heck won't start now. Besides, he isn't going to be a giver, but a taker. That's why he ran again. First thing he'll take is our health insurance and social security.

Anne Whitney's avatar

I think Ann Selzer resigned/retired from polling after the election, probably anticipating this shit storm was going to come her way sooner or later, I guess we are at sooner. I hope they throw it out right away. Plus every protestation is an admission of guilt, so maybe DOJ could focus on Iowa and why her polling was so far off when it's historically been so accurate for the last 14 election cycles....that's the only reason trump even cares about a small town pollster result, because she's always been right.

Kay-El's avatar

1. Last time I checked no one is interfering with Donny’s right to be a veritable fuckwit. What a long strange trip this is going to be.

2. Huzzah for Judge Merchan. His pen is mightier than Orange Fuckwit’s barbs.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Love the “dead” reference Kay_EI!!

Kay-El's avatar

Lol, you saw what I did there, Patrick!

Suki Herr's avatar

If DesMoines Register&Ann Selzer start a Go Fund Me, I will contribute.

Julia Wasson's avatar

I will, too, but only if they use the money to fight this ridiculous set of lawsuits. In fact, if they do fight, I'll subscribe. But if they roll over and pay him, they can close the paper for all I care.

T L Mills's avatar

I'm with you--if the Des Moines Register continues to print the truth and doesn't bend for Braindead Donny, I'll subscribe to them, too.

Rick Calegari's avatar

Another bullshit lawsuit that demented anus lips should lose. Funny how Odd job II spews his nonsense about the Constitution when all his fuckface mob boss wants to do is continue to defy it and burn it up. Kudos to Judge Merchan for holding his ground and refusing to back down. Merchan is another one who might need a Go Fund Me for him and his family to get the hell out Dodge if he were to put dear leader where he belongs.

T L Mills's avatar

Thankfully, the Des Moines Register doesn't seem to be quite as prepared to bend over and pull up their shirt tails for Braindead Donny as ABC/Disney was.

Bonnie Council's avatar

I’m wondering who pays his legal fees when a trump president sues someone. Us?

Rick Calegari's avatar

Good question but it's not likely this grifting stiff artist.

Jennifer's avatar

Before I became enraged that that A-hole, who literally has the world kissing his ass right now, sued a pollster because his whiny man-baby feelings got hurt, I LOL soo hard at this

"what Donny wasn’t counting on was that Judge Merchan understands how calendars work"

Chris Ortolano's avatar

In other news the democratic party is busy fucking over the next generation of leaders! Nancy Pelosi is busy opposing AOC for the position of ranking member of the oversight committee. Because Nancy and Nancy alone knows what's best for us, and what's best for us is another old white guy.

Jodi Richard's avatar

I’m so fucking tired of “the only thing that works in American politics are old straight white guys.” Can we fucking move on already?

Teri's avatar

Same! Diversity Diversity Diversity, says this senior W F

Jane John Jones's avatar

Looks like we can’t. ‘Merikkka!

Linda McCaughey's avatar

Old straight white guys are the ones who got us in this quagmire.

Mary Sundberg's avatar

Yes, the country is crying for the youth. Maxwell Frost, David Hoag, etc. Nancy needs to retire now that she's recovering from her broken hip. I wish her well, but damn....step aside!!

Tess's avatar

Yes To Frost and David Hogg!!!!!

Linda McCaughey's avatar

Let's include seasoned veterans already there who have shown good sense and remarkable courage like Adam Schiff, Jamie Raskin, Zoe Lofgren....

P. J. Schuster's avatar

Yeah, but Schumer is an ineffective dishrag, he doesn’t need to lead the Senate. Senator Whitehouse would be much better.

Susan Jane's avatar

I admire David Hogg so much. He has so much heart, so much going for him. He is a terrific young star on the rise.

Linda McCaughey's avatar

Hope he gets a chance to be a part of the solution. Special person.

Teri's avatar

Tess, excited to see Maxwell Frost & David Hogg's futures.

Lisa59's avatar

Nancy and the rest of the aging out politicians need to retire and go home. Fucking narcissists. What politician isn't one. Maybe a few. But, that's a short fucking list.

Linda McCaughey's avatar

These career politicians are like Gollum. Power is their "Precious".

Teri's avatar

Yep, I 💖 Nancy Pelosi, but Good God, retire! Now she just had hip replacement surgery in Germany after an injury. That's a lot of rehab & recovery time. We need all hands on deck now!

So right, Abbi. The Progressive caucus should be leading the Dems.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Thanks for putting this out there Abbi!

Lucy Guerlac's avatar

Retire, Pelosi! How dare you oppose the next Nancy Pelosi.

D Kitterman's avatar

And Nancy needs to snap out of it with those ridiculous and dangerous 4" heels.

Linda McCaughey's avatar

Instruments of torture! Designed by a man, of course.

Denise Donaldson's avatar

Exactly, Linda. My mom always said that you could tell that women's shoes were designed by men who hated women.

Susan Jane's avatar

Did they play a role in her fall? She broke her hip! I probably would fall and break mine too if I teetered around in those things. She's tiny and fine-boned and with her frame and at her age, she was certainly at risk of breaking her hip. I'm younger than she is and I no longer wear heels like that. These boots are made for walking!

T L Mills's avatar

My feet, at 70 yrs, are still shaped like normal feet--which may not be true for women who have worn the sky-high heels for most of their professional life. Indeed, habitually wearing such high heel shortens the Achilles tendons until it is painful to to stand flat footed.

I was in retail for most of my working life and saw so many women standing on those tiled cement floors in 4 inch heels...and now when I see the bunioned, deformed feet of those same women, I am thankful I treasured comfort above fashion.

Linda McCaughey's avatar

My working life was all in retail, too--and there were "dress codes"--even for heel height! We were not allowed anything over 2"--so grateful for that. Wow. Good luck trying that shit now!

Alison Parker's avatar

Plus, the dude is 74 and has esophageal cancer. I don't say this with any sort of glee, but he has far fewer years ahead than behind.

Cathy 98280's avatar

Who has that awful cancer??? (Sorry - am out of the loop here.) (And my wonderful brother recently died from that disease.)

Karla's avatar

Gerry Connolly maybe? I just googled it.

Hannah's avatar

The 74 year old who won chairperson of the Oversight Committee. AOC lost.

Teri's avatar

🤬. Put AOC in charge!

Susan Linehan's avatar

Raskin has cancer too, at the moment apparently in remission. Pretty sure he's on the hit list.

Lisa59's avatar

I called my Senator Amy Klobuchar today. I told her the Democratic party lost its spine. You're going pick a 74 yr old man with cancer. This is why you lost the election. Quit protecting the old guard. They fucking drop dead on the House floor because they think we can't live without them?! We don't change as a nation. We evolve. Too many worry about their fucking careers and not the job they were elected to do. The fact that King Shitpants got elected, says more about our broken political system. Fix it!! You have the power. Use it!! Vote AOC! That's what I said. Probably fell on deaf ears.

P. J. Schuster's avatar

Good for you!! That’s exactly what we Democrats have to do, call our senators & representatives & tell them if they don’t push some of the elders aside & let the young firebrands blossom, they are going to keep losing; & we all pay the price!!

Gosh damn their egos

Lisa59's avatar

I'm completely disgusted. If feels like they have bailed on us. I was confronted in a gas station in Nebraska by a couple of bullies bitching about my Senators. They pointed to my Minnesota license plates. I defended them. Like an idiot. They wanted a fight. My husband (who just had hip surgery) was giving me the get in the fucking truck look. Never again. I'm done with all of it. One minute I'm mad. The next I want to cry. And the mother fucker hasn't set foot in the front door yet. And there playing the wait and see game. Maybe they can all hold hands.

P. J. Schuster's avatar

Omg 😳 that sounds really scary. I’m not for caving, but pick your battles, some of those asshats will shoot you.

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

It's so clear to me now why Roman Emperor Caligula rode his favorite horse Incitatus into the Senate to make him a consul, supposedly as a form of satire with the implication that a horse could perform a senator's duties.

shee-rah's avatar

A horse’s ass could perform the duties of a senator. Time for the old guard to retire to make way for a younger generation with a progressive perspective.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Nancy should simply go and take care of her hammer beaten hubby, leave politics in her rear view mirror Chris!!

T L Mills's avatar

Pelosi needs to retire. She was very good and very strong--she was a very good Speaker... but times change and Pelosi, Biden...all the old guard need to fold their tents and give it up to the next generation.

P. J. Schuster's avatar

That makes me so pissed off I could spit nails. 🤬 god damn it, AOC would be marvelous as the top person on that committee. I’m old & white, but I’m sick of the old guard running the show. They are so out of touch with their constituents.

Merrick Garland IS Biden’s lack of courage and his greatest failure.

Here’s the down low Teresa: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

P. J. Schuster's avatar

And imo, the president is an officer of the US.

Let's see how those Iowa farmers love you when the retaliatory tariffs strike. They sure have a short memory.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Right. Farmers got reamed during his first term. But I bet most of 'em voted for him again. The third time.

Lynn Van Haren's avatar

Well, tRump did subsidize those farmers with billions of taxpayer $$ when his tariffs on China failed the first time

Robert Eckert's avatar

Only the first year of the disaster. Since then the agricultural sector has continued to suffer the after-effects.

Farmers love him? In 2019, the agricultural sector had record high levels of debt and the most bankruptcies since 2011. Mostly small farmsteads.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Absolutely Anita, I drive past farms littered with Trump signage and banners… as Dan Quayle one said “ it’s a terrible thing to lose one’s mind”! The farmers I spoken with have very short memories, and little understanding of how subsidies have kept their sorry asses afloat for years, which is rather curious knowing how these stunodds hate social programs!

Teri's avatar

Annnddd the GOP's wealthy farmers gorge at the taxpayer's trough. Our GOP POS up Turd's arse Rep Doug LaMalfa of CA is a wealthy rice farmer in CA. Odd, he's had a seat on the AG Committee and one having to do with farmers, water. He flies his own airplane to and from DC.20 years ago, an LA talk radio station estimated this GOP crook voted himself $10 million plus in various subsidies. Now add 20 more years. His donors are millionaire farmers too. No one has been able to beat him for his seat.

The Merchan case was also election interference, let’s not forget that. If that news had come out immediately after the Access Hollywood tape, he might not have won in 2016.

At any other time in America's history, this ruling by Judge Merchan woulda been a given and no big thing since the obviousness of when donOld's 90 seconds with Stormy happened is plain.
