I just wanna know if Jay Dee uses Maybelline eyeliner. 🤔

"a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives".... Fuck this guy.

He should help the Biden Harris ticket in a BIG way.

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

Vance is repellent. he's not attracting any undecideds

Patris's avatar

I agree. Fuck him and the Ankle biters going after Biden too.

Patris's avatar

Thanks. Trying but failing to be nice about it.

David Selditz's avatar

P, ya know, when you've hit the end of righteous indignation sometimes, you just gotta say "what the fuck". As for the above brief comment, I'm for it.

Patris's avatar

Thank you - I’m trying not to turn every comment blue but they’re making it tougher every day.

Marian Goldsmith's avatar

Why bother being “ nice” to those folks?

Patris's avatar

Right. He and his performative fuckery extolling guns around the house can shove it.

Nancy Young's avatar

He looks like the only thing he could attract is lice.

bruce somers's avatar

Ted Cruz called,he wants his pubic hair beard back.

Susan Berger's avatar

He's a shaggy piece of 💩

Mary Hall's avatar

Wonkette calls him a pile of butthair.

Susan Niemann's avatar

Totally agree. WTH is Trump thinking????? But I'm glad.

arne link's avatar

I suspect the choice was based on money and JD had the best financial support. Trump is always about the money.

Sabine Nolke's avatar

And the looks. I'm sure he's convinced that Vance - eyeliner and all - has the steel-blue-eyed look that sells tickets (and votes). And the "brown" wife may buy some "ethnic cred" without getting in the way of running the show. /s

HI2thDoc's avatar

Usha is apparently in the Nimarata Haley mold: child of non-white immigarants but somehow arch conservative. Looking at you too, "Bobby" Jindal. They ignore that conservatives do not represent their interests in any way, ethnically, religiously, racially, or economically; if the conservatives had their way, people of color would not even be in the country. I'll never understand it. And then she marries an misogynist POS. Wow

Carol C's avatar

Somehow arch-conservative. The generation that immigrated would have been high-caste Indians. Well-educated as would have been the norm, likely from money. In this country, their struggles included having to live without servants. Conservatism is not surprising.

I student of mine loved visiting grandparents in India and riding on the pet elephant kept in the family compound. Grandpa was a judge.

shee-rah's avatar

If she’s the American-born child of immigrants, Donald Trump thinks she shouldn’t be a citizen. But then, he’s never read the 14th Amendment (or any other Articles or Amendments in the Constitution).

Let me sum up's avatar

I used to have some empathy for the 1st generation of a certain age whose parents thought they had to suppress every shred of their ethnicity in order to get ahead (e.g., kids whose parents forbid speaking Spanish at home). Then, I grew up and realized people have free will & if they have any critical thinking skills whatsoever, they'd throw that bullshit overboard.

Then I'm back to my old judge-y self.

PTW's avatar

Nick Fuentes--virulent racist and Trump's dinner partner with Ye at Mar-a-Lago---is already vocally none too happy about Mrs. Vance's skin tone.

My vote in the what-do-dems-do-wrong focuses on the mistaken idea that promoting policy and plans and intricate ideas will win elections.

Couldn't be more wrong.

Voters vote with their emotions first and foremost and then backfill with facts to support the emotional decision, as though the choice were logical.

Lisa K. Obrien's avatar

Thank you for calling out Latinx.

HulitC's avatar

And many Hispanics are not “people of color”, but as white as their European forebearers.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Peter Theil was the sugar-daddy that launched a guy with no political eperience into a senator seat. He's only been a senator for a couple of years.

PJ Schuster's avatar

Yeah, the only reason he won’t be included when these Evangelicals & Catholics start sending gays off to re-orientation camps or prison, is that he’s loaded with money.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Theil bought a compound and citizenship in New Zealand, he’s not stupid, he know what a toxic wasteland they will make out of our country, which being a bad immigrant (same as Musk who came here as an adult) he has no loyalty towards.

bruce somers's avatar

'Trump thinking'? , that's hysterical!!!

Steve Kelly's avatar

A true Oxymoron, Trump Think is....

Susan P Thatcher's avatar

Trump's not calling the shots

Eileen's avatar

Merrick Garland, follow the money! The shots are being called by people who have bought the judiciary. They bought SCOTUS so they could effectively execute another Bush Vs. Gore 2.0. WAKE THE F UP A.G. GARLAND???!!!

God, I hope that Jack Smith creams these guys with his response to Aileen Cannon dismissing the classified documents case. He should levy some additional heart-stopping indictments to broil the bastards. If the FBI can find shenanigans with Senator Menendez, than they can find the Leonard Leo > Thomas > Cannon conspiracy to obstruct justice no problem.

James Starr's avatar

dont hold your breath on anything on Merrick do-nothing Garland.

It frustrates me Biden allows him to be useless. It's like we dont even have an AG.....what a joke

I remember how wonderful our 82nd U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder, was duing the Obama admin. He took care of business and got shit done.

bruce somers's avatar

Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray have been completely useless.

Doc Blase''s avatar

Dishonorable mention to James "Her Emails" Comey, too.

bruce somers's avatar

Might as well be Vlad Putin for VP.

Mary Hall's avatar

Vlad is the Chairman of the Rethuglican party.

Mary Hall's avatar

Speaking of Shitler and shots -- WTF is his medical report and how come he didn't have a bandage the day after it happened while he was out playing golf, but he did the next day at the Rethuglican CONvention?

HI2thDoc's avatar

trump sees himself in Vance, a similarly unprincipled ass kisser of those placed above him. And trump loves his ass being kissed

bruce somers's avatar

Probably JD came to him, with tears streaming down his face...

bruce somers's avatar

Wasn't Lorena Bobbit a big proponent of 'no-fault divorce'??

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Yep, I read years after that incident, that he regularly used her as a punching bag.

PJ Schuster's avatar

The way Rethuglican men are talking about & treating women these days, there may be a few more Lorena’s pop up.

Teri's avatar

Oohhh, gummies have kicked in. I was like she's an insult to trailer trash, hands, brainless & a skank. Never heard her views *thank God* on divorce.

Kathleen Weber's avatar

Kathleen Weber's avatar

He's trying to play the role of an alpha male.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Yes, rather badly, I know doms, he is a bottom, looking for a "dom daddy" like Putin, same as the Orange-a-tan.

Kathleen Weber's avatar

You're right. He invited Stormy Daniels to spank him with a magazine. But he's got a lot of people fooled.

Teri's avatar

Few minutes I could stomach last night, the two "alphas" and & Jr were interesting. Packs on the back, handshake, looking each other over.

Kathleen Weber's avatar

I haven't watched a convention in years. Of either variety. Nothing but propaganda. But thanks for the report!

Rusalka's avatar

I sure hope he isn’t. But Jeff keep in mind that what Putin wants, Putin gets. Look around the world all his picks. He has octopus’s fingers everywhere. Take it from Alexander Litvinenko who lost his life to Polonium 210 in central London over a cup of tea for having exposed him for what he is and his plans for the West. Try to find the book he finished from his death bed in 2006 DEATH OF A DISSIDENT by Alex Goldfarb and Marina Litvinenko. Here you’ll find in detail Putin’s playbook and now Trump/Vance and the entire GOP’s. I was still living in London and following the story.

James Starr's avatar

I agree, but Putin , I assume , didnt get what he wanted in 2020

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

That's why he is doubling down this time. The press tried to scam us that he would win to supress voting. Same as they are doing now.

PJ Schuster's avatar

Thank you Rusalka, I went straight to Audible & bought it!!

bruce somers's avatar

Wonder what Byron Donalds and Tim Scott are thinking today,it's probably not 'damn!! We missed it BY THIS MUCH!!'

Eileen's avatar

Speaking of missed it by this much, you have to wonder how many ambitious Republicans were bummed that Donald survived. Who had the most to gain with Donald's assassination? Hmmm? Not the Dems. I think Jeff's connect the dots and the Alex Jones two-fer of getting a new slate of repubs while green lighting the MAGA to go hunting liberals in retaliation for a repub executed execution is very possible.

Teri's avatar

Who benefits indeed? Question 2: who benefits from a purposeful missed shot? Drumph is getting attention & sympathies. But he's an awful coward. Would any of us agree to have an AK shot at our head, get thru the terror to remember "time to turn your head"? For any reason?

HI2thDoc's avatar

I know what Donalds and Scott are NOT thinking: All that trump ass kissing was for naught

Doc Blase''s avatar

Niki Haley too, DeSantis, all of the prostraters, they are so much toilet paper to the malignant narcissist pathological liar.

PJ Schuster's avatar

Right, they misread him by a mile, JoyAnn Reid said it out loud on tv that they were debasing themselves for nothing. LDFF would never in a million years choose one of them for VP.

Linda Fairchild's avatar

That's a relief. Now let's see how many defectors they get...

P123Sunny's avatar

Interesting. No wonder RM hates the pick... (Negative charisma beats repellent every time) :/

DR Darke's avatar

I was going to say—does the Republican Party think their voter suppression efforts will be THAT successful?

bruce somers's avatar

I guess winning the cases sometimes isn't really the goal, it's to sow doubt,so they can just reinforce the same lies over and over again.

DR Darke's avatar

::sigh:: Never mind—they knew they didn't have to bother because they could count on the Clinton NeoLibs in the DNC and the Mainstream Media to do the work FOR them.

I spend the last three days prepping for a "procedure" and having it, go home and get my first decent sleep since then, and wake up to this shit!:

Curiously, survey says that the happiest people in the world are single, childless females. I'm happily married with grown children but if I became single, I would stay that way and get a fking cat. A female cat.

arne link's avatar

I'm recently widowed with no children. I miss my beloved husband but I'm satisfied with being and independent woman with a life of my own. No cat. Yet.

Mary Hall's avatar

I am very sorry you lost your spouse. I was widowed when I was 33. It's a club no one wants to join. Glad you are finding your way, with or without feline companionship.

Teri's avatar

Sympathies on your husband's passing. 💐

Donna Bonarrigo's avatar

I agree with you but I would skip the cat. I’m severely allergic. But I have Dachshunds. 🙂

Teri's avatar

I've been happily and intentionally unmarried with dogs my whole life!

PJ Schuster's avatar

I’ve been divorced about 5-6 yrs now, & I’m happy with just me & my 6 dogs.

James Starr's avatar

I have a female cat, she is great. We live together, just us. A good team.

bruce somers's avatar

My cat is named 'Ringo', I believe he thinks we should give peace a chance too, when he's finished licking himself, I'll check.

James Starr's avatar

LOL , totally relate....she licks herself all day long....wiping away all my love kisses from her fur.

Teri's avatar

🏆 😂🥳🥳🥳

bruce somers's avatar

My daughter votes Democrat also.

bruce somers's avatar

And I believe, they're definitely in Norway...

Lorraine Parish's avatar

totally agree and that's what I thought too, "What kind of eye liner does he use?"

bruce somers's avatar

Seems he's still pissed he didn't win 'RuPaul's Drag Race'

Saundra Parker's avatar

It looks to be brown, brown eyeliner is more subtle than dramatic black. In fact, the only subtle thing about DJT Vance is his eyeliner.

Saundra Parker's avatar

It looks brown, black eyeliner is more subtle - in fact it’s the only subtle about this organism.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

It's tattooed on, same as mine, it lasts for years, mine is over a decade.

David A Pitock's avatar

Zija Pulp's avatar

I thought the same thing. He’s going to be the gift that keeps on giving to the Dems.

bruce somers's avatar

I believe he's going to spend the next 2 months claiming he was 'misquoted by the woke MSM' and 'that was taken out of context'.

Zija Pulp's avatar

No doubt. Doesn’t have the guts to own what he said.

Teri's avatar

Good thing it's on tape. All these red states that turned their backs on fed $ for kids summer food programs. Food pantries overrun, parents struggling. Why refuse?! It's available NOW, but red govs I guess prefer giving finger to Biden, preferring hungry kids.

Victoria Wilson's avatar

Yes, he’s a real piece of work and he is my senator-ugh.He is so anti-woman that it scares me.He will be spearheading the way to a national abortion ban licketty split if he is veep.Another ugh!He needs to be shunned( I wrote this earlier on another Substack). He is very bad news for women and the future of democracy in this country.

Debbie Shapiro's avatar

I think he got the eyeliner tattoo to make bogus permanent. Like his name change to Vance, which means bedbug in Yiddish.

Carol C's avatar

JD was right to grow his beard. He was baby-faced without it. I wonder about eyeliner, too.

I think the part about accusing cat ladies of wishing misery on others is classic projection. JD doesn’t smile much, as far as I have seen.

Rhoda Ozen's avatar

Violence against women is a favorite of his. He’d not be so happy if, like my daughter, he found his daughter murdered and placed in the bathtub with her throat slit in a domestic violence incident.

This is how I found my 25 year old while her murderer slept in her bed.

He so sick that still may not change his teeny mind.

This triggers my PTSD so I don’t know why I think commenting will help but never does …

Mary Hall's avatar

totally agree, this will help the Biden/Harris ticket ! The information about this loser needs to spread like wildfire and it will be challenging since MSM will not do their job.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

I couldn’t have said it better. Vance oozes self hatred. (I read his book).

Teri's avatar

I had no idea he was the author of that book. I wouldn't have read it to begin with.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

The name was a turn-off and I believe Oprah boosted him to best-sellerdom. They never give her credit, though.

PJ Schuster's avatar

He may have self hatred or shame about his roots; but my bet is on he hates his Mom & he’s going to make all women pay for the mistakes he thinks she made.

ok folks, why is THIS piece making people cancel their subscriptions at three times the normal rate of attrition? I'm mystified. is there a full moon today?

Larry Yungk's avatar

Maybe it was because you went to easy on Jade D Vance? As an Ohioan, I apologize that this money-grubbing bootlicking amoral dirtbag was sent to the Senate by the Magazombies of our once kinda ok state. On top of it all, he is a big do nothing (except for himself), just like his felonious boss.

Sam Maruca's avatar

I still can't get over that Ohio picked this reptile over Tim Ryan. WTF????

Larry Yungk's avatar

I couldn't agree more. I grew up in Ohio but lived in the DC area for the last 40 years before moving back five years ago to take care of my parents. It's not the same place I grew up in. It has embraced bitterness, lawlessness, ignorance, and being backward. At least that's true for much of the white population.

Teri's avatar

Ohio is part of the Texas Florida insanity.

Linda Weide's avatar

Missing is that Donald Trump does not want a VP. He is a fascist and they like to keep the power all to themselves. I think the Heritage Foundation is happy, because with Vance they plan on keeping to the agenda they have laid out, and Trump might be a bit unreliable. However, I am happy because it makes the ticket that much more unpalatable, especially when people start finding out about and understanding Project 2025.

Doc Blase''s avatar

Easy? That was easy? Didn't seem 'easy' to me.

Donatella Dillon's avatar

Are you serious? Damn, if I wasn’t a subscriber already I would subscribe because of this.

And btw, never like now I’m happy I don’t have a family with children and grandchildren, because with the way things are shaping I would be worried about their life and freedom,so much so to have a heart attack, as is I’m so angry furious appalled that now it’s not just one black soulless person, but two🤬🤬I just can’t help wondering what kind of woman, educated at that, can be married to men like this

PJ Schuster's avatar

Well, ONE of them is educated; the other one just flat lied & had LDFF’s money buy her citizenship.

Lynn Stolp's avatar

Good question, Jeff. I'm sorry I don't have an answer. I would think this piece would have people, like me, sharing your post with others who need to see it. I'd hope you'd get more subscriptions. Your daily posts keep us all at least somewhat sane in this totally fucked up insane time. Thank you from one grateful citizen!

Kathleen Weber's avatar

Jeff, I am mystified too.

Don'tBlameTheDog's avatar

Maybe they are freaking out after learning more about Vance and redirecting their funds to Get Out the Vote organizations. 🤷

counterlife's avatar

I don't know, there's nothing about this piece that should trigger it. Perhaps it is people trying to avoid thinking about how bad things actually are and could well continue to be. A misguided attempt to avoid depression? I have not canceled any subscriptions (except for the NYT and WaPo, years ago), but I have been minimizing my time on a a couple of comment sections of the two sites I look at regularly (still read the articles) because of all the lecturing doomsayers who seem to have taken over the place are enjoying yelling at each other. So many people who are convinced that Dump and JayDee are winners and Joe and Kamala can't possible be, and getting nasty with people who think it is not over yet. I think the doomsayers, the MSM, and the cannibalistic democrats are, as usual, not paying attention to women. I will be very surprised if a rapist like Dump and an amazing political 'ho like JayDee see the inside of the White House. Keep on keeping on - some of the subscribers will be back.

Edit: I am not seeing the behavior of commenters described above on this site.

Doc Blase''s avatar

Dunno, amigo. I thought the tone, excoriation and supplemental evidence are all fine, and on-brand.

Sky 777's avatar

Not a clue why this is triggering cancelations, when it should be ramping up subscriptions. Maybe we are living in a crazy, upside down world. Or perhaps there are some closet James Donald lovers out there?

Relating to your spike in attrition: there are MAGATs out there who say “democrats need to be shot” (per my over-the-top MAGA friend in AZ; he lost his eyesight to AMD and is not internet savvy, but he accurately repeats the Faux News and far-right talking points with drama and scary anger).

IF that MAGA mantra is to be believed, beyond yard signs and bumper stickers, where do these nut cases find democrats? From voter rolls (are they even public?), or from various social media site postings?

IF any of the above “Conspiracy Theory, Twilight Zone” stuff has the remotest chance of being even partially true, and since your site is probably one of the most influential parsers of our current perilous political climate, then the people who think that this ‘democrat cleansing’ is a real thing might, just to be on the safe side, start deleting any online postings or traceable activity, starting with your site. Please say it isn’t so...

Dave Drell's avatar

this would assume Jeff hands out our email addresses ?

PJ Schuster's avatar

You’re correct Gaily, Before the 2020 election I was reading an article, don’t remember which publication, maybe WaPo or NYT, & I started reading the comments. Man, did it ever get dark & violent. One MAGA suggested getting the Democrat voter rolls with home addresses then going up to the house, knock on the door, & then when they open the door, blow them away.

Another one was talking about turning semi trucks over across the hwys in CA & starting some kind of shootout. The scary part is, all those SOBs are armed to the teeth, & I believe some of them absolutely would do shit like that.

According to the Daily Kos, JD Vance is Putin’s choice for Trump’s VP.

If Trump wins, Putin will control the White House.

Marlene Cohen Adair's avatar

It’s all in the kremlin plan, JD is just an action figure in the game. Trump falls out of a window and voila’ a forty year old despot for life.

Donna Bonarrigo's avatar

That has been my worry. Either that or JD files a 25th amendment against Trump and gets him out of there and takes over himself.

Marlene Cohen Adair's avatar

As likely; in fact there are several paths to fascist/autocratic takeover. If every woman just recognizes the misogyny inherent in all the rhetoric, women will prevail.

They know.

Dee Whitman's avatar

1. It isn't solely women's responsibility to fight for equal rights any more than it was the sole responsibility of Black people or LGBTQ+ people or any other marginalized group. In fact, most marg. groups are so small that they would *never* accomplish their goals if not for help from non-members who understand the need for equal rights / equal protection for all. So PLEASE let's stop putting this fight solely on the shoulders of women! Any man who loves, likes, or respects women, or is simply committed to the goal of equal rights / equal protection needs to be *just* as committed to this fight.

2. Sadly, some women *don't* know. They've been raised in ultra-patriarchal homes and brainwashed by ultra-patriarchal churches or other orgs. djt, sadly, has a lot of support among white women.

3. jdv is married! His wife isn't the only self-hating woman to marry a man who hates women.

When I was a teen, becoming pregnant meant you were "visiting with Aunt Mabel, and going to school there for a year". Having an abortion was Nuclear-level secrecy in the immed family. Or parents were told you were spending the weekend with a friend. Parents never told, even decades later. I bet with no contraception or abortion, no GOP funding for the extra children will be approved.

That pretty much says it all. There was a reason why the Kremlin cheered when the shit weasel won in 2016. Now 8 years later, Putin gets the team of Russian assets that he's been waiting a long time for. Will MSM bring this out in the open like they should? Just a wild guess that it will be not a fucking chance in hell.

Dee Whitman's avatar

"Will MSM bring this out in the open like they should? Just a wild guess that it will be not a fucking chance in hell."

With respect, comments like this don't help. The MSM is facts-based. It's not Fox. NBC / NYT / WaPo etc. aren't going to make assertions that aren't backed up by documentation.

Yes, lots of us are pissed off about the "Should Biden be replaced?" articles -- but they are FACTS-BASED! They are based on sources providing the NYT etc. with verifiable info.

*****PLEASE stop bashing the MSM.***** When you do that, you help the right; you help Putin. I've spend much of my career in newsrooms, and I know how reporters/editors operate, plus I know that virtually everyone who works in a newsroom does so bc they're an idealist or at least somewhat idealistic: they believe in fair play; they want the system to work for everyone.

bruce somers's avatar

MSM is 'fact-based'? Are you kidding?? Seems MSM is mostly opinions and polls...not facts at all. And aren't billionaire plutocrats controlling them too?

PTW's avatar

Maybe in some time past.

They don't deal in "facts" anymore. Everything is a slanted opinion, dressed up as a "news" story. They print/report what their corporate billionaire owners and boards want them to push.

I immediately sent an email to KXAN and reminded them that he voted against it and they didn’t bother to mention that rather important fact. All I got, as expected, was crickets. So don’t tell me to not complain about the MSM. Besides, it’s not The Handmaid’s Tale yet and I really see a lot of myself in June. Unfortunately, I’m almost 69 so I’ll be going to the mines where I will lose all my teeth and die a poisonous death.

Rick Calegari's avatar

We would like to believe that this is so.

CroneEver's avatar

And with Thiel's money behind him, JD can actually put in play the apparent wet dream of Bannon, Alex Jones, and others: "if anything happens" to Trump, put Michael Flynn on the ticket. Flynn is 1000% in on Project 2025 and White Christian Nationalism who is totally used to getting money from Putin. (He used to be a regular commenter on RT.) Vance / Flynn forever...

bruce somers's avatar

Democrats and President Biden have to prepare for when they lose big, what they're going to do, because they aren't going to crawl back under the rock they crawled out from, when they say they're going to fight,I believe we can take that literally.

James Starr's avatar

If Biden/Harris loses, I can pretty much bet there is no action plan. By then it will be too late. There will not be an immediated plan to challenge or fight back strong. If they lose from election fraud they will not be strong enough to take charge and investigate...They'll get kicked right to curb so quick by the project 25 insurrectionists. They will comply like well behaved, high-road Americans and allow the King to become dictator on Day one without a challenge. prove me wrong.

Im so sorry to be pessimistic but it frustrates me to no end that Biden does not dominate stronger. As a politician he is wonderful, and he gets things done as far as policies go and is a good man.

bruce somers's avatar

Gawd, I hope your wrong, it's definitely time to take the gloves off with these clowns.

bruce somers's avatar

He did for 4 years already...

Yes we could be. We have to vote for Biden in huge numbers to big for the SC to overturn.

Ingrid Robertshaw's avatar

I am long beyond my childbearing years. My deepest concern is the overt publication of Project 2025 and what is in store for every female in AMERICA. FOR EVERY PERSON OF COLOR ,AHEISTS( I AM ONE),IMMIGRANT( I AM ONE) ,LIBERAL DEMOCRAT( I AM ONE). AND SO ON!!...THIS THING SHOULD SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF ALL OF US. IT MUST BE STOPPED WITH OUR BLUE VOTES!!!

Dana Jae Labrecque's avatar

Now that Vance is the ticket VP, I have no doubt there will be a blue wave. But do you really think that is going to stop these people?

Marlene Lerner-Bigley (CA)'s avatar

Stop them? No! They are already forming their attacks on voter fraud again if Biden wins. The individual shithole states will not admit he won the race. Just another shit show from the fascist party.

bruce somers's avatar

Nailed it Marlene!! They're already trying to purge voter rolls and challenge election rules and results before a vote has even been cast!!

Dana Jae Labrecque's avatar

Exactly. November will not be the end of any of this. It will be the beginning of something horrible and different. I am not looking forward to America’s future. However, I refuse to let it bring me down. I’m living every day as if it were my last. Go out and enjoy this beautiful world while we have it.

Teri's avatar

I console myself over the upcoming SH!!show post election; BIDEN IS POTUS WHILE their fuckery drags thru the courts. Set up your perimeter Pres. Biden. You know they'll be in the courts. YOU WILL BE AT THE RESOLUTE DESK IN THE OVAL OFFICE!

Zija Pulp's avatar

Earth to JD: I can promise you that staying in a violent marriage does not help or “save” kids. Quite the opposite. It just promulgates more fear, more anger, more violence. But see, as JD would never be the one beaten up day after day after day, he might not be seeing the whole picture.

The end of marriage came about not by the sexual revolution but because men like JD, who refuse to see and treat women as equals, continued on their merry way and women said Enough. I’m done with this shit. And as much as these extremist GOP think they can stuff women back in that 1950s box, they won’t be able to. We won’t let them.

Deb's avatar

The mental trauma to survivors and their children is appalling! The secrecy of said abuser’s past behavior allows the violence to continue as the he hunts his next victims down. It’s a game that no one wins.

bruce somers's avatar

Violence in the home actually effects children's development,it normalizes violence, and will more likely make children violent as adults,a vicious cycle of abuse.

Deb's avatar

Agreed. Very difficult to mend someone who has been obliterated by violence

Zija Pulp's avatar

Not so, according to JayDee! As if he were ever in this position.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

He had a couple of stepfathers, so he was probably abused, and wants to be the abuser this time.

Lisa K. Obrien's avatar

I read ‘Hillbilly Elegy’, but I can’t remember if Vance ever watched his dad beat up his mom and siblings. I did, and thank you to no-fault divorce, our mom was able to get away from our dad. Our family wasn’t the ideal situation the GOP is trying to sell.

Dave Drell's avatar

Vance is a Neanderthal- no doubt

White christofacist moron who wants to set the clock back to 1924! Any female voting for Drumpf/ Vance is without any self-respect at all.

JOE P's avatar

Look at ‘em lining up…smh

Check out pic from The New Yorker about the ‘women of the GOP’

PJ Schuster's avatar

Vickie, JD knows that, he was raised with a mother who emotionally & occasionally abused him. His grandfather abused his grandmother & she set him on fire. He knows & I believe he subconsciously blames those women in his life.

PJ Schuster's avatar

Occasionally *physically* abused

Linda Fulcher's avatar

As a proud childless cat lady I intend to work my ass off to keep these woman-hating fascists out of power. Vance is a giant grotesque monster and possibly even worse than Trump, if that's possible.

Rick Calegari's avatar

He's smarter which makes him even more dangerous but equally as repulsive.

bruce somers's avatar

'Smarter' just means he's even more corrupt.

Teri's avatar

Yep! I finally ordered postcards for various Dems. This I can do,!

Cassandra Here's avatar

The delay until the convention to announce J.D. Vance was convenient: Trump was auctioning off the second spot on the ticket. Thiel won. I wonder how much he paid.

bruce somers's avatar

Musk jumped on board a few days ago also.

Cassandra Here's avatar

Yep, $45M per month to a super pack.

JOE P's avatar

Plenty but there’s perks !

What a ticket. Two gaping assholes for the same low low price.

What a Bargain! 😂😂😂

"you really have to wonder what JD’s Yale-educated corporate-lawyer wife thinks about all this" she DGAF because the leopards will never eat HER face.

She is a woman, born of immigrants and she is brown. That makes her a triple threat to the Nazis. She should be worried.

Daniel Hansson's avatar

Do not confuse anyones skin colour or origins with their political and moral affiliation. Look at the previous government in the UK. Rishi Sunak and Stella Braverman were horrible people just wanting to enrich themselves.

Dana Jae Labrecque's avatar

Exactly. Looking at you, Clarence Thomas,

MzNicky in East Jesus, TN's avatar

Tell it to Nick Fuentes and other members of the supremely racist MAGA subset. They’re rather unhappy about Mrs. JD Vance’s skin color. Fissures are appearing, and I for one say we should exploit the hell out of them.

bruce somers's avatar

And Bryon Donalds and Tim Scott.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Texas Paul points out she is an "anchor baby." POS white supremacist Nick Fuentes is not happy about her kids with Vance having "Indian names."

bruce somers's avatar

Pretty sure Nick Fuentes a Russian Twitter-bot concoction mostly.

HI2thDoc's avatar

He behaves like one. Texas Paul showed a vid of him talking about Vance and POS Nick looks like and gives off the incel vibe

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Nick is a confirmed virgin, he says having sex with women is 'gay' he seems to have a few volcabulary issues.

PJ Schuster's avatar

He is one weird cookie, for sure.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Us "libtards" believe in live and let live. He's an example of a maladjusted weirdo that turns his inability to get along and tolerate others into hatred. Which we sure as hell don't need more of. Folks like him need help but won't get it, instead preferring to inflict their poison on everyone else.

MzNicky in East Jesus, TN's avatar

I know I can’t be the only one who, when reading that JD Vance has a son named Vivek, automatically thought of Ethel Mertz.

MzNicky in East Jesus, TN's avatar

I wondered if anyone would get it! 😄

PJ Schuster's avatar

I didn’t at all. I must have missed that episode?

HI2thDoc's avatar

Let's see how many more

Strange. Unless they figure she actually WOULD broaden the vote? Idk

(This is where it’s dangerous to give ppl credit for playing 5D Chess - when they might just be throwing 💩 at a wall) :/

what does dgaf stand for

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

She actually was a democratic party voter up until he won. he was the first "R" she voted for.

Kay-El's avatar

JD Bowman/Vance is a misogynist’s wet dream. However, Trump won’t like it if Vance outshines him in the evil ideology department. This pick was a bad idea courtesy of Trump’s idiot sons. Thanks boys!

bruce somers's avatar

Heavily armed, angry, drunk, MAGA women=and no fault divorce, careful what you wish for...

P123Sunny's avatar

Opportunity to create some creative chaos there… if rump gets worried

Kay-El's avatar

Exactly! This may be a blessing in disguise. Hayley might have brought her supporters along. Burgum is a non-entity. Rubio, possibly the Hispanic vote. I have to think women are less likely to vote for being a fetus factory.

Eileen's avatar

The JD Vance pick is awesome IF Dems win. JD has zero experience in public office. Thiel bought his Senate win. JD's hillbilly cred is really the world he wanted to ditch for Yale - apparently enabled by his union member relative. He is now an elite, ultra sleezy, creepy Christian and a dishonest broker. When looking at Donald's age and poor health, people in the middle should be turned off. The POTUS would be one hamburger heart attack away from someone who has zero governing experience and a head full of Alt Right insanity.

With Rubio as VP, Trump could have bought YEARS of governing experience from one of our largest states. Name recognition. Latino vote. Steadier hand and veneer of respectability. Not sure why he passed on that. Rubio would have pulled an S-ton of votes from Biden, IMO.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

As a Floridian, I feel compelled to point out he did not even take Florida in the 2016 primary. We generally hate him, but he has the conservative Cuban emigree vote locked up. He has missed the most votes, of any senator, and publically said he hates his job. He is bought and paid for by "Big Sugar" and they want to keep him here.

JOE P's avatar

Hayley?! The full throated trump supporter??

Kay-El's avatar

Yep, she’s a piece of work

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

The sane ones wont, for sure, but fox won't mention that, so many on the 'r' side won't know.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Huh. Since when does trump listen to those two? I guess we should be happy that he did.

Susan P Thatcher's avatar

Yale called. They want their diploma back.

Kathleen Weber's avatar

Trump has found his Mini Me.

JD Vance hating women seems appropriate since I imagine most women would sooner fuck a cactus dipped in capsaicin than him.

bruce somers's avatar

If pubic hair was a real boy.

Fuck I’m still laughing! 🤣

Dave Drell's avatar

Wow- cactus/ capsaicin /fk

Alison is point on! 💋

Lorraine Parish's avatar

Hey everybody, want to hear some more REALLY sick news?

Just heard from my Texas friend who lives in Mexico around the corner from me,

are you ready for this? The state of fucking Texas is allowing BULLET VENDING MACHINES

to be erected all over the state. There's already a few now.

For me THIS is the tipping point, from going insane to BEING insane.

WTAF?

Dana Jae Labrecque's avatar

Here we are at the end. I’ve got Jim Morrison bellowing in my head.

Susan Niemann's avatar

Also in Alabama. Its vile.

Lorraine Parish's avatar

really? omg when i think of what's the next insane thing these pigs will do, well i just can't come up with anything and i am glad of it.

Chet Brandt's avatar

People in Texas might not have electricity in the unbearable heat but they sure as hell have bullets…great. Oh, but those vending machines might not work without electricity.

Daniel Hansson's avatar

I actually thought they just handed them out for free. But sure the Duke Nukem variety does not surprise me.

Dave Drell's avatar

Texas is incredibly stoooopid.

Let’s have 14 yo’s buy bullets???

I won’t go near that state

Are they not open-carry also?

Susan P Thatcher's avatar

The Silicon Valley oligarchs have come out of the woodwork. He’s their boy. I suspect the recent trip of Orbán to Mar a Lardo was to tell Stinky that Vance was his pick. Putin’s mini-me, Paprika Putin, is an errand boy, and his Danube Foundation has been working with (and I suspect funding) Heritage. Just remember, their wives and daughters and mistresses will still be able to avail themselves of abortion care. No more no fault divorce? That’s not going to go down well. Funny how men blame the independence of women on destabilizing marriage, but never themselves for being unreliable providers (I have an ancestor who would drink most of his paycheck. And rape his wife in front of his kids. 8 of them), disrespectful partners, not sharing in the duties and responsibilities of marriage and family, and unfaithful. Nope. Gotta be women working outside the home.

Dee Whitman's avatar

I read something on The Cut yesterday about a South Korean pol blaming women for suicides / suicide attempts by men. That led me to a 2023 article, on The Cut, about the 4B movement in South Korea (A World Without Men, I think it was called). Same basic points: Men refuse to see that women no longer want to put up with their abuse and hatred -- and fortunately, are mostly able *not* to bc now we can support ourselves.

jdv wants to take all of that away. No divorce, no birth control, no abortion. He is fkkking insane, seething with hatred, and very, very dangerous.

Susan P Thatcher's avatar

They don't want to have to bring anything to the table. Entitlement: "I am a white male, therefore I can have any woman I want." They harp on "submission." Women must be submissive to them , according to the God they created. (Funny how his will matches up so neatly to their own). We found out in WW II that we could so more than keep house and be j!zz catchers. We found out we don't need them, and reproductive freedom has been the last straw.

Teri's avatar

What I don't get is, if you ban contraception, women who don't want a baby to say "no! Or LOL guy wears a condom. We saw how they f'king freaked over masks. Guys aren't crazy about condoms. So within 2-3 years, we are going to have alll kinds of poverty level mothers? How are DH's gonna pay for all the new kids?

Dave Drell's avatar

J*zz catchers— good one

& well said. As a male I wholly agree.

Lisa K. Obrien's avatar

Nailed it, Susan. They want to continue to not be held accountable.
