It’s always been easy to get fooled. I’ve done it, too. Anytime I see an unsourced quote like this, I ask for a citation. If I get one, that’s swell, I check it out from there. If the quote poster gets huffy and/or doesn’t provide one, I unfollow. In our haste for confirmation bias, we tend to automatically repost something we think COULD be true, whether it is or not. That’s part of the reason we’re where we are now.
