I never would have thought that Harvard would think anything more important than money. relieved and pleased that one of our higher institutions of learning actually gets it that some things are far more important than $$.
This is only the beginning of Trumps assault on universities. Harvard may still fall to the fascist government of Trumpistan. He will not stop until he has control over everything.
By threatening universities and research centers with pulling federal funding, Trump's goon squad is at the "coming for the intellectuals" phase. I read yesterday that DHS is developing a database of social media influencers, podcasters, etc. and their leanings. This will have an impact on info/opinion subscribers everywhere as fear grows. Courage is a choice, not an innate reflex.
I know. I'm just feeling snarky this morning because I found out that my townhouse needs some of the joists in the crawl space replaced and it's going to cost a shitload of money. Fortunately, it's a housing cooperative, so it won't all fall on me.
TheyтАЩve got excellent lawyers ЁЯШЙ. Bc IтАЩm sure The Don will be pissed and push it all the way to the Supreme Court. IтАЩll stick with you Jeff. You do an excellent job ЁЯСН

The vast majority of the endowments are tied up in specifics about how they can be used, so this will indeed hurt. And by extension as has been said, the cuts to medical research will kill people.
If I had the kind of money Harvard has in its endowment fund, I could probably tell Trump to fuck off too.
I know, but Harvard still stands to lose billions in government grants. that took courage

Absolutely agree; that's why it is up to us to stop him.
I hope they stick to their guns.

ЁЯЗиЁЯЗж weтАЩd gladly sell you some nice lumber for that project, but someone wants to collect extras taxes on it along the wayтАж
No worries. Elaine can just go to the White House.
Plenty of lumber in TrumPinochet's head. . .
TrumPinochet works, but did you mean TrumPinocchio?
Was Trump ever a real boy?
Condolences.
I hate having to pay for stuff like that.
LetтАЩs see how long they hold out. IтАЩve become a cynic lately and I think itтАЩs with good reason.

True, but props to Harvard for not complying with the current regime!! As a private college why would they comply?
BTW, humor is the only true journalism.
Still appreciate them doing it!! So many canтАЩt or wonтАЩt.

It's about $53B
$53B can buy a lot of fuck offs
Wouldn't that be nice? We could afford revenge, even.

That was my thought, too, Elaine. Still, the government grants ain't peanuts, so good on The Crimson.
