I understand how it (supposedly) works. As a kid in DC, I saw that my parents weren't permitted to vote in presidential elections, but the 23rd Amendment fixed that. Later, I realized that 3 EC votes was bullshit compared to the flip side (2 senators and a representative, all of whom would be Black).

BUT, with state legislatures being responsible for passing the most draconian anti-abortion laws, I'm hoping for a massive flip in state legislatures--massive enough to get us that 2/3rds majority to get DC's representation AND election by popular vote.
