Besides their inability to fight fire with fire the Democrats are poor at showing their agenda to the average American to fight the false narrative of Fox. They are also the first ones to "do the right thing" like resign from office over dopey pictures from 25 years ago (Senator Franken). Meanwhile the serial liars and racists and pedophiles across the aisle keep getting more press and campaign dollars.
Democrats have needed to grow a pair and take the Republicans to the proverbial woodshed for a LONG FUCKING TIME. They're destroying this country. People are suffering/dying behind their bullshit. Call them out on their ridiculous "pro-life" stance. They're no "pro-life"--not by a long shot. They're anti-women/anti-children. It could not be more clear. Call them out on what their infatuation with firearms is doing to people all over the country. MAKE THEM LOOK AT THE CARNAGE THEY'VE CREATED. We've got all the information we need to call them out on their massive goddamn lies and their rank hypocrisy. Jesus, I'm so sick and tired of us playing softball with them.
The reason Republicans violate every rule and break every norm is because they know that Democrats in government will not allow democracy to crumble and, as a result, Democrats won't do the same things back. Because if both parties ignore rules and norms across the board, democracy is done. But the "all or nothing" approach that Democrats take is wrong. Only some rules and norms are integral to democracy. Blue slips are not. They in fact may be antithetical. That process easily can be ended. And where Republicans break *the law*, they should be prosecuted, without concern that, if "we" prosecute "them", they'll just do the same thing to us. "They" are gonna do it anyway. They don't care what Democrats do.
Democrats have too many oldtimers running the show, who have too much respect for the institutions to blow any of them up by virtue of having been in Congress for so long.

With every SC fucked-up ruling, all we get in response is “go out and vote”. Kamala Harris, after Dobbs fell -“go out and vote”. What the hell does voting in a senate majority do when we have legislators like Feinstein refusing to resign and Durbin refusing to stand up? What’s the point of voting in more and more Democrats when neither Biden nor the Senate Dems will support doing ANYTHING about the theocracy we have on the Supreme Court? I feel like we’re in this war and we have most of the Democrats acting like Neville Chamberlain. Look at Jaimie Harrison - not a single statement ever calling out the fascists.
