If you go to the Legacy Museum in Montgomery, Ala, you will get an eye-opening lesson in how earlier Supreme Courts helped put supported slavery and later put down ex-slaves and how brutally we acted to keep them down. As I've already said about John Roberts, he's hoping that if lets his MAGAt members boil that frog a little bit at a time they'll be happy, which seems to be his guiding philosophy. That's why he sometimes rules alongside the "Liberal" wing, because he can see the trainwreck that'll happen if the SC's too blatantly Right Wing partisan—because while he's a coward, he's not an idiot.

Unfortunately, Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, and Kavanagh are both stupid and greedy, and are exposing just how corrupt the Supreme Court truly is.

A 65 yo friend is in a ‘chair due to a drunk t-boning the car in which my friend was a passenger when he was 23. Went to the store one day—never walked again. He’s one of the good guys. Compassionate with a gentle, loving heart. When asked why he didn’t become angry and bitter as a lifestyle, he answered: I was very angry and bitter for a while, until I realized this was not a good way to live … and it was going to be up to me to reframe what happened. It was a choice. Those who remain angry and bitter never chose a better path … they’re getting some kind of payoff from being mean”.

I realize that not everyone in a chair can have the same heart as my friend, but it never ceases to amaze me that someone who had such tragedy in their life cannot see others’ suffering, cannot distinguish mean vs kind.
