this week in stupid: June 2 edition
Trump bucks suck, Chick-fil-A goes gay, and so much more ....
as another stupid week comes to a close here in America, let’s look back at some of the highlights.
sunday: a Trump supporter and their money are soon parted
to paraphrase Mark Twain, “suppose you were a Trump supporter. and suppose you were an idiot. but I repeat myself.”
enter Trump Bucks.
they sold for $99 and they are worth $0.
but that’s not what the sellers told the hapless souls who bought them. the scammers assured their marks that Trump Bucks were worth real money, could be used as legal tender, and would only increase in value once Trump was rightfully returned to the presidency.
but nobody would fall for such obvious bullshit, would they?
Some of the people who bought the Trump memorabilia have attempted to exchange it for real US dollars at banks, and told NBC News that bank employees are reporting it as a growing issue.
sigh.
monday: happy memorial day to the family of raccoons that live inside of Donald Trump’s head
ah, memorial day. to some, it’s a day for quiet reflection and rembrance of those who gave their lives defending their country. for others, it’s a day off to spend time with their families.
and then there are the raving lunatics among us who choose to commemorate the day in their own special way.
you do you, Cadet Bone Spurs.
tuesday: Chick-fil-aaaawhat?
it must be fucking exhausting to be a conservative. every day you have to wake up and find some new outrage to be lose your mind over. and now that Pride Month is here, stand back and stand by for wingnut heads exploding as one corporation after another rides the Pride bandwagon.
but cetainly not conservative stalwart Chick-fil-A, right? they’re not going to kowtow to the gay agenda, are they? I mean, nobody hates the gays like Chick-fil-A, right? all that money donated in opposition to same-sex marriage has count for something, doesn’t it?
guys, I don’t how to break this to you, but:
oh dear. oh dear.
et tu, Chick-fil-A?
and of course, our nation’s dipshits reacted to the news in a calm and reasoned manner.
oh my. that’s quite the slippery slope. remember the good old days, when the worst thing about same-sex marriage was Rick Santorum marrying his dog?
ah, such innocent times.
wednesday: foot of spork, brain of fluff
you could open a browser tab on any political website, close your eyes and point at random, and chances are good that you’d land on Marjorie Taylor Greene saying something stupid.
so let’s do just that. hmmmmm …… hmmm …. hmmm … point! ok, what did we land on?
United States Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) says rioters were forced to "commit crimes" during the Jan. 6 insurrection.
what the what? what do you mean, Marge? can you elaborate?
“You see this should never happen. The federal government should never be weaponized against the people and set up honeypots and traps to draw people in and take part in making these people commit crimes, and then framing the people to set up a narrative against a president? It's wrong. And I believe that's what happened on January 6.”
the voices in Three Toes’ head must be singing in perfect four-part harmony today. in Russian.
thursday: Chuck Grassley says the quiet part out loud
to say that 137-year-old Chuck Grassley’s most-lucid days are behind him would an entry in the understatement hall of fame.
on Thursday, the 145-year-old senator made an appearance on Fox News to whine about the terrible deeds of the Biden Crime Family and ended up out wandering in the weeds and saying the quiet part out loud:
“… and we aren’t interested in whether or not the accusations against Vice President Biden are accurate or not …”
tell us something we don’t already know, Chuckers.
friday: ?
hey, it’s still morning as I sit here writing this. but give it time, I guarantee you that some dipshit wingnut is going to do something stupid before the day is over. you can set your watch to it.
have a non-stupid weekend, everyone.
JT, with so many making noise about Dianne Feinstein, I have to ask who the hell elected this old relic Grassley? Andrew Jackson?
Perhaps the piece I wrote about Government Reform is not such a bad idea after all:

BTW, JT: thank you for being a voice of reason for those of us who have not yet gone mad.
I have to admit I hadn’t heard of Madame Three-Toes decrying “honeypots”. Oy, gevalt.
