The media salivation festival over the "Biden wants to get a little more sleep" thing is so fucking absurd. I'm about half his age and I need more damn sleep, too. WE ALL SHOULD BE GETTING MORE SLEEP. But they're acting like he's planning to start turning in at 4 in the afternoon.

Does MSM actually think that they will have free rein like the last time? That they'll be able to sit around and then critique and ring their hands about what horrible fuckery he's done now?

It will be too late for them...as well as the rest of the country. He'll probably order Seal Team 6 to go and shoot them while they're on the air, just to give everyone else a lesson.

The Reichstag fire was an arson attack on the Reichstag building, home of the German parliament in Berlin, on Monday, 27 February 1933, precisely four weeks after Adolf Hitler was sworn in as Chancellor of Germany. Marinus van der Lubbe, a Dutch council communist, was the alleged culprit; however, Hitler attributed the fire to Communist agitators. He used it as a pretext to claim that Communists were plotting against the German government, and induced President Paul von Hindenburg to issue the Reichstag Fire Decree suspending civil liberties, and pursue a "ruthless confrontation" with the Communists. This made the fire pivotal in the establishment of Nazi Germany.

Exactly! And by the way, it’s still up to the voters to accept responsibility for keeping what’s left of our democratic republic; not anyone else. So to those who want to cast blame elsewhere, that is a useless and wasteful pastime. We all know this President’s record of achievements. "The public figures calling loudest for Joe to step down are Never Trump Republicans, the Pod Save America douche-bros, obscure Democratic Congressmen, the founder of Netflix (which didn’t stream the Kavanaugh documentary), and the editorial boards of various newspapers, including the disgraced New York Times—which yesterday, on the fucking Fourth of July, ran a column by a radical Catholic weirdo calling for people to not vote."

I'm sure I'll be crucified given the tenor of these comments, but Tim Miller and many of the never Trumpers left their own party because they couldn't stand their 2016 candidate and are invested in making sure Trump never sees the Oval again. I know SO many people who were completely turned off by the debate and they had also seen and acknowledged his rapid aging before that (I live in a blue state and none of them are MAGAts or anything close). A big joke (that I hate btw) around my office is The Biden Shuffle. We can see it with our own eyes, we don't need the New York Times to tell us about it. Sure, maybe the debate was "a bad night" (talk about an understatement), but we're talking about another 4 years, not making it to the end of this term. He's aged like 20 years since 1/20/21. People are concerned about him making it to 2029, that's totally reasonable. All liberals/progressives, me included, I'm sure will vote dem no matter who it is. But all we need are a few thousand undecideds, independents, centrist dems and soft GOPers in a handful of states to switch to Trump or anti-vax Bobby or stay home and our democracy will pretty much be over. I enjoy my bodily autonomy thank you very much. We can disagree who the best person is to do that, but you all are just knee-jerk defending him and attacking anyone else who thinks an alternative is the only chance we have. Kamala definitely, but with a VP centrist like Josh Shapiro or Andy Beshear maybe. Don't forget, Biden promised before the 2020 election that he would be a 1-term president, he should have kept that promise and let someone else younger emerge from the primaries a year ago instead of his ego putting us in the position we're in now, at each other's throats.

After 4 years of a trump presidency, 73M still voted for him again. And we've watched Joe fumble and stumble since 2021, although it's definitely gotten worse. It's different now. I think it's his ego too, not only that he truly believes he can beat trump when no one else can. And Jill isn't doing him any favors. She had to help him off the debate stage. If she cared for our country she'd talk him into passing the torch to Kamala.

If they had been consulting with this think tank they would have never agreed to a debate with a sociopathic pathological liar.
