oh hey, I deleted that comment I made about losing a subscriber. I don't want anyone to think I'm soliciting pity or trying to drum up business. I just thought it was an interesting fact.
I worked for his dad back in 1968. Wished him good luck in California on Saturday, June 1st. Seeing his son turn out like this is painful and tragic. It hurts my heart to see it.
I don't support this tool and I'm sure everyone in his family- from his grandfather to his uncles are rolling over in their graves with the stupidity of this wannabe. He's a perfect example of, "I'll try this, my name will carry me." What an incredible horses' a$$.
The only people that I’ve seen who are RFK Jr. fans are the MAGAts on Twitter.
Democrats can see exactly what he is, so I don’t think that he’s any kind of threat to President Biden even if he runs as a third party. Also, Russian asset, Jill Stein is coaching RFK Jr.. what more do people need to know?
Massachusetts it's time to wake the fuck up and stop voting on the name. This nut bucket is so out there that I feel like I want to take a shower just cuz I enjoyed his wife on Curb Your Enthusiasm.
P.S. If you ever meet either of those married crackpots make sure you're wearing an N95 mask.
In light of the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, which I strongly urge you to investigate, it is possible that Kennedy is at this present time a useful tool as a chaos agent in service to the agenda and goals of the Project 2025 participants.
“It is not enough for conservatives to win elections. If we are going to rescue the country from the grip of the radical Left, we need both a governing agenda and the right people in place, ready to carry this agenda out on day one of the next conservative administration.
This is the goal of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project. The project will build on four pillars that will, collectively, pave the way for an effective conservative administration: a policy agenda, personnel, training, and a 180-day playbook.
The project is the effort of a broad coalition of conservative organizations that have come together to ensure a successful administration begins in January 2025. With the right conservative policy recommendations and properly vetted and trained personnel to implement them, we will take back our government.”
If you will take a moment to look at the Project 2025 Advisory Board which is "A broad coalition of more than 65 conservative organizations [that] has come together to form the project pillars."
You will see just how extensive this movement is, especially in light of the fact that the advisory board in view had only 45 members as recently as January of 2023 and now boasts 65 organizations as of today.
So I imagine some of the more wealthy backers of Project 2025, many of whom I have no doubt, are in some way or another closely or directly connected to any one of the 65 advisory organizations.
This Conservative movement is unquestionably the most serious threat to our liberal democracy currently on the horizon and building significant momentum. They must be vigorously and decisively resisted, derailed and defeated lest they achieve their objective.
I happen to agree fully. He's not a tool so much as a useful idiot for the GQP. I also agree he'll fall off by the time of the first primaries. Folks forget that each state has a different set of criteria in order to get on the ballot for even the primaries, let alone the general.
And the other thing to remember is the GQP House is at each other's throats, and that makes it hard for the moderates (such as they are) to get reelected and it's been shown the fascist party has no chance of winning a general election, unless they're in a very safe (read heavily gerrymandered) district.
RFK, Jr isn't going to draw any votes away from the down ballot folks, and I doubt he'll draw enough votes away from Biden for tRump (let's face it, he's going to be the nominee even if he's in jail) in the general election. There's just too few people willing to vote for tRump again.
And folks, please ignore the screaming media about the size of tRump's idiot rallies. His last one in Pickens, SC, the local town marshall estimated the crowd at "50,000", however the entirety of voters in Pickens County would have had to show up for that number to be even vaguely realistic. And don't forget he has "groupies" that follow him around from rally to rally and they're not a mere few. Finally, never forget that there are any number of people who show up out of curiosity, or merely to see him in person, or to say they were there. Doesn't mean they're going to vote for him.
Something I have believed for years is that we should never underestimate the stupidity, gullibility and ignorance of the American people. The election of Donald Trump as president is a prime example. So never underestimate what the public will do. There just may be enough of these people to vote irresponsibly that allows our fragile democracy to end because they simply are unable to understand the ramifications of voting without knowing what they are doing.
So very true based upon history of the American electorate. He is dangerous because so many of the public voting bloc are lazy and do not have a fervor for democracy.
Dems who support him must desperately believe that, if elected, he would magically transform into a real Kennedy, like Jack and Bobby. Remember how well that worked when old school Rs just knew that #45 would magically become "presidential" when he got the job? Not gonna happen, guys.
Kennedy is a bad Republican in everybody's mind but his own. Republicans are contributing heavily to his campaign. And he's a monstrous human being, kennedy.
Actually, I'm sorry I missed your comment about losing a subscriber because of RFK Jr. I was surprised by a reply to what I thought was a pretty inoccuous comment that I made in support of one of your columns a few weeks ago. I don't like to engage with people, so I've kept pretty quiet since then. I'm just liking and commenting on other's posts. You say everything that I'm thinking, Jeff!
Do not be afraid to speak your mind Deb! You have a place and it is here. I used to think like you but it only took me a minute to go on the attack after some of my thoughts drew the ire from some wolves in Substack clothing showed themselves.
Now I draw vivid words around their stupid attacks for all to see.
I have no idea what level of support RFK Jr. holds among my readership, but I guess I'm about to find out.

Good riddance and don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Jeff, you must have some republican trolls lurking among your subscribed readers, maybe he was one just trying to get under your skin.
I hope and pray none.
Good piece Jeff
I may increase mine. Also I know my kids will love to subscribe.

I’m not leaving anytime soon. In fact, I just donated to The Smirking Chimp.
I still wish Ethel weren't 95 years old. That boy needs a good ass whipping the way only a Catholic mom can give
Agreed but at this point in time, he's too far out in the cosmos for it to do much good.

Wow, that does say it all. I am sure she can get him a Putin dinner invite. Just stay away from the windows.
Dennis Kucinich is his campaign manager, and we all know how great he is at running presidential campaigns...
Denny should know better.

Hey, we voted out that little red headed Kennedy, can't even remember his name, who was trying to take Senator Markey's seat.
Unfortunately, I thought Trump was a flash in the pan when he first put his hat in the ring. And here we are! We can't get rid of that asshat.

The answer to the question you posed is: Yes.
During her drinking decades, Ethyl dropped Jr. on his head.
Repeatedly.
Camelot, my big fat Jewish ass.
He’s your Trump VP candidate.
An attempt to draw the middle to a faux “bi-partisan” ticket. Just wait.

Possible
Kari Lake would be so pissed!!

I personally am not worried about RFK, Jr.

his platforming of Hitler fanboys,
It is now clear to me why so many Florida MAGAs (and likely others) love Kennedy.
