Please be aware that HR 9495, a bill that would give Trump the power to shut down nonprofits for "supporting terrorism", is scheduled for a markup in the House today and will probably come to the floor this week. Fifty-two Democrats voted for this horrific legislation, which would affect independent news outlets, thereby allowing corporate media to triumph over their opposition and rule supreme. No wonder the WaPo and the Times are busily kissing Trump's ass. The Senate may or may not vote for this bill, and I hope Biden would get his head out of his ass long enough to veto it, but come January and a Republican-controlled Congress, the bill is very likely to become law. Call your rep and demand that they vote no, both now and in the future, or dissent will be silenced. This is a throwback to the Attorney General's List of the 1950s; if you don't know about that, look it up.
