A washing machine for money laundering

a tremendous washing machine, like no one has ever seen wash before, from the standpoint of washing. 😮‍💨

Don't miss this jaw-dropping history of Trump's decades-long service as a Russian laundromat, and at least click on it for the incredible and hilarious graphic at the start. And holy smokes, just the first three paragraphs tell the whole tale:

His ties with Russians go back to the ‘70s when he took Ivana over to start scouting for real estate. Not sure that marriage and that of Melanie(sic)isn’t one of Russian convenience. His whole story now in retrospect smells like one of his blown out diapers. He’s been an asset all along and no doubt gave rise to the foothold the Russian mob got in NY/Miami. Remember the stories that came out over a decade or more now about all the Russian mothers coming over, camping out in his fleabag hotel and having their babies here so they would have dual citizenship?

All these decades it was known that Trump at the very least was a corrupt liar! Why didn’t law enforcement do anything about his criminal behavior? This makes me sicker than I already felt!!

This is the real source of his money, laundering for the Russian Oligarchs, he and Epstein had a falling out over a piece of real estate in Palm Beach, that trump won the bid on. He sold it to a Russian oligarch and made 60 million over what he paid. Who overpays like that? Someone laundering their dirty rubles.

"In 2008, Donald Trump sold a Palm Beach mansion to Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev for the record price of $95 million.the Trump-Rybolovlev sale is getting added scrutiny, given it is one of the few financial links to Russia that Trump has acknowledged.

On May 15, 2008, the day the Palm Beach Post revealed the property was under contract for $100 million, Trump bragged about the deal on CNBC's Squawk Box. ..

Then in 2016, Trump told reporters assembled at a press conference in Miami: "What do I have to do with Russia? You know the closest I came to Russia, I bought a house a number of years ago in Palm Beach ... for $40 million, and I sold it to a Russian for $100 million."

I don't know—it feels off to compare a career White Male Politician to anything related to "She's Too Black", especially one who's pulled that stunt himself. (Anita Hill—how soon they forget.)

The far more valid comparison is "He's too old" to "He's virtually the same age and clearly in deep cognitive decline—but he's NOT too old???"

Just because I agree Joe Biden is better than Donald Trump doesn't mean that I've forgotten Biden has his own significant failings, and to pretend otherwise is a big part of why he hasn't galloped so far ahead of Donnie Diaperstain that he's lapped him in the polls.

All true, but I don't see how the only party that could prevent Trump 2.0 from taking over the country again had any other REALISTIC alternative. Any splitting up the ticket for a different v.p. would alienate black voters , as it should; in today's celebrity, name-recognition-is -everything electorate, trying to familiarize the mass public (that doesn't follow politics or current events like the readers here do) with a new face would probably lead to a lower turnout - it would have had to start almost immediately after Joe's election! - , and an incumbent ALWAYS has a huge built-in advantage in fundraising for ad dollars.

Not arguing that point, because you're right. Just saying, let's not fall into the same Trump – I mean "trap" the Right has fallen into.

All true. To start, as a new candidate a year in would have been a no confidence vote for the sitting president and we most certainly could skip all the positive legislation Biden did achieve. Personally, I do not see any "decline" that people like the one above has put forth. Biden has always talked like this. For the 100th time he is old. And so are a bunch of active professionals in many different fields and no one is telling them to quit making movies, writing books, or continue to occupy offices in the Senate or boardrooms. Apparently, Grassley is still old. Old enough to commit back stabbing acts while being Senator of Iowa for, what seems like 50 years but only about 43 years since 1980. Yep, he IS old but not too old to lie his way to self congratulations on GOP schemes at his 90 years.

DR Darke's avatar

Yes, RV maxima—all of this.

Biden was Mister Malaprop when he was a Young Senator, and part of the way Obama used him was as comic relief! From what I gathered through official sources Biden not only didn't mind, he liked being Costello to Obama's Abbott—probably because Obama liked playing the straight man, and when shit got real he relied on Ole Uncle Joe to watch his back.

For myself? My Paternal Grandfather lived into his late Nineties as did my Maternal Grandmother, and both were in full possession of their faculties until the last few years of their lives. My Best Friend's Mother only recently died in her late Nineties and only begun declining in the last year of her life, and her Grandfather died in HIS late Nineties coming home from running a business! While he'd sit with my then-wife and talk about The Spanish Civil War a lot (he published an anti-Fascist newspaper and barely got out with his life), that was because she was genuinely interested in the topic and he was delighted to find a new and receptive audience....

Most of the older people I knew lived to be at least a decade older than Biden will be when he leaves office. The point is where it counts Joe Biden IS on top of things, certainly more than Donald Trump is these days!

I couldn't agree more in spite of the MSM constantly pointing look over there, or worse acting like the race between Biden & Trump is just another Democratic president vs a"regular" GOP. If anything like regular GOP" existed today - now there's a story!! But back to reality, you know, where Trump is a great businessman except the " business " experience is running Russian Voy Laundromats and in-between times running up debt and claiming bankruptcy. And why DON'T they talk about that?

Maybe because the " business community " and I use the word "community" mainly in jest, maybe they want to profiteer and buy up all the places on the Monopoly board with impunity, so nope, no factual news if at all possible. Because, meanwhile the VC are buying up the single family homes in markets like Atlanta and out bidding private buyers. This is being repeated across the country in many markets. Or Private Equity buying up hospitals, physicians groups and other health networks ( made easier as those markets consolidated 15+ years ago) and not to save us the users money, that is for certain. So while there is a whole sale "guilded age" of billionaires taking advantage in all of these markets the last thing the media owning billionaires want is for any reporting that might upset the equation. Oh, to be sure it is not 100% propaganda but news reporting is getting more allergic to facts and most definitely interested in " opinion". So, we get the comic book version of the presidential race and let it be a distraction. Safer than allowing more daylight on the entire enterprise.

There is still real journalism from ProPublica, PBS,NPR and the Guardian and others like we can read here but the MSM telling you it is raining, when they are actually...yeah, not so much.

Unless Senator Biden said something specific about Anita Hill’s race during her testimony that I don’t remember, I’m going to disagree that it had anything to do with her skin color. Since Anita was accusing a black man of the sexual harassment, it is more connected to blatant misogyny & men’s gut reaction to protect other men & rather believe that women are liars, out to get men & destroy their reputations & careers.

I have some receipts here for you, P.J. Schuster:

Oh, & yes, there are many things that I don’t like about Biden:

1) He’s an admitted Zionist

2) I hate his support of Netanyahu &

that he won’t shut off the weapons

3) I want him to stop using the phrase

abortion on demand as if that’s bad

4) He’s not being as forceful as he

needs to be calling out the crap

that’s in Project 2025

And that Project 2025 is SO BAD & completely terrifying that I’d vote for Joe even if he was semi-comatose

I was only able to read the 1st 2 articles since I don’t have a subscription. He was more unfair than I knew at the time, & the entire thing was horribly misogynistic. I sure am more angry with him after reading them, however I still don’t see the blatant racism, other than as the one article pointed out, Joe & perhaps others were very determined to appoint a Black man & didn’t want him discredited; even by a Black woman.

I wasn’t taking up for Biden in my original comment to you, I was just saying I thought it was way more misogyny, than racism.

Hoyt, I LOVE your post. IMHO, Joe Biden is the most impressive and consequential president of my life going back to LBJ. I mean that. He inherited a nightmare - Trumpistan. So, it's a testament to President Biden's faith in this country, his experience, and determination to set us back on course that we are experiencing the positive trajectory in key metrics of economic and social stability.

About 99.999 percent! The rest is, we don't have any other means of covering a President where we cannot focus on all the bad stuff he is doing, so we only talk about who he is, and that has been rolled into, his age. What else could be a problem? Even Hunter is not really indicative of Joe as a bad person, so what else do they have. They are somehow allowed to be ageist, but if they kept saying he has a Black female as vice president, and if she has a chance to take over we will have our first woman president be a Black woman. How anyone in their right mind could find Trump preferable to Harris I don't know, but apparently the age old adage of being White and male trumps being smart and competent and Black and Female to those who support the Republican party and our mainstream press. They don't even cover her.
