this is the kind of post where, while I'm writing it, I'm checking my phone every five minutes to make sure that Mitch McConnell didn't just release a 'proof of life' video

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

Well here, Ill cheer you the fuck up Jeff.

So our very stable genius woke up at 6 a.m., cracked his knuckles, and declared the Iran ceasefire he personally brokered in April to be "over" — because nothing says master gigolo dealmaker like torching your own signature achievement before the coffee's even brewed.

Then the doddering old man erupted at NATO in Ankara, promptly shit his pants, pissed himself, and then disoriented and confused, began whining that he was "very disappointed" in the allies, "testing" whether they'd show up for him — a rambling, unmoored performance from a guy who couldn't tell you what day it was.

Oil promptly jumped more than 6 fucking percent. Brent's back at $76. sanctions he lifted as the whole point of the deal? slammed right back on. three ships hit in the Strait of Hormuz. So gas already up a buck-sixteen a gallon since this genius started his little war, jet fuel up 95%, and the fertilizer that grows your goddamn groceries runs straight through that same strait.

The war he ended in April is, this morning, extremely unfinished. again, and the bill lands on us — every single goddamned time.

I wrote all this bullshit here. I was not happy about it. I had to force myself in places. And I am just NOT that much into BDSM and masochism (not kink shaming anyone btw).

I'ma waiting for Demented DonOld to jump on the I-talked-to-Mitch-for-20-minutes wagon: "I uh, spoke to Senaturr McDonald's, uh, and he, he, told me what a great, wonderful things I said to those, those NATO freeloaders, and he, uh, said it's like no one has ever seen before, uh. . ."

Stephen Brady's avatar

Oh, what a wonderful timeline we inhabit. They loaded Donnie Demento aboard Whorehouse 1 and flew him 7 time zones East… and low and behold, he is confused… who could have ever guessed?

Cathy Wray's avatar

Isn't this elder abuse? He should be in a home.

Dave Drell's avatar

I kind of like that he’s getting abused - he deserves every fucking bad thing to happen to him.

Cathy Wray's avatar

I was kidding. He does need abuse

Hollie Rood's avatar

I think perhaps you mean WE’RE being abused. Abused BY an elderly 🍊🤡🐖y

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

He's IN the wrong 'home' unfortunately, and tearing it down...the nasty fuckwit. Does anyone think 'obuma or biden would've noticed those columns' he spewed? WHAT a stupid fucking prick. Excuse my venom, but both THOSE good men and FAR better Presidents on their worst days were too fucking busy concerning themselves with US, We the People instead of the utter stupidity that pumpkin head thinks is 'all important': 'We scraped 150 years of paint off those columns' blabbity blah blah....NO he didn't! He's actually having his latest NO-bid asses put in HIS choice of far more gaudy columns which do NOT fit the period of time when the White House was built. Who cares, not demento. HE thinks he's Caesar. And while President Barack Obama assuredly lives rent-free in his big, dumb pumpkin head, Joe Biden is a frequent visitor there as well. I agree with you...he needs to be in THE very worst, most abusive nursing home/mental institution in the entire world where the 'caretakers' will leave him in his own filth. NO Mr. wet wipes to the rescue.

Cathy Wray's avatar

I agree with you, Maui!!! Well stated!!💙

I only went from Hawaii time to Eastern and it took me days to get my internal clock reset — 71 years old here.

Laurie's avatar

That's true, but he does this all the time even in meetings in the US, so I don't think that's the problem.

HI2thDoc's avatar

He even fell asleep during the yooge Biggest Ever Fireworks Show Like No One Has Ever Seen Before

Stephen Brady's avatar

Back in the late 90s and early 2000s I went to Hawaii every Fall for a conference. The trip West was easy. The return trip - 5 time zones East was bad. I traveled with an old friend who had had several small strokes… he was a mess much of the trip.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Yes, heading east was tougher for me. My journey was the opposite of yours-from Hawaii to the midwest for school. Luckily I was in my 20s then. Don't like to do it now.

arne link's avatar

I'll be flying to Barcelona from the west coast. I'm old and not really looking forward to it.

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

Like he chatted with an AI hologram of Teddy Roosevelt in South Dakota. Scott Jennings and the other empty ballsack who discussed events and policies in the morgue with Mitch are craven ghouls.

Joyce's avatar

Maybe that's what's going on: they're working on AI Moscow Mitch and it's taking a while to make sure he doesn't have six fingers on each hand.

kdsherpa's avatar

Oh! Excellent point! I hadn't thought of that.

J Hardy Carroll's avatar

This is also copraphelia. I won't explain to the crowd, but look up "hot Carl" and "dirty Sanchez" to get an idea.

Linda Weide's avatar

No he has not done that yet. I think the powers that be are trying to keep him out of sight. I also think that someone needs to push to have him show proof of life or get someone into the race to replace him.

Meanwhile while Mitch is showing that rumors of him being brain dead are not disproven. Trump goes back to making war on Iran, although like Putin, he does not really call it a war. Let us see what the War Crimes tribunal will call it.

Greenland needs to get a soccer team, or join the Belgian one.

Daniel M Kimmel's avatar

What I find mysterious is that within days McConnell's wife took off for China. What's that all about?

Linda Weide's avatar

That is what made me think he has already died. Who would leave their seriously ill husband to go abroad on such a trip otherwise?

devourerofpancakes's avatar

I have read theories that she is the only person who can make medical decisions, like removing life support. That's why I think McConnell is brain dead while the party waits out a chance to replace him. Which is horrendous and ghoulish but so was Mitch.

Linda Weide's avatar

That is again, why I suspect he might be already dead, because she is gone.

arne link's avatar

She went for instructions from her handlers

Linda Weide's avatar

One might think that, but know that she does not need to leave to do that. The look is not good. Wife leaves dying husband's side. Or, was she sent there to get her out of the way fearing she could not play her role properly.

Linda Weide's avatar

We don't know what is going on, but the look of her leaving is not good.

Patricia Toler's avatar

I think Mitch is dead and she’s having him cremated . She will pick him up when she gets back or the ashes were sent to China.

Linda Weide's avatar

Yup! The secrecy certainly leads to speculation. Especially because the Republicans are the party of the lying liars.

🌷IntheHalloftheMtnKing's avatar

Just all so corrupt and dishonest.

Mike Hammer's avatar

That reminds me of an old SNL when a young boy (Baluchi) was lying in a hospital bed in a coma after getting hit in the head with a baseball. His parents decide to finally pull the plug when he wakes up:and sees them struggling along with the doctor to yank the plug from the wall.

Linda Weide's avatar

😂 John and Jim were classic SNL players. Jim later on had a rib place called Jimmie B's, in a little plaza on North Halsted Street in Chicago, next to Uncle Franks Hotdog Stand. I worked in the coffeehouse next door, so I did see him on a few occasions.

devourerofpancakes's avatar

We are celebrating the 250th birthday of the declaration of independence. Practically the only thing most of us know about it is that the founders didn't want taxation without representation. Someone should remind the people of Kentucky that without Mitch they lack 1/2 of their representation in the senate.

Linda Weide's avatar

dop, while I agree that it is worth a try, I also see Kentucky as a state were people have been willing to have no representation in Congress as long as they were MAGAs. I don't think they understand what representation means. My book club is reading The Conspiracists by Noelle Cook. We will finish up for next week.

https://www.broadleafbooks.com/store/product/9798889832423/The-Conspiracists

It has been eye opening to understanding what people believe, but still less clear on why. It certainly suggests several areas of research. One would be on the post covid effects of people socially in the US and elsewhere in the world. We have been discussing what a hugely traumatic event it was and still is and how little it is brought up except amongst parents and teachers like myself who see the huge repercussions of Covid on students and our own children's development.

P123Sunny's avatar

Beshear should go in person to McConnell’s hospital room and take TMZ with him.

- Ginuts

devourerofpancakes's avatar

That book looks super interesting.

Linda Weide's avatar

It is.

We have read Katherine Stewart's "Money, Lies and God" so we have an understanding of the Christian Nationalists, as well as from Andra Watkins. This is giving a different perspective of the world of MAGA, of the women who embrace the conspiracies like Marjorie Taylor Greene. I cannot imagine how many ill informed traumatized people are living in states that elect these people to office. It is stultifying. Each day I know to be grateful that it is not me living with such poor information in the world. This book has added another piece. We are about to read a German book,

"The Global Right: History, Conditions for Success and Impact" by Marcel Lewandowsky.

devourerofpancakes's avatar

I have Stewart's book next to my bed. I just can't get through it. It's too depressing. What kind of book club are you in? That is some heavy stuff.

P123Sunny's avatar

Schumer kinda quiet?…😒

Mary Hall's avatar

Good. He brings nothing to the table.

Mary Greenwald's avatar

Schumer endorsed MILLS. Elizabeth Warren endorsed Platner. I have not heard nor read word one from Elizabeth Warren! Bernie is finally pulling back. Bunch of old guys mad at Susie from Maine. Looks like Susie is getting the last laugh. Democrats are too stupid to vet a candidate.

Harold Miller's avatar

You are uninformed.

Warren and Sanders immediately withdrew their endorsements,

days ago.

The Democratic Party should be proud that we stand for decency,

even when it’s a tough call politically!

Meanwhile the GOP is all in on Paxton and still covering up the

Epstein files for Donnie.

The contrast couldn’t be more obvious!

We are the real moral majority!

P123Sunny's avatar

Why didn’t this lady come forward when the initial brouhaha was happening? Just asking questions

Anne's avatar

because women who speak up get treated like crap; their lives get analyzed; they get turned into the villain. Maybe she thought the earlier revelations were sufficient and she didn't have to stick her neck out. I mean, I don't know. Neither do you.

Joyce's avatar

Anita Hill

Christine Blasey Ford

Virginia Giuffre

Irascible Ink's avatar

Millions of women would crawl over glass to get Project 2025 tossed to the shitpile of bad ideas. I'm disappointed one single woman couldn't dare to speak up sooner if she thought it fucking mattered. Grow a spine, women.

HH Mohr's avatar

Thank you, Anne.

rlritt's avatar

Why indeed. Its almost seems like she was urged by some unknown party to come forward. And all the media got the story almost immediately.

This pisses me off because Trump gets a free pass for attacking a woman and getting the courts to agree he did and told him he has to pay her reparations. His supporters are mad at her because she should consider herself lucky that Trump chose her, not a pretty woman, to molest. As should the teenage girls Trump molested. Lucky for them to be good enough for him and his pal Jeff.

But Platner has an altercation with a girl friend and its in every paper condemning him in less that 24 hours. The Republicans are probably peeing in their pants laughing about this.

Jayme Wolworth's avatar

Right? 77 million people voted for an adjudicated rapist sitting on 34 felonies. Platner was accused of inappropriate behavior 5 years after the fact with no charges filed and he's OUT. ffs

P123Sunny's avatar

What a stroke of luck… almost exactly like the Biden push out with 100 days to go… makes D’s look like they keep making the same mistakes.

Kim Steeves's avatar

I am wondering the same thing, seemed to me she "released" her story then next she was being interviewed by Jake Tapper? How is that posible?

Irascible Ink's avatar

At the same time, just stop with the "ooh, he was inappropriate... he patted my butt... he didn't want to let me get out of his car, but I did and everything was fine..." accusations. No fucking man will ever live up to your expectations if these are the hairs we're going to split. It's life in Boomer/GenX land, which is where these guys are from. Demand they do better, but FFS stop crucifying people for far, FAR less than what we have going on in DC right now.

Irascible Ink's avatar

If women want to make sure assholes aren't running the country, then they need to put up or shut up. Speak up FIRST. Take the goddamn risk. You're not helping by Fording your way against fucking people like Kavanaugh. I'm a woman and I was cringing at her squeaky mouse-voice testimony. Holy shit. Grow a SPINE. HELP US.

Ginny Hall's avatar

Agree. Was this timing planned? Not saying she's lying, but did someone encourage her to wait?

Robert Eckert's avatar

She spoke up about it to several people when it happened; the therapist still has the notes. At that time he wasn't anybody prominent, but still, nothing happened to him in consequence.

In the current campaign, she says she felt conflicted because she despises Susan Collins and agreed with Platner on policy positions, and she hoped that the others who spoke up would suffice.

Of course she knew that speaking up would expose her to accusations from the like of you and rlritt.

Daniel M Kimmel's avatar

I wondered that too. Read today that she thought her interview with the Times was sufficient and was stunned when people continued to make excuses for him.

Irascible Ink's avatar

I'm not making excuses. If he did what he did, it was wrong. If nothing was done about it, it was wrong. But making it a goddamn blinking red light vapors fainting couch issue about it NOW is also wrong. WTF, do women really think he's going to legalize rape or something? Wake TF up, ladies. You're ALREADY BEING RAPED. His dick will never touch you, but his stances against the fascist pigs in control right now will could maybe save you from worse. And yeah, we're at the "could maybe" point, because shit's off the rails for all of us.

rlritt's avatar

You're right, heads in the clouds. Its too bad we have no power in a Republican controlled government. But we hold our heads up proudly as people with no health care die and immigrants sit in concentration camps.

Robert Eckert's avatar

Mary pointed out, correctly, that Warren was one of Platner's endorsers and has not said anything about who should replace him.

PTW's avatar

Shouldn't that be left up to the residents of Maine? Elizabeth Warren does not live in or represent Maine voters. Why are you expecting **her** to come up with who his replacement should be?

Robert Eckert's avatar

Why did **she** endorse him in the first place, then?

Lady Emsworth's avatar

"Democrats are too stupid to vet a candidate."

Have you SEEN trump lately?

Will's avatar
Jul 8Edited

I don't have time to read all of these comments, but it's definitely tiring to hear the, "Democrats are at fault for Republicans" narratives. So don't vote for Democrats, because they're why we have Republicans. I realize it's just trolling, but it's tiring, and I also realize that's exactly their goal. But I'm still voting.

rlritt's avatar

Or the Republicans are good at digging up and amplifying dirt.

P123Sunny's avatar

I meant are there LEGAL RULES to declaring if a Senator is unable to do their job.

I heard Warren withdrew her endorsement asap.

Likely why Schumer supported Mills - a more even swap with experienced, older Collins? I did not think that was crazy at all.

(Same with Biden running on the incumbent card. These old guys sometimes have instincts that come with marinating in this shyte for decades, idk)

Robert Eckert's avatar

Mills already faced the voters and did not perform well. Resurrecting her campaign now looks really suicidal.

P123Sunny's avatar

Understood - I just meant initially (I mean na zi tattoos are unnerving)…

US Blues's avatar

Lady Emsworth's avatar

Maybe he's dead as well?

SeekingReason's avatar

If he is dead, how will we tell the difference from when he’s “alive”? 😁 I love the top photo of the dead sack of trash held up by more trash. And the 20 minute talk (to himself, no doubt) by Scott Jennings 🤣🤣 Yes, let’s go to the hospital and film Mitch since he’s such a chatterbox about all things worldly! 🙄

Then there are people who automatically go in the Good Category when there is a picture of them sleeping soundly next to their pet! 🩷

Leu2500's avatar

Not his caucus. & the Rs have the majority even if Mitch's seat is empty.

Lisa's avatar

Those 20 minute conversations with Mitch were mostly one sided with an occasional interruption from his ventilator.

Joyce's avatar

You know, it suddenly occurred to me--why in the world would the Republicans hesitate to admit Moscow Mitch is brain dead? That describes 90% of the party and its voters, so who would notice a difference?

rlritt's avatar

And his wife who would have to be the one to take him off life support just had an urgent need to skiddadle to China.

San's avatar

These people talk to Glitch but they don’t say that he talked back to them. They’re so weird. The republican people have fallen below having a sense of pride in themselves

Jeff, I think the skeleton crew at what’s left of the NYT reads your posts before they decide, “Hey, that Jeff wise guy got away with writing about Glitch, maybe we should?” You posted about it Monday, and then they did Tuesday. I don’t give them my money, but I get their clickbait in my email.

Yes, it burns.

Also, it’s 10:15 CDST and so far, Platner hasn’t made a move to go away yet. Apparently he wants to name his successor.

I’m just sorry that trump didn’t fall out of his chair in front of the world. Maybe today?

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

I'm beginning to seriously doubt that Shitler will make it to the November midterms. At least he won't get his bunker-hospital wing of the WH completed in time. Iran and the Islamic Republic of Japan will be celebrating together.

SPW's avatar

From your comment go god’s ears.

I have pictures's avatar

I can’t imagine why people would leave you and this space but who knows? Trump-o-nomics is really hitting some folks hard. 20 all at once on one day is strange.

But, Platner, like Swalwell, or any other discovered to be cheating/abusing candidate (Paxton GoP in Texas) needs to drop out.

Swallwell did but his delay was damaging. Platner’s could be fatal. The clock is ticking. We know what happens when we have last minute campaigns.

Trump leads by example so Paxton won’t drop, but that could be to Talarico’s advantage. Just thinking out loud here.

But bottom line, Dems/Dem Socialists should take a higher ethics stance IMHO.

rlritt's avatar

Why should Paxton drop out? They don't care if he was impeached on 15 counts of abuse. (Not convicted). And he's in the lead in Texas against Telerico, who is boy scout.

Daniel M Kimmel's avatar

No, Paxton isn't. I just looked up the latest polls. One has them tied. The other Talarico with a slight lead.

Meanwhile Paxton is in the news for spending our 250th in London with his mistress, and also for apparenly voting from the wrong address repeatedly.

Michelle Vancura's avatar

Actually, the newest polls have them tied, or Talarico slightly ahead. I live in Texas and everyone I’ve spoken with, including republicans and independents are sick of Paxton.

Harold Miller's avatar

I was suspicious of Platner from the beginning, the tattoo and all.

But I was keeping my fingers crossed that he was being truthful.

That all fell apart when I heard the lastest from this woman.

She was telling friends about it years before he was even running.

Contemporaneous evidence sealed the deal.

You were right to call for his calling off of the campaign.

rlritt's avatar

She told friends? Why not the police?

Anne's avatar

Do you pay attention? How often do women tell the police and nothing happens? Going to the cops - it's hard. Rape kit exams (if done) are intrusive and often never analyzed. Cops don't believe women.

Joyce's avatar

And especially if the woman was in a relationship with the rapist--because, y'know, if she was already having sex with him before, then what's the difference this time? And, if they weren't having sex, then obviously this is just a case of her changing her mind after the fact. Or maybe they had a fight and she's just mad.

Of course, if the rapist was a stranger, then she was where she shouldn't have been, dressed to ask for it, doing something she shouldn't have been doing, etc., etc.

Dave Drell's avatar

Hopefully you get 4-5 new converts everyday to make up with the few that leave you.

Troubled economic times can lead to people cutting back.

rlritt's avatar

I would never cancel you because I disagree about Platner. I personally think its a republican hit job, but I see your point. If enough people dont vote for him, susan Collins stays. She'll probably win now but occasionally, when not important, she'll vote with the Democrats.

You still write my favorite column above all. You're hysterical. And your marriage sounds like it was wonderful.

That Beezley Woman's avatar

I just started my subscription! I've followed you forever. I think your "Daily Claudia" is a great idea. For you, as well as for us. I may not have a right to say this as I was only an American Per resident for 11 years in NH and am now back in Canada for good but seriously - the man was scum from day 1. If people dropped you for saying the truth - then they do not know you at all. Neither do I really but I like your truth talking and love your Mrs Spouse pics and stories. Hopefully more people will find you. Of course they might be Mitch lovers too.......

Mary Greenwald's avatar

I will re-up! Platner was a bad choice from the beginning. I also had comments made about my dislike of Platner. Looks like you and I were right!

US Blues's avatar

No, Uncle Jeff. A lot of misogynists are upset that anyone has a problem with men sexually abusing women. You know, it’s the “boys will be boys” assholes and their female apologists who are spitting mad that this guy is being held accountable.

How arrogant of Platner to think this wouldn’t come out and no one would care.

Norma's avatar

Lawrence did a great piece on Planter last night. It was a master class in journalism. I’m pissed as fuck at his arrogant ass thinking no one would find out about his abhorrent behavior! And the working class hero shit he was peddling was a lie also. He came from money. His grandfather designed the dinning room at the Windows on The World restaurant and his father was a successful lawyer. He possibly blew our chance to take back the Senate. So six fucking more years of being concerned 🤨🙄

DuduLovesBubu's avatar

I wouldn't say that. There are enough angry Dems in southern Maine to outvote those ignorant MAGA in northern Maine. I just wish I didn't have to live among those ignorant fucks.

rlritt's avatar

In 6 more years of Republicans there wont be another election.

Joyce's avatar

The thing was, Platner was a questionable sort from the beginning....but he seemed to be offering the platform voters wanted, and it also seemed that he had a redemption story. It's a fucking mess.

Steve in SoCal's avatar

You're in good company, as everyone but MAGA chuds was saying the same thing

john augustine's avatar

I loved platner's message but my question is why is there a double standard for dems vs Republicons? I know the dem establishment will love him dropping out and sure they will replace him with another wall street, neoliberal lackey that will lose.

Gayna's avatar

Because it is not a moral or good thing to normalize rape as an okay thing for someone to hold office. Jesus, when will you men get it into your fucking heads that it is a GOD DAMNED TRAUMATIC CRIME?!

john augustine's avatar

but only for dems, right? the Rs continue to win regardless as evidenced by a convicted rapist in white house

Anne's avatar

it is just as bad for republicans. But they don't care. I'm glad I belong to a party that cares about right and wrong.

john augustine's avatar

look where that has gotten the dems today

Gayna's avatar

So what the fuck? You want to sleaze down to their level? It is highly disturbing that you keep what abouting about Fucking RAPE! Dude, you are a complete misogynist and it’s disgusting. Join MAGA — you’ll fit in much better.

john augustine's avatar

ur comment is out of line and you don't know me....my comment is an observation....as I said, the neoliberal dem establishment hates any candidate that challenges the current rigged system so his past alleged rapes, etc. is very convenient for the ruling class side of the dem party

Daniel M Kimmel's avatar

Trump is NOT a "convicted rapist." He was held LIABLE for sexual assault in a civil trial, which has a lower burden of proof and carries no criminal penalties. The judge in the trial likened it to rape, but said it wasn't so under NY law. Some people have thus been calling Trump an "adjudicated rapist," which is factually correct if legally meaningless.

john augustine's avatar

I stand corrected but if he wasn't convicted why was there millions in the judgement which is a penalty?

Mps's avatar

Still a crime

Ann Panda's avatar

Maybe people are struggling financially, Jeff, and cutting back where they can. I'm keeping all my independent journalism subscriptions, but I've cut way back on non-essentials. We even stopped buying alcohol! Now that's devotion to fiduciary responsibility. ;-)

Deb Pierce's avatar

If people unsubscribe because of your views on Platner then they weren’t worth having. Oh, and your picture of Weekend at Mitch’s is priceless!!! Copied and sent to all my friends! Thanks!!

NO!!! THEY'VE HACKED SUBSTACK!

he should have dropped out already. But Bernie calling on him to drop out yesterday was the last nail in the coffin.

Lucius's avatar

Good. He never should have run to begin with, since he basically handed Collins a win on a silver platter, but at least he'll be gone until next election cycle when he runs as a Republican.

Chris Hierholzer's avatar

I thought the same thing Lucius.

Dana Jae Labrecque's avatar

Alex Wagner had a great rant with Tim Miller on his podcast yesterday. Toxic masculinity thinking he can not only get through this while lying about everything but then taking time to badger the state Dem Chair about who they should select in his place. Unbelievable. What an asshole.

Lucius's avatar

Sociopathic narcissist behavior.

Gary D's avatar

He can always run for president - as a Republican.

Jerrold Marsh's avatar

He should run as a Republican. He would be welcomed with open arms.

Jeff, you forgot to mention the “very long conversation” Donald had with Putin the night before the NATO conference.. It seems he received his orders and employee review all at the same time.. 🤮🫨

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

I know. everyday is such a firehose of fuckery that the question is always 'do I leave this out, or do I keep writing until noon?'

Fastball Fredo's avatar

U do a great job covering the latest.. it’s just that fire hose of disinformation that keeps all of us wide eyed.. can’t cover everything.. Best to You.

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

Trying to keep up with breaking news will make you like Lucy and Ethyl in the chocolate factory. It's the bitingly piquant wit and wry point of view that keep us coming back -- it's not your job to be CNN or whatever news source we dare to trust these days.

Joyce's avatar

Noon the following day, if you tried to get it all posted......

HI2thDoc's avatar

Golden shower blackmail very effective

Fastball Fredo's avatar

Dating back to the 80’s.. it’s hard to think that whatever he did in Russia, he did not stop to think everything is recorded… and no one told him? How dumb can you be?

HI2thDoc's avatar

Think? Him? Shallow, ignorant, impulsive, infantile narcissists with no self-control don't stop to think. They just do as they please.

Fastball Fredo's avatar

Sounds like him and his cabinet🤮

Claudia Classon's avatar

The Pee Pee Tapes!? Maybe one day…

HI2thDoc's avatar

I am not a conspiracy theorist by any means, but did you ever hear the expression, where there's smoke there's fire?

Claudia Classon's avatar

My thoughts precisely. Although to be more specific, where there's Trump, it's going to be bad...very bad.

P123Sunny's avatar

President Trump: Would you go to Moscow?

It’s difficult. There are a lot of Ukrainian drones there. It's dangerous…

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

yeah, I imagine that will be in tomorrow's post. it's too juicy to leave out

Dave Drell's avatar

Who wants Zelensky to go to Moscow ???? He’d never return… believe me… never!

Michelle Kenoyer's avatar

I heard that Trump kept calling Zelenskyy "Putin." Damn Shitler's lost his effing mind.

US Blues's avatar

Yeah, donnycon’s had his nose up Putin’s ass for years yet DSA candidates calling for things most Americans want are COMMUNISTS!

Susan Niemann's avatar

“Or you’re not going to have a Europe anymore “

Fuck this demented old coot!!!

I bet every Republican who is covering for him is being blackmailed in some way. Or maybe they’re all a bunch of immoral assholes. Maybe a bit of both. 🤦‍♀️. Maybe he and Mitch can go out together.

Kim Nesvig's avatar

When Trump thinks of Europe at all, it’s as the place where white people and Hitler came from.

myhoopbabies's avatar

Oh please, oh please, oh please, let this come true. We need a two-fer with Mitch and Donny.

devourerofpancakes's avatar

I bet they are immoral assholes. Is there anyone in the republican party willing to admit that democrats have just as much right to make there case and win voters? Not that I can tell.

Mirla G. Raz's avatar

2 too many "maybe"s.

Marian Vitale's avatar

About Meloni, I'm shocked he didn't say "I moved on her like a bitch".

myhoopbabies's avatar

I almost added that part in my head while I was reading the transcript (can't listen to him at all anymore). What a pig.

Dave Drell's avatar

LOL - good one Marian!

The Fact And Just The Facts's avatar

Maybe he’s stuck on his back and can’t turn over. Somebody help that MF.

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

Oh, he's stuck on his back alright. I just cannot believe his wife would have dashed to China if he were actually recovering and not definitively brain dead or dead.

rlritt's avatar

She is the only one who can take him off life support, assuming that's his condition. She could keep him on it indefinitely.

Robert Eckert's avatar

I enjoyed that gem from Donnie Demento: there are Russian ships around Greenland, along with China ships--wouldn't they sink??

To the tune of Ruby Tuesday 🎶

He has done so much to harm this land

The voters in his state don't understand

Fed Fox right wing crap

Turned into MAGA saps

They won't believe

They've been deceived

Goodbye, Mitch McConnell

You played your crooked games so well

When you finally croak we hope you

Go straight to hell

He spent his many years in Washington

Trying to stop good from being done

He did his corrupt best

To grow this MAGA mess

Progress subdued and now we're screwed

Goodbye, Mitch McConnell

Heard you're just a veggie now

When you croak it's overdue

And take trump with you

Jeff

I read Robert Reich call for Platner to drop out and a lot of comments were they were going to cancel/ unfollow Mr Reich due to his opinion.

So the answer to your question is probably yes.

Platner has been giving me the “icks” from my spidey senses from the beginning.

My spidey senses are my super power.

Just love the Claudia photos. Such deep love you two had between you.

Ps

I have not nor am I unsubscribing.

Sharey's avatar

YES! He creeped me out from the beginning. His blind followers are no different than the mindless MAGA. Why does everyone want to play victim? Why can’t we just make this country what we want it to be?

Virgin Monk Boy's avatar

“Weekend at Mitch’s” is funny until you remember this is how a dying empire handles power: no proof, no accountability, just three Republicans swearing they had a lovely twenty-minute chat with the hospital fog machine. Meanwhile Trump waddles into NATO, whines that nobody helped with his don’t-call-it-a-war war, threatens Greenland like a drunk pirate with dementia, insults allies, then falls asleep in public while Belgium does his YMCA jerk-dance over America’s World Cup corpse. This is not leadership. It is a nursing home coup with international roaming charges.

rlritt's avatar

Get used to it. He'll stay in power until he dies. The Republican Congress will probably cancel or figure out how to fix it so he gets a 3rd term.

Eva's avatar

I am so tired of this fucking idiot

Steve in SoCal's avatar

I thought it was just me 😉

Kim Steeves's avatar

Which fucking idiot? Mitch or donOLD?

Lisa Bieber's avatar

I need clarification on Mitch's condition so at the proper moment I can burst into song. I'm working on a version of Ding Dong the Mitch is Dead.

HI2thDoc's avatar

LBJ was reportedly also fond of showing off his enormous Johnson

Susan Niemann's avatar

I don’t know if I should laugh or cry at the thought of that! 🤣

HI2thDoc's avatar

It's true. He used his, ahem, impressive attribute to intimidate others, hopefully men

Dave Drell's avatar

Oh god- ya know these Presidents admiring their schlongs- truly repulsive.

Steve in SoCal's avatar

Throw up in your mouth a little maybe?

Natalia Lincoln's avatar

You just don’t get enormous Johnsons in high places anymore. Look at us now, with Wholly Inadequate Mike and Dim Don the Button Mushroom.

Bethie U's avatar

Yes it's true. I went to the Iceland Phallological Museum in Reykjavik. There's a whole wall devoted to LBJ. Raucous stories. I took pictures. I'm thinking that's where the euphemism Johnson originates.

Steve in SoCal's avatar
