My hometown has indeed dealt with racial turnmoil and has worked extremely hard over the last several decades to focus on racial justice, devoting significant resources to eliminate racial disparities. It was also the first place in the nation with public schools and libraries, is home to some of the world's finest universities, is in the state that was the first to legalize gay marriage, is the most highly educated state with the 2nd highest per capita income and of course, is home to winning sports teams.

Perhaps don't tar an entire city with that kind of glib trope?

Read the novel: Small Mercies by Denis Lehane - its about Boston in the 70’s when they had to integrate school . My favorite book from 2023.
