The success of the Biden administration will never be told to the American people by the American press because it is not to their financial advantage to do so. The republican party owns most entities that make up cable news, radio, social media, and the print media, half of which are out and out fascist and the other half is scared to death of being labeled liberal. These assholes are never going to help or in any way benefit the Democratic party because as criminal associates of the Republicans, there is no profit, $$$$$$, for them to do so.

I heard this week the price of groceries has gone up 40% since 2019,costing a family of 4 an extra $1,000 a month, that's just pure corporate greed and price gouging. One result of trying to make Americans fight each other is we might lose sight of who the real enemies are,the greedy corporate monopolies who completely control the supply and demand of everything thing we need, and now all the 'tech bros' are on a PR campaign to enable AI to eliminate even more American jobs,so they can provide record profits for shareholders.

I think that the Biden administration has another problem hitting from within the party that could jeopardize his reelection and that is with transparency about the Isreal/Hamas and Ukraine/Russia wars.

If he thinks that Americans, especially the ones invested in these wars, don't need to know anything about talks between him and the leaders of those countries, he is making a critical mistake and it could cost him the election in November. And then we will all be screwed if either one of those two other bozos get elected instead.

It was a topic of discussion at the Round Table with Martha Raditz this morning and from personal experience. I hear nothing about these conflicts on the news. Not like we did during the Iraq War. They need to quit worrying about scaring people and more about informing us. trump did the same thing, especially with COVID until it was knocking on our front doors.

There are too many closed door meetings with the president and his advisors and watered down info coming back to us. I have seen him avoid direct questions in regards to both conflicts and used them as a stump speech during the SOTU. the newspapers are useless and many people, including myself and my husband can't afford cable since there has been no more funding for the ACP since it's conception. The rubes fault for that.

I would love to see him more frequently, giving updates on what is going on in Ukraine and Israel/Gaza. I am still voting for him, no doubt. There are Democrats that feel like I do and are not sure if they will vote at all. We need everyone to vote.

Thanks for your reply Donna. Quite frankly i hear too much war news and feel that we are in the very best of hands with Joe Biden and i really do not have any qualms with him informing the American public to that degree that still keeps us safe and informed to the degree we need to be informed. i would never say this about bush, trump or any other republican president..

Absolutely,Hoyt ,Joe can’t allow confidential information about negotiations and strategies to be made public! His job is to use his position as President to make the best possible decisions and deals with the information provided to him by all U.S. intelligence agencies,he has decades of experience doing that, far more than anyone else in government has ever been known to have. 50 plus years in national offices is nothing to sneeze at!Hoyt is totally correct it’s a need to know situation.

Trumps secret weapon in Israel is doing his damnedest to ensure trumps election. The Netanyahu problem is one that President Biden has finally been forced to deal with. If reports are correct, the die was cast because of the overwhelming number of deaths of aid workers in Gaza at Netanyahu’s hands. The American public is also getting tired of Israel’s stance and is moving toward equity in judging the war.

Unlike many Western countries, Israel has maintained relations with the Kremlin, refused to impose sanctions against Russia, and rejected calls to send defensive weaponry to Ukraine. This policy is of course exactly what trump and Netanyahu believe will bring each of them greater power in moving toward full authoritarian governments. Both men are currently under criminal indictment.

That's Nazi stuff, and that's dictator stuff. Pretty sure the American people aren't going to let the Israelis commit war crimes using US weapons. Did anyone else notice when Israel targeted the aid convoy, they claimed maybe ONE Hamas terrorist was firing at them?? Seriously?? You unleash 3 different smart bombs, because ONE FUCKING GUY might be shooting at you with a AK-47?? And that's a reasonable threat response?? The trick for Biden is to separate criticism of Netanyahu from criticism of Israel. He's caught between AIPAC and a growing anti-Israel sentiment, especially among our youth and Muslim-Americans. I have a good friend who is Palestinian, and she is so incensed that Biden kowtows to Israel that she will not vote for him come November. And she's a liberal.

What I find so infuriating is that we do NOT dictate to Israel how to run/manage this war. We can advise, but that is where it ends. Can you imagine another country insisting that we follow a certain policy that is contrary to what we want to do? And another thing, it seems that what Hamas has done repeatedly to Israel gets lost in the plight of the “poor Palestinians.” People should read the full history of what has transpired over the years.

Thanks for the link. I agree with much of what that person says, but I have a somewhat different take on the origins of all this. After the holocaust the need for a Jewish state was more than evident, and the Zionist movement worked to establish one. The trouble was that the land had been occupied by generations of Palestinians. When European Jews flooded into the area, at least two terrorist groups were formed to rid the land of the people who lived there. The Irgun was one (I forget the name of the other). They attacked villages and drove the people, mostly shepherds and farmers, out and pushed them elsewhere. That is why the Palestinians refer to this as the "catastrophe.' I think that they were foolish to reject the offer of their own state, frankly, but what they wanted was to get their land back. Everything that has happened since flowed from those events. Anyway, that's how I understand it.

Also, although the federal government does not require an approved ID (does not include a student ID) and last four digits of social security number to register to vote, the state legislature passed a law, approved by GOP governor, that residents need to provide this info to vote for state-wide and local offices.

Have you ever watched the movie Annabelle? When the girl that had polio was outside in her wheelchair and something pushed her into the barn and dumped her onto the floor? Greg Abbott likes to go to the Rio Grande. Maybe he needs a closer look. 🤷‍♀️

Expand full comment

Oh, and do you know how he got his start at being rich? He sued the people who put him in the wheelchair.

Then when he became governor, he capped the amount with which juries can award victims monetarily for malpractice, etc.

I read an article on it in one of the Texas magazines a long time ago. A lady who was misdiagnosed with cancer, went thru chemo, radiation etc, then was told she never had cancer to begin with.

But her body was so messed up from the chemo and radiation and drugs, that she now had to take meds for all kinds of issues. She was very sick.

She sued and the jury awarded her enough to pay her medical bills, pay for her current meds and treatment and live comfortably. But thanks to Abbott, she the award was reduced down to where she didn’t have enough to pay off the medical bills for the cancer she never even had. She was righteously upset.

I wish I had saved that article so I could quote it by name, for proof. If anyone else has read it and remembers, please let me know so I can credit them.

I may misremembering some of the details about her diagnosis or whatnot, but I do remember the basics of her being misdiagnosed with cancer and the treatment making her sick etc.

This is an article about how he won his money and how he worked to cap it for everyone else. He claimed anyone would have the same rights as he did to sue if they got hurt, but they’d never receive what he did, which was $5.8 million at the time of this article in 2013, with payment to continue until he dies.

No one else would ever be able to recoup costs like that no matter what was done to them. At least as I remember from the article I read before. This isn’t it. Wish I could find it.

The monsters have had too much of a free ride. There may be a way to hurt them. Finally. I just watched "Scoop" on Netflix about the Prince Andrew scandal born of his friendship with pimp and pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.

Yesterday, Trump raised 50M thanks to Palm Beach, Florida billionaire John Paulson hosting an event there.

A thought: The press needs to take advantage of the timing and triangulate 1) the ick-factor revealed in the Netflix's "Scoop" dramatization about the Epstein's vile crimes and cover-up 2) the upcoming NY criminal trial of Trump's porn star sex cover up to interfere with the 2016 presidential election and 3) Trump's on Ghislaine Maxwell's list of Epstein's clients. Given #3, journalists need to "Scoop" deeper on Trump's possible sex with underage girls. One came forward then retreated for fear for her life.

https://www.courthousenews.com/rape-allegations-refiled-against-trump/

In summary, tell the John Paulson party goers that supporting Trump is no different than supporting Epstein. And like Prince Andrew, that proximity is enough to destroy their reputations. Questions like, "How could you continue supporting Trump if you knew he was on Epstein's list and there were innocent girls coming forward implicating Trump?"

You can shrug off a lot, but pedophile rapist is a great way to make the big donors run for the hills. Hopefully, the media has it in them to find that story, link the other stories in the news and finally find the shame, the rock bottom - that thing that makes the devil himself too toxic to touch.
