the good news is tomorrow's post is already half written

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

good news for me, anyway

DR JAGC's avatar

See my comment below. He did meet with JD

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

oops, I accidentally deleted my own comment, which was something to the effect of I STAND BY MY INACCURATE REPORTING

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

Pfft. Inaccurate my ass. You are about as on par , or more so, than I am. I keep rage breaking my keyboards so some of the shit gets lost in translation.

arne link's avatar

I feel ya, Wendy. God only knows how many JoJo from Jersey breaks.

Suzeebee's avatar

I have been wondering what JD “man of the people” is hoping his kids do as adults since he thinks higher learning is the devil despite his elite and privileged education. Maybe all those Amuuhrican factories will be built in 15 years or so and they can work for the robots building cars together? I bet he and Usha are dreaming of that for their progeny. I am sure they don’t long to send their children to Ivies. Such a lying hypocrite.

Carol JLH's avatar

Suzeebee, and even worse, Vance and Usha are trying to create a country where their non-white, children will be second or third class citizens.

Marie Drozdis's avatar

Well, why not, since Elon wants to build his own sperm-nation of lily-white children. Does he ever donate anything to the common good?

Linda Weide's avatar

Here was a piece on Musk and his children, who is so sick and disgusting I read it with a sick feeling in my stomach.

https://www.muskwatch.com/p/the-week-in-musk-musks-legion-of?r=f0qfn&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false

I have to say I really like the sign we see in the DC protest where the sign says, "It is not red vs blue, it is billionaires vs. me and you." Absolutely!

Linda Weide's avatar

As I have been saying, JDV is a terrible parent and spouse because he is helping to create a country in which his children are not safe in their own skins.

George in Atlanta's avatar

Usha looks like a hostage. Is she okay?

Hannah's avatar

Yeah, but I think the Vance family thinks it's white. They're white adjacent.

George in Atlanta's avatar

I'm a Cracker (it's really an ethnic designation, not just an epithet). We are the flatland cousins of hillbillies. Scots-Irish immigrants from way back in the day that fanned out across the southern continent. You think we're all lily-white? Like entirely European? Pah. There were people already here when we 'settled', you don't think people may have thought some of those other people were a little cute? My own grandmother would cite great authority that we were descended directly from Pocahontas her own self, to try and justify it all somehow with her cognitive dissonance. The old girl talked a lot of other shit, too.

I'm 99% sure that JDV and Usha get plenty of shade from inside that wonderful trailer-trash clan of theirs. That's good, they deserve it. Their children don't.

Linda Weide's avatar

Since JDV supports Musk's idea of destroying US universities and letting other countries educate people so they can be hired in the US as H-1B visa employees, perhaps JDV and Usha are planning on sending their children to Uni in India. I hope for their children's sakes that they do get away from their creepy parents.

Suzeebee's avatar

That’s an interesting idea— makes sense— but I think these hypocrites covet the pedigree and privilege of an Ivy League education for their children and certainly don’t want them doing manual labor in the trenches.

Linda Weide's avatar

When I taught in the Dominican Republic, the elite on the island sent their children abroad to be educated. I would not let any of these children into my uni if I were a US uni that they have mistreated.

It was like during Covid when parents at home were in awe of their children's teachers, and then suddenly, because White Nationalists could Zoom in on the classroom and see what was being taught, they vilified teachers, school, education etc... and now their bible The Mandate for Leadership has written a chapter for destroying American education.

So, I would not be too sure that they won't implode the system. I have suggested that Harvard take their 50 bil endowment and move to Canada or Scotland or something. That would show Trump that he cannot just dump on them. Of course, now he is walking it back.

Also, all degrees that these hypocrites have from these unis should be rescinded for lack of living up to moral character of the uni and devaluing the worth of a degree from them.

Carole Rose's avatar

Big ole belly laugh! Jeff, I so needed this. Your writing is a high point of my day, every day! Thank you, thank you!

Rhoda Ozen's avatar

Where are alllll of the rest of the comments?

Stranger Than Friction's avatar

From the link you cited: '"The meeting, which lasted a few minutes, gave them the opportunity to exchange Easter greetings," the office said.'

That's probably after the compassion lecture the VP endured from one of the Pope's many assistant cardinals, and I bet Vance hung around, refusing to leave, before he got his "audience" with the Pope. Which lasted a few minutes. Vance got his photo op. Nowhere does it say Vance kissed the ring, stole the ring, or got a blessing from the Pope for his work as VP. There was no luncheon, there was no extended meeting. Jeff should stand by his post!

I had to laugh about the Pope chastising CouchSodomizer McGee about charity & tolerance. Organized Christian religions, especially those in America, have some truly bizarre blind spots. They preach hope & goodwill towards others, and in the same paragraph condemn pregnant women to death becuz every fetus is sacred. So be nice to your underprivileged neighbor, but let's murder women Becuz We Can! Boy will they have some 'splainin' to do at the Pearly Gates. Organized religion, especially the western ones are all about the care and self-enrichment of their patriarchal leadership. That leadership doesn't give a hoot about the well being of their flocks, they want to cash to keep rolling in, and that happens because American's believe, we believe! Then fork over money and enable those leaders by voting for pols that want to bring back the Spanish inquisition.

Lady Emsworth's avatar

You were nearly right, Jeff. He DID have a conversation with a cardinal, which lasted a while - but the Pope only spoke to him to "exchange Easter greetings" - not to tell him how lucky he was to work for trump, when he only gets to work for God.

DR JAGC's avatar

He still met with him which is shameful enough. JD said stupid shit as could be predicted like "Good to see you" and "bless you".

Lady Emsworth's avatar

"Bless you" - I just think that's hysterical! I thought it was supposed to be the other way round? Maybe Vance sussed he wasn't going to get one?

SeekingReason's avatar

I agree. Meeting with a tyrant at all never looks good. If he walked past Vance and flipped him the bird, that would have been a headline with a multi billion number of people following.

Linda Weide's avatar

Thanks for that hilarious pic of JDV. Of course the one with Trump, his women and the Pontiff is pretty awesome too.

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

while I was writing this post, Donny put up his actual Easter message, and of course it cranks the batshit way past eleven.

https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114370361342759621

Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country. Happy Easter also to the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials who are allowing this sinister attack on our Nation to continue, an attack so violent that it will never be forgotten! Sleepy Joe Biden purposefully allowed Millions of CRIMINALS to enter our Country, totally unvetted and unchecked, through an Open Borders Policy that will go down in history as the single most calamitous act ever perpetrated upon America. He was, by far, our WORST and most Incompetent President, a man who had absolutely no idea what he was doing -- But to him, and to the person that ran and manipulated the Auto Pen (perhaps our REAL President!), and to all of the people who CHEATED in the 2020 Presidential Election in order to get this highly destructive Moron Elected, I wish you, with great love, sincerity, and affection, a very Happy Easter!!!

Anne's avatar

Connie Schultz wrote today that her mom always said “Being a Christian means fixing yourself and helping others, not the other way around.” Felon-in-chief needs to learn that.

"great love, sincerity and affection" - there is none of that in that post.

Bob Bowden's avatar

“great love, sincerity and affection" - there is none of that in that post.”

… because there’s none of that in the man who wrote it.

Carthago Delenda Est's avatar

The only issue with that is that the Orange Shitstain ain't a Christian. I don't know what religion he is, other than he worships himself, but a Christian he is not.

Anne's avatar

he self-identifies as a Christian. Christians say he's a Christian. Yeah, he seems to be a really bad one but .... can't go with the "no true Scotsman" thing here.

Mary Hall's avatar

JFC on a skateboard! My religiously insane mother sends out a Xmas letter every year full of fire and brimstone about how you’re going to burn it hell if you don’t do what she says and always ends with “Have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!”

arne link's avatar

Oh, Honey. I'm sorry. That's a difficult thing to bear. Why are people like that?

Mary Hall's avatar

Thank you. She's a narcissist which is likely the result of a shitty childhood. Her father was abusive and abandoned his family of seven kids on a farm in Montana in the 1940s before there was any welfare, so it was a very hard life. They had no indoor plumbing or electricity until she left for college at 18, where she met my dad (RIP). On the advice of my therapist, we no longer have a relationship. It's not how I wanted things to be, but I could write an entire book on the horrible shit she has done while hiding behind her religion. I understand that her narcissistic behavior is a coping mechanism she developed to survive, and I have compassion because she is mentally ill, but she's also someone who has actively tried to ruin my life, so she is not welcome in it.

My New Year's resolution for the last decade or more has been to keep fidiots and jerkholes out of my life. It works great and I recommend it for everyone!

Denise Donaldson's avatar

That's a really sad situation, Mary, but I'm sure you did the right thing. You're better off, I have no doubt.

In my family, it was my brother, who was a misogynist and adulterer, but who got born again and began to preach fire and brimstone at me when he'd call. I just kept hanging up on him, and finally, he learned that if he wanted a relationship with me, he'd leave all that crap aside. He's done pretty well with that over the last 25 years, though he continues to be a hypocrite in some ways and, yes, hides behind his religion.

arne link's avatar

Wow. I never read his screeds, but he is, indeed, batshit crazy. I hope America survives its mad king. I'm so afraid that he's going to nuke someone just to show that he's a big boy.

Denise Donaldson's avatar

One of my fears, too, arne. Do you think the military---specifically, the ones ordered to fire the missiles---would go through with it?

Hannah's avatar

I do. Not that you asked me.

The military will follow orders , I fear.

Denise Donaldson's avatar

I appreciate your opinion, Hannah. I hark back to the Soviet ship captain during the Missile Crisis who was supposed to automatically take aggressive action during the blockade, but thought better of it, delayed his action, and perhaps saved the world.

Do we have anyone like that on our side now? Do we have service men and women who would consider the source and hit "pause" instead of firing missiles?

Hannah's avatar

This is my thinking. Fox news plays nonstop for the enlisted. The officers will be migrated to be loyal to the king or face losing rank, or worse.

They are moving much faster than I expected, and I fear that there won't be any thinking people left in the military.

I hope I am wrong.

Denise Donaldson's avatar

Really good point about Fox and the enlisteds, Hannah. Brainwashing, no doubt.

I don't know how many individuals comprise the officer corps, so I don't know how likely it is that it can be manipulated. We know that the very top brass are orange loyalists, but not sure about the ranks under them. We've seen that the Dumpster has zero respect for the military, and makes that well known. Also, I'm sure the massive VA cuts aren't popular.

And how scary is it that we can't be sure how it would go???

Linda McCaughey's avatar

Just--wow. One thing Donny really is the best at: He's the undisputed best at being the absolute worst human who has ever lived.

Rick Khamsi's avatar

That's covering a lot of historical territory. Consider the other horrible people in the running for the title of "worst human who has ever lived." Let me suggest other nominees for that position: Hitler and his crew, Stalin and his crew, Genghis Khan, Tamerlane, Vlad the Impaler, Pol Pot... and the list goes on. DJT is a monster, but I'm not sure in the long history of human depravity he will be judged a winner in that competition. In other word, I believe he will be judged a loser in even that category of human endeavor.

PJ Schuster's avatar

So disgusting, but par for the course for Donny Boy.

Lisa's avatar

How does the GOP not see that he’s insane!!? Holy shite!

Mary Hall's avatar

Because they, too, are insane. Truly crazy people think they are just fine but everyone else is nutz. Believe me, I know from personal experience. It runs in my family.

Hannah's avatar

Yeah, about that. I am truly sorry for your shitty childhood. I was raised by two narcissists, so I can relate.

Denise Donaldson's avatar

They do see it, at least in the case of elected officials. They make it work for them.

MARY's avatar

They have no problem keeping a demented sociopath in the Oval Office as it opens up wonderful avenues for increasing personal wealth and power

Steve Kelly's avatar

What an irrelevant piece of shit is he….

QRK's avatar

I hope when he dies that someone tosses a picture of Biden, and maybe Obama, into the casket before it is closed! Can you imagine what that would do to his sole?

I also am curious if Trump wasn’t feeling well in his photo with the Pope, because he uncharacteristically failed to do his habitual thumbs up. 🤔

Suzn Sez's avatar

I can't recall another Trump photo without his little thumb poking up...

longtimebirdwatcher's avatar

Are you sure it wasn't "May the Easter Bunny bring you lower egg prices."

Suzn Sez's avatar

If I had money to waste it on worthless crap, I still wouldn't join a slum like Truth Social to tell Trumpelthinskin that given the choice, I'd far prefer to keep the immigrant with no criminal record in the U.S. and deport the adjudicated rapist with 34 felonies on his criminal record to a nightmare prison in El Salvador. I feel highly confident that many millions would enthusiastically agree.

Susan Niemann's avatar

This did the trick. Grateful for your wit and this smart community of good people! ✌️

Lady Emsworth's avatar

Now, you may be thinking that the idea of the pope having a "sock drawer" is funny - but last time I was in Rome, we came across a small shop down a side street that sold NOTHING but clothes for the Roman Catholic clergy! And boy, are the Italian clergy stylish! I couldn't believe what I was seeing - beautifully made silk birettas and zucchettos, black Armani suits , sweaters that looked like they'd been knitted by angels, cassocks, albs and stoles with silk and gold embroidery - and a fine selection of cashmere socks in black, green red and a pair in purple so GORGEOUS I nearly went in and bought them myself. . .

The Pope always wears that long cassock - next time he's on TV, I'll try to get a peek at his socks. . .

arne link's avatar

I am just puzzled by his 45% approval rating. Who are they polling? Did my first protest yesterday. It was only 400 but we were there and that's the main thing.

Susanna J. Sturgis's avatar

Even allowing for the usual "honeymoon period" at the start of a presidential term, Trump's approval rating should be in single digits, or at least in the low teens. Why isn't it? Because many millions of Americans are buying what Trump is selling: racism, misogyny, and fear and/or hatred of anyone different from them. Some of them are just now beginning to realize that it's going to cost them in oh so many ways. "This isn't what we voted for!" they'll cry. And we'll reply "Oh, yes it is. The 'fine print' was in big neon letters but you didn't read it, did you."

Judy Luchsinger's avatar

Two out of four of my highly intelligent adult children are trumpers. I could not understand why until spending some time in their homes I saw that they only watch Fox News. They do not get real facts and information, otherwise the orange one's numbers would be down to single digits, I believe.

MARY's avatar

The hasn't yet been enough devastating personal loss to those individuals. It will come, but when they turn can never be truly trusted

Victoria Wilson's avatar

Yeah,I am with you on the polling.Who IS ok with what is going on? I was always poll-skeptical.

Denise Donaldson's avatar

It depends on the poll demographics, the vehicle for the poll (phone call, text, email, etc.), and the wording of the questions. If you asked someone what they think of the Felon's immigration policies in general, you'd likely get a different answer than if you asked what that person thinks of snatching Abrego Garcia without due process.

In other words, a poll can be manipulated to produce any desired results, and every poll is inherently biased.

Rick Calegari's avatar

Same here. Sounds like the usual embellished media bullshit. I would really enjoy seeing what those polling numbers really are if they started polling folks like us on this site.

Linda McCaughey's avatar

I remember seeing a photo of two people holding protest signs somewhere in Alaska years ago. They were smiling and waving and generally having a terrific time because they were passionate about standing up for a cause they believed in. Standing in the wilderness at a crossroads on a blacktop road in the snow. Only two people. They truly inspired me and who knows how many others? "Only 400", you say? Think how many more they inspired just because they were there!!! Keep on keepin' on, brother!

Walt Svirsky's avatar

Arne, if there is anything I have learned from the madness of the last 10 years, it’s “don’t give one scintilla of attention to those fucking polls.” They are consistently manipulated in too many ways to earn our consideration.

Marlene Lerner-Bigley (CA)'s avatar

Arne, they sure as hell aren’t polling us!

Dave Drell's avatar

If they polled us- their hair would be on fire, and they would have nightmares for weeks!

Mary Hall's avatar

I hope that you had a good experience and met some nice people.

arne link's avatar

It was a good experience. We only had four Trump truckers who drove round and round the block smogging us. We smiled and waved. A police car rolled by now and then but it was all good.

KiminMN's avatar

When that happened, everyone in the crowd started yelling 'Smells Like Trump'!

Deborah Hunter's avatar

Nixon had a 39% approval rating when he left office. There's always morons somewhere.

Neal Stiffelman's avatar

Vance describes hisself as a “baby Catholic”. Nah, bro. You’re just a shit wearing whatever costume you imagine might help you with the grift.

Lady Emsworth's avatar

Vance: "Oh, I'm so new to this! Oh, I'm just a baby Catholic! So cute and funny - I just don't know when to stand up or sit down, which way to swing a censer or crucify an immigrant! Aren't I a silly boy!"

Lady Emsworth's avatar

Vance did meet the Pope for a few minutes this morning, according to the Vatican they met "To exchange Easter Greetings."

The Pope said to Vance "I wish you a happy and blessed Easter. Christ is risen!"

And Vance replied "Trump's poll numbers are up again! Highest ever!"

Dave Drell's avatar

The Pope, not understanding “poll numbers” prob thought “Good to hear more Polish people are going to Church”

Lady Emsworth's avatar

The Poles are up!

Great!

See them in church!

Denise Donaldson's avatar

"...the worst COMPLETELY UNREPENTANT sinner he's ever had to stand next to."

Carthago Delenda Est's avatar

Orange is a sinner of such magnitude that I'm surprised the Pope didn't burst into flames.

Alison Parker's avatar

I feel like Vance is the new Ted Cruz of the GOP. Everyone in the party hates the shit out of him and can't stand to be around him, but they pretend to like him for the sake of the façade of solidarity. In actuality, if any of them came upon Vance drowning in a rushing river, not only would they NOT throw him a rope, they'd pull out their phones to film it and post it on TikTok using the chorus from "Help!" as the sound.

Steve Kelly's avatar

Facade of solidarity….good observation.

Dave Drell's avatar

Liking that imagery, Alison! 🐸

Dana Jae Labrecque's avatar

Same! I actually saw it happening in my mind!

Deborah Hunter's avatar

Cruz isn't that hated or he wouldn't keep winning elections.

Alison Parker's avatar

He is definitely hated by the other members of his party. And him winning elections has nothing to do with how people feel about him. He has an R by his name, and in Texas, that's often all that matters.

Carthago Delenda Est's avatar

His peers hate him, not the voters (unfortunately).

DR JAGC's avatar

Jeff The Pope actually did meet JD et al. It was on the news this morning. Couchfuck stupidly said “good to see you” when greeting the Pope and then followed it up with “bless you”. Can’t make this shit up but it happened.

Joan Eisenstodt's avatar

Does the WH no longer have a Protocol Officer who coached JD on what to say? JD is a Catholic convert who must’ve been taught something of what was appropriate.

J Glaspie's avatar

NOT. What do they care about protocol? Don't you remember the king--I mean 'rump--walking in front of Queen Elizabeth? and entering the White House ahead of his dumbstruck wife following his first inauguration? Oh, if we could turn back time.

longtimebirdwatcher's avatar

I remember him running (!) into the White House ahead of his wife and the Obamas. He looked like a real fool.

Who all can “meet the Pope” like this? Hilarious!

The WH needs to stop announcing his visits, telling us afterwards: Oh, he did well at the US Base in Greenland, and Oh, BTW, he went to the Vatican and saw the Pope on Easter and ...

Douglas Paul Truhlar's avatar

The pope should say ‘go pray like your going to hell tomorrow and I know’. Then the finger.

Claudia Classon's avatar

Thanks, Jeff! It was just enough of a rant to keep us sane. Amazing, isn’t it, that Trump can’t even wish his Christofascist followers a Happy Easter? It’s all about him. No wonder the Pope snubbed his “emissary.”

Mary Hall's avatar

Couple of things: The word “fuck” is the most versatile word evah; and yesterday was the 250th anniversary of the battles at Lexington and Concord that kicked off the American Revolution. According to some folks I’ve heard the planets are aligned like they were 250 years ago.

There were >400 people at my small town’s protest yesterday and the drivers passing by were 90% supporters. Lots of great signs (all spelled correctly) and so many wonderful people. I had a blast!

Denise Donaldson's avatar

I was thinking about that anniversary on Friday, too, Mary.

An event that changed the world, the calling forth of the resistance.

Your comment about the alignment intrigues me. It makes sense to me that such synchronicity would be in play (sorry if that sounds mystical fu-fu). Do you have any further info on that? I'd be very interested to see it. From the little I've read, this is supposed to be a time of consciousness raising and reckoning with personal philosophies. Looks as if that just might be happening, at least for the non-cult members.

Mary Hall's avatar

Yes, we are in the Age of Aquarius! Here's an article about 2025 from an astrological perspective --https://www.astrologyfromthesoul.com/post/2025-the-year-of-a-new-dawn-and-grand-finale-the-astrological-significance-and-how-to-prepare-gif. Some astrologers I have run across on TikTok have been saying that it's just like it was in 1775, but I don't remember who they are. Suffice it to say that we are living in "interesting times" and most of them think it's going to be a bumpy ride but will end well.

Denise Donaldson's avatar

Thanks for the link, Mary. I haven't seen that site before, so I'll check it out.

Yes, by definition, as we're in the Age of Aquarius, the thinking is that it will all come right in the end. But yeah, it could take generations for that to happen (possibly over 2,000 years, I've read).

Have you by chance read the book, "Imajica," by Clive Barker? If not, you might find it a really interesting story.

Mary Hall's avatar

I have not read that book, but thanks for the recommendation.

Denise Donaldson's avatar

If you do start to read it, and it seems over the top, I'd urge you to keep going, because IMO, it's worth it.

Somebody handed Diaper Don his approval poll upside down if he thinks his numbers are up. He's an example of all that's wrong with people all rolled up in fake hair, man boobs, orange paint and an anus for a mouth.

Happy Easter Jeff!!

I don’t even believe that Trump won the election at all, he’s a master cheater and no doubt there was serious corruption involved! Trump never matured from the 2 year old stage and cannot accept losing! He’s a serious danger to this country just look how he lied to get elected and once in has completely turned away from all his so called “promises” he lied his head off and his voters believed him. Then there are voters who admire him for his money even how he cheated to get it. Worse are the Billionaires who can never be satisfied who want our Social Security for themselves! Billions of dollars just aren’t enough for these despicable people. They don’t care that thousands will die without Social Security or become homeless. Just exactly what kind of Country have we turned into that could have elected such a cruel, vindictive man?Why do we have a demented old man in the White House that we must IMPEACH!

Denise Donaldson's avatar

I share your non-belief, Suzy. We have a demented old man in the White House because Elmo has hackers and was willing to use them to co-opt the Oval Office.

He's a serious danger to Humanity

Jeff, you still got in the Vice President Dildo Baggins comment. 🥳😂🤭

Happy Easter! I was raised Catholic, complete with my entire educational experience from first grade through high school and college (w/the Jesuits!). I chose to move on and explore my spiritual beliefs outside of the Church, but I can tell you this: “Catholics” like JDV and the execrable Newt Gingrich are not true Catholics. They have no idea how Catholicism works (especially Gingrich-a walking embodiment of the “convenient Catholic”).

All those rich kid phonies like Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, Alito, etc. might be lifelong members, but they too, are phonies and pretenders - the type who focus on abortion and homosexuality, and everything else Jesus did NOT focus on and who ignore the actual core teachings to “remember the least among us”. They are phonies and are the absolute worst among us! I can imagine their surprise when the gates they arrive at end up not being Pearly!

PS. Coney Barrett may end up being a surprise follower of those core teachings, we will see.

I’m trying to come up with a snarky Happy Easter post for my trumper sister who is in her right-wing church this morning.; something about reading the sermon on the mount and Jesus and the money changers.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Such is the depth of your sister's blindness that she doesn't see that the tRump family, Vontz, and all the associated cabinet members and even dimbulb M Traitor Greene are the current equivalent of the money changers, what with their market manipulation and insider trading.

Rick Calegari's avatar

It gets even better. Today, Don Winslow reported a post made by Sen. Chris Murphy on April 9. He said that Dump is running a backdoor bribery scheme in which any CEO or foreign oligarchs can send him money secretly through his crypto coin scam in exchange for favors. Nothing to see here right Pam Bondi?

HI2thDoc's avatar

Right now Barr is happy because Bondi has supplanted him as the most corrupt AG ever. She should be disbarred. What an embarrassment to the legal profession, and that's saying a whole lot, considering the MAGA idiots (Rudy Colludy, Eastman, Ellis, Powell, et al), who were suspended or lost their licenses

Ole Anderson's avatar

Amen. We had to suffer that brainless twink for years here in Florida. I had hoped she would fade back into well deserved obscurity after one term here but the shit stain just had to take her vapid Bullshit to the nation at large and spread the stupid around the entire country.

Destroying any integrity at DOJ for the foreseeable future. She is no better than the hack lawyers from the top law firms who submitted to the threats by Lard Ass and are working pro bono for him trying to get the $100+ million dollar judgement awarded E. Jean Carrol reduced.

Bondi is trumps lawyer, not the nations.

HI2thDoc's avatar

She's nothing but an attack dog. The law, ethics, probity mean nothing. She uses the DOJ to attack his opponents, not to uphold the Constitution.

Jodi Richard's avatar

There’s a great meme out there with Jesus holding a maga hat and saying “Judas, you dropped your hat” Maybe you could send her that?

Cassandra Here's avatar

I think I’ve seen that. I’ll look.

Anne's avatar

Connie Schultz wrote today that her mom always said “Being a Christian means fixing yourself and helping others, not the other way around.” Maybe tell your sister that? ok, not snarky.

HI2thDoc's avatar

We have a saying in Hawaii about the Xtian missionaries that came here. Their descendants became the wealthy upper crust through real estate dealings after convincing the monarchy to privatize land holdings (previously the kingdom owned everything.) "They came to do good and did well instead."

Ole Anderson's avatar

When the missionaries came to Hawaii they had the word and the Hawaiians had the land.

Now it’s the other way around.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Sad but true. Oh so true.

Cassandra Here's avatar

I ended up using portions of John Pavolitz’s Substack. Not snarky, sad.

Anne's avatar

I hope something gets through to her. It's all sad.

I ‘not religious that way’ but respect the sermon and agree that evil is easy to see, they run they hide but they are evil haters and aren’t the markets just money changers? Also magats are neither Christian nor gop. They are magats it’s in no way Christian in nature ‘hate thy neighbor’?
