The worst thing about Howard Lutnick' heartless responses is that he should be bowing down & thanking whatever gods there are that he's still alive!

On Sept 11, 2001, American Airlines flight 175 crashed into 2 World Trade Center, & all 658 employees of Cantorfitzgerald, where Lutnick was President, were killed, including his brother Gary! The only reason Howard Lutnick wasn't in the office that day is because he had taken his son to Kindergarten.

Most of us, having survived that fiery death, would have made a promise to live a better life in service to our fellow man. But no - Howard gets his jollies from mocking seniors who depend on Social Security. So much for learning life's lessons.

I’m just about 80. So let me add my 10 year advantage: Nothing compares to the unfolding tragedy Trump is inflicting on us. Everything we grew up with from the FDIC to our global economy came from the hard lessons of world wars and Depression. It came from the robber barons. It came from the depredations inflicted on Blacks well into the 20th century. And Trump is unwinding it all and for what? This one particularly resonates with me because the media this week has been flooded with Republicans doing talking head interviews acknowledging there will be pain, but we'll come out stronger.

But not for any of them, of course. They're all wealthy overpaid congressmen who have no idea what the working class is going through.

And if you think I'm exaggerating, look up the video of the federal employee who got laid off, confronted his congressman and asked why he had to lose his job and was told by said congressman on camera "You probably deserved it . You seem like a clown."

Understand this, folks: The Republicans are now at a point where they no longer care what their constituents think . They're insulting voters to their faces and refusing to do town halls. And when they do decide to show up for a town hall, they end up criticizing the audience for complaining and asking hard questions.

Now, do the mental legwork: Who blatantly and openly gives a middle finger to their voting base and tells them they're okay with those same struggling voters suffering economic hardship so they can pass their agenda?

I'll tell you: People who are not worried about elections. That's what we all need to be paying close attention to, because Trump and the Republicans are revealing that they have no concerns about being voted out. That very likely means they are already aware of a plan to challenge the mid term results as being fraudulent and have Trump throw them out if they don't win and then do the same for the next Presidential election .

Add to that the open push to change the rules so Trump can have a third term, and the very real, very RED flags of an intended fascist dictatorship installing itself in power are right there on display.

What happened in Wisconsin was amazing, but it's not enough to stop this unless we prepare to fight. March, protest, vote against them , don't do business with any company that aligns with them. Form entire communities of resistance online and in person.

Because right now, there's no actual governing. They're just tearing everything down to remake America in Trump's image and it won't matter what your sex race or religion is when that happens, because if you're not with them, at that point the gun wielding thugs in body armor and jackboots will be showing up at your own door. Count on it

There are 340 million people living in the united states and not one person, let alone a team of people is trying to stop him. Inmate P01135809 needs to be stopped.

Cory Booker and the Dems that supported his message without teleprompters during his marathon speaking on the Senate floor certainly made a historical try. Where are the others that stay quiet?

This fiasco is Groundhog Day in steroids as it happened during Trump's first term and the foolish Republicans and Independents showed amnesia by electing him again. When will these people learn? Yet we 49% voters for Harris must pay the steep price.

This is the reason why we MUST organize a nationwide walkout, and be willing to make it last until substantive changes are in place.

It was no surprise seeing the nations that had tariffs put on them basically say they would take their business elsewhere. Way to go, Dementia Donny!

What's so infuriating is that during the lead-up to the election, we all predicted this would happen. I doubt any of us realized it would be this bad and at a lightning pace. I'm taking a small modicum of hope in the fact that Sen Chuck Grassley (!!) has co-sponsored a bill to take the tariff power back from the Convicted Felon.

Well, some believe, perhaps too optimistically, that the Rs are terrified that the oligarchs won't be able to pull this off, so the Grand Orc Party is moving as quickly as possible to keep things going their way and to increase their own personal wealth and power. The chaos and fear/uncertainty/doubt (FUD) are definitely working in their favor right now. Good luck tomorrow, protesters! (International "Hands Off" protest on April 5th)

Sadly even though they will lose big time, I doubt they’ll ever feel the pain most of us in the real world will feel. I happen to have a rather wealthy friend who isn’t even concerned that he lost $19K in the stock market yesterday. Meanwhile I’m terrified to even look at what this sadistic game playing is doing to my pathetic 401K. 🫣

I am fucking tired of ‘there will be temporary hardships’ bullshit🤬 As you said, D.S., the bastards who say this will never suffer hardship; they haven’t a clue what it’s like to live from paycheck to paycheck. Fuck them all to hell 🤬🤬🤬🤬
