The poetic injustice of this all, is that the MAGAs are anti China big time. Project 2025 reads like a manual on anti-Chinese sentiment, and yet, ultimately they will destroy the USA and empower China. Do you think they will notice that they did that? So much for a White Power Nation and Planet.
Hi Linda! Thanks for providing the links to Prof. Snyder's recent essays on Trump's powerlessness to Putin and Xi. I have heard enough. It's all there. In other words, Prof. Snyder explained every phase and what to expect. The current phase is NOT post election; it's pre-catastrophe. The cabinet posts are not accidental dart-throwing selection by an aging narcissist. They are blessed by Putin for the burning to the ground of this country and ending a period or Western Liberal Democracy prosperity and individual freedom.
There is a tiny light in that the Republicans picked Senator Thune and not Scott. But if the Senate does not apprehend what Prof. Snyder is writing, they will not last.
Our democracy was doomed because to combat the forces of invasion via social media and blackmailing and or buying our elected officials, our Democratic leaders continued to defend democracy using the rules of democracy. Harris had to be flawless while Trump was allowed to be lawless. We are about to reap the whirlwind. God help us.

Professor Snyder is a great writer. His books and Substack are excellent examples.
I worry about his future, but then I am worried about the future of many of our pro-democracy politicians and scholars.
