folks, this is three days in a row where I've hit you with posts that were anywhere from 1800 to 2100 words. serious question: are these things getting too long? would you prefer shorter, punchier posts? (the dude who canceled his paid subscription two days ago because of 'too much Claudia' is cordially invited to shut the fuck up. bro, you already used up your quota of lousy opinions)

PEACE, LOVE, RESIST's avatar

I actually think your posts are just the right length. There’s too much to cover every day but I think you hit the high (low) lights. I’m pretty sure everyone here is happy with more words than less.

Norma's avatar

And the photos of the lovely Claudia are a nice palette cleanser 😊

Bonnie Council's avatar

I agree - just the right amount of words. Information is good, it's not your fault all the information these days is so lousy.

And the daily Claudia keeps me sane. Love the older photo - she looked like her mom. I love looking at backgrounds and clothing in older photos - that cool old clothesline thingy. And the dresses!

Joyce's avatar

You could churn out competition for War and Peace, and I'd say--full throttle! Especially because your post would be 1000Xs more interesting!

As for anyone who has an issue with Daily Claudia--a one-way ticket to Fuckoffistan is available.

Tom's avatar

No, they’d not too long. Keep ‘em coming, but take care of yourself.

jordan celso's avatar

No Uncle Jeff, say what needs to be said. I think all of us who read you daily has a decent enough attention span and can make it to the end. You just keep on telling it how it is!

Your posts are a quick read, mixed in with videos, and incredible wit. As I read, I'm surprised I am at the end already. Never too long! Always just right! And please keep sharing Claudia with us!

Krista Allen's avatar

I need my daily dose of Daily Claudias to remind myself that beautiful, loving, warm, and kind people walk and have walked among us. Every picture is like a warm hug. I hope it helps your healing process as well.

P123Sunny's avatar

..and a reminder that intelligence and integrity can coexist!!!

SethTriggs's avatar

The length is just fine to me, because I love all the witticisms and the analysis. And the Daily Claudia adds a lot of joy and is beautiful to see you express the love and reverence for her.

Susan Niemann's avatar

Absolutely not. Write and write some more.

And Fuck that guy 'too much Claudia'.

Tess's avatar

Not too long at all! Your insight and humor (and swearing) into this fucking political world is appreciated. And Claudia wins!

Fred's avatar

No. They’re not too long. And keep the Claudia’s coming. Keeps her memory alive. Those who don’t like it can “you know what”

Susan K.'s avatar

I don’t particularly notice when the posts are longer - every word is so good- and I appreciate the daily Claudia, too - I feel honoured to be part of your process

Lisa Bieber's avatar

No matter how long the post is, I'm always sad when it ends. And Claudia is the icing on our literary cake. The good homemade kind-with real butter and real vanilla. To paraphrase Cake, that guy is not fit to touch the hem of Ms. Spouse's garment.

Dina's avatar

That's how I feel. I'm devouring every word, laughing and raging at the same time, and no matter the length of the article we're suddenly at Claudia Time, which is such a nice way to end it. I'd feel disappointed if the articles were shorter, tbh.

Mike Hammer's avatar

It’s just right, Jeff.

Theresa Carr's avatar

These posts are as long as they need to be to cover what the fucktangle of shitweasels are up to.

Sister Artemis's avatar

I like 'em longish, fwiw. But also, you could shake things up - long post days, short post days, photo-and-screenshot-only days, CRAZYTOWN!

Leigh Hamilton's avatar

More words! More words! (That's my vote).

Keep it coming, pal, they're never too much, but take some breaks! Jeez. Fall is a nice time for travel.

"Rising Fuel Prices Set Off Anger and Protests Around the World"

"From Indonesia to Guatemala to Syria, shortages and price increases are leading to protests and blackouts."

Alright Jeff, I am gonna come clean. From 2024 until 2025, I worked for Flock Safety. (Senior SRE / Devops Stabilization Team - I can prove it when required to do so). I wrote code to stabilize the Falcon, NOVA, and Raven products. So Im going to share some shit with you all, so you are keenly aware of how fucked up it is. Because the minute I found out the things I found out while working there, I TRIED LIKE SPEEDY GONZALES TO GET THE FUCK OUT.

But some of my hacker buds unbolted one Flock camera and the entire surveillance-industrial pull-tab came apart in their hands: 50,200 cars, 1.6 million photographs, twenty-one days, one pole. Flock's response? "The unauthorized removal and tampering of a Flock camera is illegal." Sure. The theft is the pole — not the fifty thousand strangers you photographed en route to the pharmacy. These license-plate lanternflies didn't just build a dragnet. They built a dragnet, sold it to your city council, spent two million lobbying to keep it, and they were all backed by Thiel. These are things you should all know.

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

if it's any consolation to you, I once did some advertising work for Philip Morris. I felt bad about it the whole time, but I needed the money

Kay-El's avatar

I worked in the legal field for years. Were we just doing pro bono work? Were the clients all philanthropists? I wish. While we did good things like The Innocence Project, we had some really fucking awful people/corporations.

Cyndi's avatar

I do something similar. I work for a Wall Street vendor.

I console myself with the fact that I give their money to charity and politicians who want to regulate them!

Rick Illes's avatar

Yeah, but back then cigarettes didn't cause emphysema, or cancer (they claimed). I would have done the same, if it was presented to me.

Tess's avatar

Great post Wendy-Maddow/Elias are to be believed for sure! The land defenders-how sad.

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

As far as me being a Flocker, if you all hate me for this, I understand. I dont have alot of love for myself based on the things I did to try to make that product stable. But what I can tell you is this, you dont have even the slightest clue of how deep that rabbit hole goes.

devourerofpancakes's avatar

We all gotta eat. You showed great courage by leaving. A lot of people wouldn't and didn't. Flock is just a symptom anyway. The sickness is law enforcement and state agencies that want authoritarian power with as little oversight as possible.

Carol C's avatar

In the UK, surveillance cameras and license plate readers have solved lots of crimes over many years, on detective shows, at least. So far, they aren’t rounding up thousands of people to deport. There’s public acceptance of the cameras.

Brother’s new car’s front license plate fell off somewhere. It’s illegal to drive without one. Panic! Should we call a taxi ? The penalty could be a whopping fine, even jail, but maybe just a caution. We chanced driving home with a missing plate. A sign maker produced a new one the next day after getting authorization online from the Ministry of Transport. Cost ten pounds, about 13 dollars.

There are other ways than our ways.

HH Mohr's avatar

I respect your work, no judgement. Aren't you supposed to be on vacation?

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

That depends on how pissed off I am when I get up after phone reading the news, and then decide to build a digest on it.

In the good part, if you read my digests, you will note I try in the last half ot draw away from all the negative bullshit and provide hope.

Lisa Bieber's avatar

I'm guessing it goes straight to hell.

Karen Yaholnitsky's avatar

I wonder if preznit gets turned on by all the protests around the world. Like "Look what I did" The best ever preznit in the history of the world.

Sharyn Loshakoff's avatar

Karen, attention fuels narcissism. I'm sure preznit is rewarded in some way anytime anyone notices him and comments on what he's done. That attention is his award, his confirmation that he is # 1.

Cathy Rady's avatar

what the Orange Menace fails to mention is that it's not just you who's paying more for gas . . . EVERYONE is paying more for gas

so anything you buy, unless it's created entirely from components that are created within walking distance of their purchase point, are going to be more expensive because of the higher gas prices. So that's probably everything except the fruit, vegetables and eggs you're farming in your own backyard. DUH!

As Gomer Pyle said, “Surprise, surprise.” At least I think he did. If he didn’t, I did.

If McConnell croaked and was in rigortortise they would still wheel him in dressed as a turtle. 🐢

PEACE, LOVE, RESIST's avatar

Rigortortise…😂😂😂😂😂

Easterncedar's avatar

Rigortortoise! Chef's kiss! Thanks for that. Can't wait to steal it.

devourerofpancakes's avatar

I actually feel sorry for him. Goddamn you all to hell, you made me feel sorry for McTurtle!

Joyce's avatar

Moscow Mitch sold out the United States. His life ambition was to make life as difficult as possible for other people, while he grew rich. I'm just pissed off that his keepers got him vertical enough that he can continue to vote to harm the people of the United States.

devourerofpancakes's avatar

True. Someone's comment was a reminder that Mitch is enjoying the health care he worked his whole life to prevent the rest of American's from getting.

Bob Bowden's avatar

Mitch is just a shell of his former self.

Susan P Thatcher's avatar

What's being done to Mitch McConnell is exactly what he would have done to someone else. This is karma.

Victoria Wilson's avatar

I’m hoping Karma treats little DonnieFF just like she is treating Moscow Mitch. She is a bitch once she catches up to you.smh

Susan Niemann's avatar

"Senator Turtlehump is wheeled from his terrarium" 😂😂 It IS cruel..but then everything the GOP does is cruel. For a tiny second, I almost felt sorry for McTurtle...then I had a second cup of coffee.

I'm not sure that shutting down the Congress isnt the flex they think it is...because dont the Dem's all go back and tell their constituents WHY they aren't in session? And what are the odds the fucker will demolish the Kennedy Center. It makes me sick.

Claudia's family pictures are just priceless. I love old photos like this! 💙💙

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

I really wish I had more of them, but those are the only two in my possession

Marlene Lerner-Bigley (CA)'s avatar

They’re lovely pics of Claudia and her family. Reminds me of the “good ole days”…sigh.

Jennifer's avatar

Let's not forget, the Kennedy Center is going to be torn down because King Fuckface can't get his name on it. I hate them all so much but I wonder, if/when we're clear of this mess, how long it'll take the new people to clean it up. So many broken parts..

Susan Niemann's avatar

I immediately felt rage when I realized he'll tear it down. Like Cherry Trees. And the Weeping Willows. I hate him SO MUCH.

Cathy Wray's avatar

My hate for trump is ALL CONSUMING!!!

Nahla Ake's avatar

Yeah... sadly, I expect that news alert to come down any day now and it's horrific to even contemplate🥺 I feel sorry for the Kennedy family that has had to watch all of this disgusting abuse of the place, with no power to do anything, even to stop illegal demolition😖 And the congressional Republicans can now quickly escape town and claim they didn't know in any way His Lordship could or would take it down😠

Kristin H.'s avatar

....for the Kennedy family, except RFK Jr. Don't forget he is part of this disgusting abuse of power!

john augustine's avatar

I believe the federal judge will put a stop to any razing of the center and hopefully bring up charges against his sycophants on the board

Rachel C's avatar

Maybe the Kennedy fortune could pay for 24/7 guards to prevent demolition?👹

rlritt's avatar

Ive always believed that he is a bratty toddler in an old man's body. Every toy has to be his. He is the kid who will take a toy away from another kid, and if he cant have it, he'll break it.

He wanted the Kenneddy center so he put his name on it. The adults said no you can't do that. So now he is going to break it. Just like a 5 year old.

Just like he tore down the east wing. The White House is his forever, and he will tear it down if he can't have it.

Lisa Bieber's avatar

Some blue state governor should send National Guard troops to DC to protect it.

Maureen's avatar

I think he’ll definitely put a wrecking ball to it but I don’t understand why anyone would obey this order. What demolition company would be okay with agreeing to destroy the Kennedy Center and why?! I still don’t understand the process that took place with destroying the East Wing. How can anyone be forced to do these gross illegal acts in plain sight, even by the president? What does he threaten them with if they refuse? There’s an entire chain of command here that’s complying, and getting away with it. I’m sincerely curious as to what the process is with all this.

Cyndi's avatar

I'm interested in whether the demolition and construction companies' calculations might change this time because there is ALREADY a court order against closing or demolition. That was not the case for the East Wing or the Reflecting Pool.

john augustine's avatar

he has access to many criminal enterprises in that industry I'm sure

Mary Hall's avatar

Excellent questions.

john augustine's avatar

hopefully a brand new one will be erected if that happens and new laws preventing future GOP man baby's to go there again

HMorgan's avatar

Why does Congress get paid when they're sent home early? If one works in construction, say on a paving crew, and you get sent home early; you don't get paid. These clowns in Congress get more paid time off than most people get in a lifetime of earning a living. And it's on we, the people/taxpayers, dime. 🤬

rlritt's avatar

They'll just say they're working in their district. A Question: is there anyway congressmen can refuse to leave and continue working even though the Speaker called a recess?

To the tune of MOONSHADOW by Cat Stevens:

Yes, the FBI’s recruiting goatfuckers

Goatfuckers, goatfuckers

And if it’s a hot girl goat, you’re in lucker

In lucker in lucker

‘Cause Kash Patel has crazy eyes

Nestling that girl chicken’s thighs

He says he really loves her so

“Ohhhhhhh, ohhhhhhhh I’m just a fucking perv.”

And if the goat gives its consent

You can work for the government

You can mow down immigrants

Hooraaayyyy oh yes hooray!

Goats, chickens, dogs and sheep!

Yes, the FBI’s recruiting pigfuckers

Pigfuckers pigfuckers

Make sure it’s a straight girl pig

You’re in lucker

In lucker in lucker!

‘Cause if the pig is the same sex

Your FBI career is wrecked

We only want real heterosex

Hooorrayyyy aayyyyy

Oink oink baa baa squeal OUCH!

Great one! Yes, Patel's weird digression into bestiality is just so batshit but typical of the freaks on the right.

This is the MAGA reality

Patel thinks bestiality

Is not a disqualification

As long as the fornication

Meets the standard of consensuality

Frosty McGillicuddy's avatar

Oh snap! I agree... it's nuts. But at least consent is important, especially in the ranks of the FBI. Because God knows how much sweet, sweet love the agents have made to their K-9s.

HI2thDoc's avatar

And Patel doesn't want to eliminate from FBI employment any dogs who consented to the liaison. Okay, Kashyap, how does a dog consent? Tail wagging?

Roll over? Fucking weirdos on the right are beyond parody.

Leigh Hamilton's avatar

Goddamnit, now I'm going to be running around the house all day singing "Goat fuckers, goatfuckers, Pig fucker, pigfuckers." My husband will be amused.

"and if I ever lose my cow - cow fuckers cowfuckers..."

HI2thDoc's avatar

"Googly-eyed Kremlin bitch" descriptor for Patel may be supplanted or at least supplemented with "googly-eyed goat fucker"

Frosty McGillicuddy's avatar

I'm sorry, Leigh! That's quite an earworm to have.

Leigh Hamilton's avatar

Oh, no, don't apologize. I'll giggle all day.

I’d give my 401k to the first journalist to ask Johnson about his devotion to Christ and confirm he still believes he’s a religious man. then ask him what he thinks god thinks of liars and corruption. What I’m most interested in is if Johnson would think the question was referring to his corruption and constant lying or if he’d think it was a reference to Trumps corruption and constant lying.

Sharon Senkiew's avatar

Don’t waste your future on that piece of shit- karma gonna get him!

HI2thDoc's avatar

"Squeaker Johnson, since you're such a holey man and are so open about your Christian faith, can you please recite and explain the significance of Matthew chapter 7, verse 15, the one about wolves in sheep's clothing?"

Fastball Fredo's avatar

Jeff, this Kennedy Center is getting more bizarre by the hour today.. cyclone fencing going up around the Center being carried by forklifts and one observer reported a forklift was intentionally ramming a pillar of the building. Parties were to report for a hearing today concerning the potential destruction. A order is in place to prevent the Center demolition…. And yet… As Donald said yesterday the Center should have his name on it, to honor himself..this crew does not care about court orders as dictators can do whatever they wish… In a press gaggle ask him repeatedly about this and the war… he is close to begin choking a reporter, very close… time to tip him over. Best to All.

HI2thDoc's avatar

The White House's worst ever renter

That rage baby toxic fumes venter

Just pulled the same play

When he can't get his way

To defile the Kennedy Center

HI2thDoc's avatar

Some reporter should ask RFK Jr. how he feels about the abuse of the memorial center dedicated to his uncle that the predator in chief is committing.

Cyndi's avatar

RFK Jr. HATES his family. And it is mutual. He doesn't even get asked to family funerals.

Tess's avatar

Claudia-always a beauty! You nailed the descriptions of the worthless republicans that ever lived! My dad, rest his soul-was a republican-he would not approve of this BS! Chicken-shits. (sorry to offend chickens!)

Fred's avatar

Jeff - he is a moron. And a mentally deranged moron at that. What the fuck is wrong with the republicans in Congress that they let this shit go on day after day. It’s exhausting ! ! !

Brian Wendorf's avatar

Crashing the economy and destroying our system of government is the whole point wether he understands his role in it or not (he does not). This is the Soviet Union long game coming to fruition. I fucking guarantee it or the soup is free.

Joyce's avatar

I agree......I have a very uneasy feeling and a tin-foil hat suspicion that all of this "incompetence" is leading to a Putin attack. What were those Senators promised on that 4th of July trip to Moscow? The US military has had nearly all senior leadership purged; weapons stockpiles are being exhausted in a pointless war the US cannot win. Especially not when Iran is allied with Putin. And the US economy is being driven into the ground, while our global allies are alienated. I want this to be tin-foil territory, but it sure looks to me as if it isn't.

rlritt's avatar

What did Putin and Trump talk about in their private meeting?

Brian Wendorf's avatar

Probably not about a shared interest in birding. I feel pretty confident about that.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Putin plays chess while trump plays marbles. A mismatch of truly epic proportions. A wily, cunning, former KGB operative vs. an ignorant, shallow, immature, venal, greedy, egomaniacal dumbass. What could go wrong for Russia and right for us. JFC.

devourerofpancakes's avatar

It was probably all mutual flattery.

Brian Wendorf's avatar

In my opinion the Soviet Union never truly went away. It fractured of course, but all the apparatuses are still there. The names have changed but the systems still exist, and they have definitely planned a long game of Western destruction. Trump has been a part of this web for decades and I believe there is strong evidence to support this.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Yep. All the really changed is instead of the Soviet politburo owning everything, now the oligarchs do.

devourerofpancakes's avatar

Putin probably invited them to Moscow to see if they were really as stupid as they seemed or if it was an act. Imagine his delight.

Mary Greenwald's avatar

Murc's Law is Cruise Control for Cool...and that's why these people get away with the utter dereliction to duty. America's Pilonidal Cyst himself isn't responsible for knowing anything about anything since he is not a Democrat. He could gibber that the moon is made of of the ashes of his dead BFF Jeffrey Epstein and MSM outlets will uncritically type and report that he said it, and not comment upon his unfitness for office.

I wouldn't recommend having this unreconstructed party in power anymore. Best to be registered to vote and get Congress to change hands for a semblance of a check on him.

Because if voting weren't powerful, Republicans wouldn't work so hard to prevent you from doing it!
