There are cases which utterly consume a nation's attention for years, and then get brief attention or none in the history books because they are too complicated to explain: Watergate is in that category like the Diamond Necklace Affair and Dreyfus Case from France, or the Tichbourne Claimant from Britain.

Reviews were so bad that Amazon and Goodreads shut down the reviews feature on their sites for the book. It was most likely trolls, and Amazon said it was going to set it up so that only actual purchasers could write reviews. I don't think that's going to help much. I don't think the sales figures are very good, and the few professional critics I've read have said it's terrible.

When O'Reilly or Don Jr or any right-wing BS factory puts a book out, a conservative think tank or the RNC will buy up a buncha those shitty books and then give 'em away to the cult zombies. The author then gets to crow about "writing" a NYT best seller. The gullible rubes get a freebie, the author gets to brag. Win-win, but a loss for truth and ethics. I’ve had to overcome my own fears and inertia to get out there and do it. The worst that has happened is drive-by rude comments and the finger from a window.
After ICE committed murder, I went to Denver and joined in the protest, even though I was tired and under the weather. My new sign in blood red said ICE KILLS. A woman came up to me and she was crying. She said she was doing some work in Denver but lived in Minneapolis. She said, “Thank you for doing this. We feel so alone there.” We hugged each other and it made MY day. All the demonstrations that week made a difference.

Not only has Katie Phang put in the work, she put fears of personal safety aside in the name of democracy.
