The 14th Amendment says the debt of the United States shall not be questioned. To me, that means the money has been spent and must be paid. It makes me wonder if the debt ceiling is just a manufactured political ploy. The national budget is what is out of control and Congress needs to reign in earmarks and other unnecessary spending, and raise taxes on wealthy corporations and the super rich.
Why in the hell is the media calling it a debt crisis? They should be calling it the GOP EXTORTION PLAN TO RUIN OUR ECONOMY. This is enraging and more bullshit thrown in our faces. This is nothing more than a lunatic threat from Republicans to destroy good faith in our country, our economic stability, the world economy. Why the hell does the media report on it like there are two reasonable sides working on a compromise? It started 20 years or more ago when the right started buying up small AM radio stations. Then newspapers. They took a loss but it didn’t matter, it was to lead us here. Now big TV networks have been bought and popular newsreader ‘personalities’ have been bought and we’ve been bought and sold a bill of goods.

There should be a punishment for holding the country hostage. There is plenty of time afterwards to discuss budget cuts. Yes there is room for improvement but not what McCarthy is proposing. His and Republickcunts at this moment suck big time!
