but at least we denied the presidency to the woman who couldn't solve a thousand-year-old conflict during the 107 days she was a candidate, am I right

Lucius's avatar

Not only that, she was a failure at the border czar job that she never had. /s

I fucking hate this country and an increasing number of it's people.

Doc Blase''s avatar

Going to need a bigger martini glass, I'm sure of that.

Steve in SoCal's avatar

Just have two IVs - - gin in one and vermouth in the other

Cathy 98280's avatar

I’d prefer a Vesper, thank you. 1 part gin, 1 part vodka and a little blonde Lillet. Lemon twist, too.

Lady Emsworth's avatar

I don't know about in the US - but in the UK, a "Lillet" is a tampon. Not sure I'd want it in a Vesper. . .

Cathy 98280's avatar

It’s a French aperitif. If it’s a tampon in the UK, why did Charles tell Camilla he wished he could be a Tampax?

Steve in SoCal's avatar

Lillet = booze

Lil-let = tampon

Susan P Thatcher's avatar

It's a French aperitif here. Like Dubonnet

Bonnie Council's avatar

Ah, I love it when you guys make me laugh. I need it so much these days.

Doreen Garza's avatar

Hahahahahaha!! That’s funny!

Cheri Collins's avatar

I'll take a good single malt whiskey, neat. Just give me the whole bottle and a straw.

Karen Livolsi's avatar

Ohhh…sounds delicious!

Carthago Delenda Est's avatar

French 75 for me. And oldie, but goodie.

Like me. Well, the old part.

Mary Hall's avatar

Lillet is lovely on its own too. My friend serves it with an orange slice.

Susan P Thatcher's avatar

Omit the vodka and you have my interest.

Morgan's avatar

Just pump that drink straight into me veins please.. I just cannot even fathom the narcissism of the Orange Shitstain and that other white pasty Fvck MuskRat Brain.. oh and the American people will be paying all those souls sent to Guantanamo in more taxes.. they’re not doing it for free people..

Richard Von Busack's avatar

Stupidly decided to deglaze the liver this month, since we washed up on Dry January, and plus February has three less days. How was I to know the shite would be flying this thick and fast??

Doreen Garza's avatar

I really wish I could pick up and leave this country!! FUCK TRUMP AND ELON THE FREAKY LOOKING ASSHOLE 🤬

Cathy Wray's avatar

Doreen, Musk is so fucking ugly, in spirit and body.

Doreen Garza's avatar

He is disgusting 🤮

Bikracer's avatar

I wish the same for myself but it’s impossible.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Ditto Lucius, putting these two career criminals together in a room, this is the grift that comes out of it!!

shee-rah's avatar

Bonnie Council's avatar

I don't hate this country, but I do really despise an increasing number of it's people, many of whom are in DC.

Steve in SoCal's avatar

Not voting for Kamala because you thought she wasn't pro-Gaza enough is like saying, "Hmm, that salad looks a bit wilted. Give me a 5-gallon bucket of dog shit instead."

longtimebirdwatcher's avatar

Probably not a good idea to read the comments while eating or drinking...

Let me sum up's avatar

Or a 5 gallon bucket of potato salad that's been sitting in the sun all day.

Steve in SoCal's avatar

No, a 5-gallon bucket of spoiled potato salad would be Chuck Schumer

Marycat2021's avatar

You really are rather partial to buckets of dog shit, I see.

Steve in SoCal's avatar

Makes for good analogies

Richard Von Busack's avatar

Genocide Joe and Killer Kamala! I just couldn’t vote for them, I just couldn’t! Anyway, I hope my personal punishment of them has taught the Democratic Party an important lesson!

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

dude, I know you're being sarcastic, but get ready for people to be yelling at you all day for your comment

Richard Von Busack's avatar

Oh, I asked for it. Act like a jackass, get the stick as the jackass does.

Jessica Moats's avatar

Learned a new term today! Thank you Jeff and Wikipedia. (here’s hoping Musk takes over that horrible site.)

Cathy 98280's avatar

Just now read about Musk and Wikipedia - I’m glad they pissed him off.

Jessica Moats's avatar

This is the sarcasm just fyi

Diane Rose Halstead's avatar

Never knew about Poe’s law! Thx. Richard needs to learn /s Or is it \s ?? Lol I’m afraid to be sarcastic online BECAUSE of Poe’s law!!! So I guess I knew about it, just not its formal name. I’ll shut up now. Love both you and Ms Spouse, Jeff. You keep us sane.

Richard Von Busack's avatar

As an apology for jackassery, I submit this clip from Allegro Non Troppo (1977) set to Dvorak's Slavic Dance #7. Perhaps it will remind you of a politician or two. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y87nLlz3iDQ

T L Mills's avatar

Thank You for that link--I 've always loved Dvorak and the cartoon is very cute. Hopefully, we can (eventually) flash our collective moons* at Trump and Smuk, and say Hah!

(*or a suitably insulting substitute)

Dave Drell's avatar

Dvorak! come her for the rough talk and get culture at the same time!

Love his 7th, 8th, 9th Symphonies!!!!

Susan Niemann's avatar

Thats for sure…because so much gets lost in translation!

Teri's avatar

Cheri, /s indicates sarcasm

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Naw, we know Richard is merely fucking with us… although Biden and Harris policy towards Israel, and the genocide that happened under their watch, was completely misguided!

Mary Greenwald's avatar

Yes, Harris could not get elected, but she committed GENOCIDE. Yup.

She's a real killer. Probably belongs to HAMAS.

Teri's avatar

But Biden still sent 2000 lb bombs to Israel, knowing they would kill and maim thousands. Voted for Biden twice.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Ditto Terri… having worked for defense contractors for years I feel complicit in the death and destruction, I’m aware of others who feel likewise.

Let me sum up's avatar

That does tend to happen around here on occasion. Ask me how I know.

Flush VonShitzinPantz's avatar

Hopefully your soft landing for him right there will blunt most of those without the ability to distinguish that. Nice one.

Lucius's avatar

I got the sarcasm too, but I also know people who said almost that exact same thing and meant it completely seriously.

Abigail Norling's avatar

I almost bit! But figured it out! Richard, I think your sarcasm needs to be a bit less trolly!

Doreen Garza's avatar

You’re correct Jeff!!!

Karen Livolsi's avatar

Same here. It..it ..was asking too much! A woman, with a plan, just too much!

PS My 94 yo mother and I had a bet that America would elect Kamala. I lost. Mom’s always right.

SeekingReason's avatar

Except we know Harris didn’t lose. Recognise a coup when you witness it.

Karen Livolsi's avatar

Lots of questions about Trumps “victory” in PA. How’s come nobody’s asking about that?

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

See posted link below Karen. Greg Palast wrote about voter suppression a couple weeks ago that explains the how and why of the election. He’s on Substack, Thom Hartman also published his findings, posted below.

PJ Schuster's avatar

Thanks Patrick for helping to spread that Palast article. 💙

Steve in SoCal's avatar

During the last week or two of the campaign, Trump told rally-goers, "You don't even need to vote; I already have all the votes I need." There is def more to this story

Sharon C Storm's avatar

Voter suppression caused her to lose. If I knew how to do it, I would share a conversation between Thom Hartmann and Greg Palast that I saw on BlueSky. It is quite enlightening. If you’re on BlueSky, it’s on my timeline.

T L Mills's avatar

I read that excellent article, too. It was both enlightening and rage-engendering. It's unbelievably infuriating that the Repubbies are able to push voter suppression moves througha legislature in that fashion--but it does emphasize that the R's are still afraid of a level playing field when voting time rolls around.

PJ Schuster's avatar

The Dem leadership needs to read the Greg Palast article & PLAN to fight to overcome it; file lawsuits, do everything, tell voters about the “Poison Postcards.”

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

I would have thought after posting the Palast piece when it was released on his web site…right here! Would have been enough for anyone interested to peruse. Then Palast came to Substack and began posting his investigation, Thom did as well, hmm!

It’s certainly telling how MSM is serving its corporate overlords Sharon, there’s still people who don’t know the difference between truth, fantasy and propaganda!!

Karen Livolsi's avatar

I’m on Bluesky. I’ll check it out! 😊

PJ Schuster's avatar

Read the Palst article that Patrick just posted here

Mombeka's avatar

I’m sure it’s really all that Kenyan guy Obama’s fault. Trump tried to expose him but nobody would listen!

Steve in SoCal's avatar

And George Soros. And trans kids.

Hannah's avatar

I thought everything is Biden's fault now.

Patricia Gomes's avatar

Obviously it is. Everything done by Biden , whether positive or negative, was wrong and will be “corrected “ by the “ real estate genius “ at the behest of his owner. It’s the trusk administration now.

BC's avatar

But trump is a saint, huh? You and people like you support a man who is trying his best to be a dictator over us. I'm sorry you're either blind, in the cult of MAGA or stupid. You wouldn't know a good person if you saw one. You like a man who is doing nothing for us, but plenty for himself. He cozies up to other dictators and alienates our allies. Worst president, but even more, worst man I've ever seen or heard.

Betsy L's avatar

Take a step back, BC. This whole string is sarcasm at its finest. Your clue was the bit about punishing Dems. Don't lose your sense of humor in all this; it may be the only shield any of us has against the insanity.

Richard Von Busack's avatar

Couldn’t agree with you more, and you may want to have your sarcasm detector recalibrated.

Lady Emsworth's avatar

Oh! Oh! Oh! - One of the saddest things about this whole debacle is that so MANY people seem to post incredibly ignorant things, our sarcasm detectors don't need "recalibrating" - they need life support. Seems to me the whole "/s" thing started at the beginning of the trump regime. Satire isn't dead - but it sure takes a good thrashing sometimes. . .

(and PS - I HATE the "/s"!)

Teri's avatar

Lady, you may hate /s, but it is necessary since we can't see facial expressions, tone of voice, or other obv clues one gets face to face.

michellefromchicago's avatar

Hmmmm. Maybe there's a way to use Comic Sans for sarcastic comments....

Richard Von Busack's avatar

Sorry, I’ve been very bitter about this shit ever since I saw dewy-eyed Michigan kids saying this kind of bullshit

Sharon C Storm's avatar

Since I’ve seen your comments on here numerous times, I know you are one of us, and I got the sarcasm immediately. There should be some way to explain that it’s sarcasm without actually saying it.

Stephen Schiff's avatar

There is. End the comment with /s

Lady Emsworth's avatar

Or you could reply "The fact that people are too stupid to recognise sarcasm when they see it is one of the reasons we are IN this shit!"

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Having a mobbed up career criminal as the leader of the (not so) free world, was certain to be a disaster, only a small fraction of imbecilic wastrels would think otherwise BC

Kristy Kanen's avatar

Some people need a big ole sign that says SARCASM, especially if it is acommener thay are unfamiliar with. I knew you were being sarcastic .

Mary Greenwald's avatar

Why the Democratic Party? It is the Republicans voting for Trump and Congress that has us in this mess. Republicans knew what Trump would do to DEMOCRACY. They voted ion November and the SENATE votes for every LOSER Trump wants in his Cabinet.

Derek Smith's avatar

Go back to McConnell and the two impeachments he bamboozled the Republicans into dismissing. Now the fear of being 'primaried' is foremost to keep them all in line because Lone Muskrat has the $$$ to fund any primary challenge he wants, whether it be Dem or Rethug.

Charles Austin's avatar

And I have a Zoom meeting on Saturday with some of these sanctimonious asshats. I'll be sure to stick their noses in it.

Susan P Thatcher's avatar

Understood, but surely you didn't think they'd be better off with the current administration?

SeekingReason's avatar

Please indicate sarc when it is

Let me sum up's avatar

You must be new here...

BC's avatar

Nope, not new. . Sometimes I miss the sarcasm, as I demonstrated here.

Let me sum up's avatar

And i should have added a wink at the end of my comment- I didn't mean to come off as a little snot.

Doreen Garza's avatar

WTF? Bye Richard, look wtf you did and helped cause us to be in the horrible position we’re now in!!

Hannah's avatar

It's a fucking joke. Come on!

Joseph Michaels's avatar

It taught them fuck-all.

Doc Blase''s avatar

Nancy Mace can turn her own house into Mar-A-lar-Gofuckyourself.

Doc Blase''s avatar

Moreover, she can fork herself in the road.

Stephen Brady's avatar

She was simply out-monied and propagandized against. Still we need a real leader for Democrats and she is a great communicator. Here is a letter I sent her this morning. If you agree with me, please write to her and Dems who can communicate and relate to people:

Dear Madam VP (former) - I am writing as a former and current supporter. We are in the worst crisis our Nation has faced since the Civil War and our Democratic leaders are floundering in the face of the daily hurricane blast of nonsense and criminality from the Oval Office. Could you please find the strength to come out of retirement and help organize a shadow government using our best communicators. We need an organized and strong message to counter the Orange Dictator. We need people like Jasmine Crockett, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, and a dozen other people organized to get out there and bring our message to people. We need a highly competent modern communication genius to get the message placed and pounded in, daily. I feel like Princess Leia pleading with Obiwan Kemobi, but this seems to be an all hands on deck moment. Think it over, please.

Mary Greenwald's avatar

Amy Klobuchar? She is voting with the Republicans to put Trump's yahoos in charge of the government. Try Mazie Hirono and Tammy Duckworth. They do not "go along to get along"!

Let me sum up's avatar

THIS! Klobs is a pathetic wannabe & a collaborator of the highest order.

Our other senator, Tina Smith, is a legit part of the opposition. Except for voting for fucking Rubio.

Let me sum up's avatar

Plus, Klobs just got reelected so there's NO colorable argument for her complicity.

Cathy 98280's avatar

I think they all looked at Rubio and thought he was a good guy. OOPS!

Let me sum up's avatar

You are more generous than I in your assessment.😉

Robert Eckert's avatar

...and thought "he's from our club, if we vote for him that increases the chance that in the future there will be a cushy job for ME"

Stephen Brady's avatar

I am simply astonished by Dems voting for his awful nominees…

Timothy Eble's avatar

I would like to thank all of the pro Palestinian protesters who while Biden was trying to keep a lid on things called him genocide Joe and the like. I was at a fund raiser where the debris from that group infiltrated and seriously tried to disrupt the program. They wanted a change in mid eastern policy, and they got it. From unnecessary killings before to calculated extermination of a people and its culture now. It was so clear what would happen, that a mule could have seen it coming. They damaged Biden’s campaign and later the campaign of Harris. I have never seen a dumber group less aware of the ramifications of their actions.

Now, if they protest, they can expect to be arrested, shot or deported to Guantanamo. So, reap what you sow.

Teri's avatar

Jeff, your title today: "Just a couple of Dudes Planning War Crimes, As One Does" -- should have an asterisk *Detonation of Unexploded Bombs May Occur During Talks, Killing and Maiming Others"

Ole Anderson's avatar

The orange shit stain plans for us to pay for the cleanup of unexploded ordinance to prep the site for Jared to start building resorts for the ‘World people’. Trump will profit, US troops will die and be maimed for life, Palestinians will be ethnically cleansed to make way for this Faustian deal.

Not one RepubliCON will stand against this nonsense?!?

Dana Jae Labrecque's avatar

What I’ve been asking myself for the last many hours is where the fuck are all those college students who were screaming about Gaza before the election and yelling at Joe and Kamala about it? Why the fuck aren’t they in the streets? Those little shits that didn’t turn out to vote after all are suddenly quiet and studious?

Cat Cafe's avatar

Also, she CACKLED, am I right?

Sara Toye's avatar

Jeff, you are right. Kamala was a slacker for sure.

The judge who enjoined further funding freezes should summons Elon to a show-cause hearing (that's "show cause why you should not be held in contempt of court") and if Elon doesn't show, send marshalls heavily armed enough to engage with Elon's security detail (if Elon is killed resisting arrest, nothing of value will be lost).

This would require more guts than I realistically expect to see.

Mike Hammer's avatar

Probably wants to name it Gaz-a-Largo.

Rick Calegari's avatar

And with Sen. Fetterman's blessing. WTF happened to this guy? Has he always been a Dump supporting dickhead in a hoodie or did he get one of those suitcases full of cash for agreeing to be supportive of dear leader's barbaric plans? It doesn't seem to matter anymore whether it's a clear violation of the Geneva Convention, Emoluments Clause or the Constitution, the GOP along with help from sellouts like Sen. Fetterman will continue support the evil plans of his assholiness.

kdsherpa's avatar

A-fib, stroke, hospitalization for depression. Everyone gave him the benefit of the doubt (we ARE Democrats, after all). Damn shame, damn shame. Should have cut him lose back in 2023.

PTW's avatar

Yeah, except the alternative AT THE TIME in the general election was Mehmet Oz. Definitely not an upgrade.

Kay-El's avatar

I’ve read a few reasons: his stroke (disclaimer: no, not everyone who has a stroke changes but it can happen: https://www.stroke.org/en/help-and-support/resource-library/lets-talk-about-stroke/personality-changes; and his wife is an immigrant.

Nancy Eadie Larkin's avatar

“and his wife is an immigrant.”

A beautiful, outspoken immigrant. He also has two children.

The explanation for his course change is clear. It’s not the stroke.

kdsherpa's avatar

GOSH, Kay-El!! You've got it!!! Spread the word as far as it can go. I'm putting it on my substack right now.

Linda Fulcher's avatar

He's a phony. He goes whichever way the wind is blowing and right now it's a MAGA wind. Primary him.

Douglas Paul Truhlar's avatar

If anyone thinks the Hamas and their friends will let that piece of land see a day of peace they are wrong. Arabs of different stripes could be new bedfellows and it will be a guerrilla style war you are talking another Afghanistan, unnecessary totally.

Teri's avatar

Douglas, will maga wake up when maga sons and daughters body bags arrive from Gaza? Bodies in 500 small pieces from detonations? Just to enrich Jared and Turd?

Ole Anderson's avatar

Probably not. And there won’t be any daughters in body bags according to Hogsbreath, or whatever his name is.

michellefromchicago's avatar

Exactly. Fetterman is not dancing with them what brung him, for sure. When he comes up for re-election, I hope he is primaried from the Left and goes down in flames.

Elizabeth Ayer's avatar

“His assholiness”! Is that yours? It’s great!

Kathleen Weber's avatar

Trump said that "world's people" will come to his Riviera on the Mediterranean. Yep, all the people of the world who can afford five-star hotels. And that's after he got rid of the 1.8 million who can't afford these hotels. After all, they're used to living in tents!

Teri's avatar

Where will wait staff, hotel maids, desk clerks, etc live? Nothing left of Gaza but rubble. If it's housing for resort staff, or a bigger golf course... Gee, I wonder what Jared will choose?

Kathleen Weber's avatar

They will hire cheap labor from Asia and keep them in dormitories. Very often maids live in the basements of hotels. With rare exceptions, these people are never allowed to become permanent residents.

Cheryl ODonnell's avatar

Jared originally planned to relocate the Palestinians to the desert. Netanyahu never did want them to remain in Gaza.

Susan Niemann's avatar

And the first fucking text out of Adam Schiff after the inauguration sent me Flying around my apartment like an angry popped balloon. I couldn’t believe what he wrote on the socials about working together with the fucking Republicans and congratulating the demon spawn of Satan. What in the actual fuck? We in California elected this douche bag instead of Katie Porter?

I have HAD it! Give us a party filled with AOC, Jasmine, Crockett, Jamie Raskin, Liz Warren, and Chris Murphy (now finding his anger). I'm missing a few, I know, but the rest can go fuck off all the way to Fetterman's hoodie and bury themselves in it.

Modern COLONIZERS! TRUMP & NETANYAHU. TWO CRUEL HUMAN BEINGS who don't mind BULLDOZING HUMANITY.

Linda Weide's avatar

The word genocide has not been used, but I have been saying this is the USs Nazi moment, made very clear by our acting president Elon Musk.

This morning Heather Cox Richardson said that Trump is doddering and many not have a clear idea of what Musk is up to as he is given Executive Orders to sign. I say, Impeach and Imprison Trump. Put him in El Salvador so he can try out the space he wants to put immigrants and US citizens in. I also say, Deport Musk, and send him to El Salvador or back to South Africa.

In fact, given that South Africa has a war crime claim against Netanyahu, I wonder what crimes can they charge Musk with after he doomed millions of children in Africa to die by withdrawing USAID!

Polly Sears's avatar

I totally agree. I wrote last night that T looked ill, tired, his eyes were manic. Time for impeachment. I wonder if that would free some of the cowardly Republicans ?

Doc Blase''s avatar

Obstruct and block everything in the Senate, and the House, impeach Dumpty every week. Imprisoning him is impossible, due to Extreme Court's ruling.

Linda Weide's avatar

Nothing is impossible. When I was a child it was understood a Black man could not be president. Then we had Barack Obama. So, now nothing is out of reach.

Lois Henry's avatar

Except maybe a Black woman?

Linda Weide's avatar

Exactly. There will be no women in power in the US at all if we do not stop this craziness. Jay Kuo talks about the lawsuit against Musk that he thinks has the nest chance right now.

https://open.substack.com/pub/statuskuo/p/can-musk-be-stopped?r=f0qfn&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false

And we should be calling particularly Republicans in Congress, and letting them know that you are angry and upset about the illegal behavior of Musk and his minions, and to block Russell Vought.

Also, here is an impeach Trump petition. Sign and share it please.

Well, the Ayatollah already has a 1 mil price on Trump's head, what do you think it will be now?

Also, why does Jared Kushner have a Hitler haircut? All he needs is the right mustache and salute and you won't be able to tell them apart. He can imitate his hero Musk!

I imagine others might want to add Elon to it. I presume the Ayatollah might feel that way about Jared Kirshner too. He is the one who told his father in law to develop Gaza as real estate.

kdsherpa's avatar

YES!!! I'm even willing to DOUBLE the price!

Linda Weide's avatar

If Trump eradicates Gaza and removes the people, then I think the Ayatollah will up that price. I read it in Spy Talk, but I see here in Al Jazeerah that it is up to 3 million. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/1/21/iranian-mp-puts-3m-bounty-on-president-donald-trumps-head

kdsherpa's avatar

OK, Susan! I FINALLY laughed. Good work.

Abena N's avatar

Don’t forget muskrat…

Cathy 98280's avatar

This is where my paranoia comes in - are “they” watching who writes/comments on “taking out” a certain person? 😳😳😳😳

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

Only their algorithms -- remember, they've decimated the FBI and given buyout offers to CIA employees. Actual terrorists know this. And when Shiites and Sunis line up against the U.S. and fuckhole Israel ("the enemy of my enemy is my friend"), Trump's resort plans for Gaza will literally go up in smoke.

something, alas, to keep in mind when we're blowing off steam

I’m glad you said that. 😊

Douglas Paul Truhlar's avatar

Far be it for me to stifle free speech but I just don’t know about that one specifically.

Susan Niemann's avatar

The Ayatollah started it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Dave Drell's avatar

only a million$$$???

Up that x10 and include Muskrat .

up it by x100 and Putin would take care of it.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Well said Linda, misdirection is always a great plan, Trumps lacks the intelligence for it, but his coterie of miscreants are doing it now!!

Linda Weide's avatar

But, he has the instincts for it. I cannot even imagine how sick his childhood might have been to create a person with such a knack for subterfuge!

And, all the MAGAs are defending him because they bought into the Musk and Trump lines that it might hurt at first, like destroying our government to line Musk's pockets even more isn't a full measure of maniacal insanity.

This is what Goebbels used to tell the Germans as they got them into a war that Hitler promised he would not, all the while knowing that he was planning to.

Two years ago when I said Trump reminds me of Hitler, someone whose parents had immigrated from Germany like my mom did chided me on trivializing the experiences of the Holocaust. Mark my words, what Trump has planned for non-White, non-Asian immigrants and citizens of the US is going to look a lot like that. Let El Salvadorian prisons do the killing is what he is doing. It is said that people that go into the El Salvadorian prisons don't come out. So, what is the misdirection from?

Also, I would like to deport Musk back to South Africa.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Misdirection is the name of the game I’m watching unfold Kristy, but I love logical and creative thinking!!

Linda Weide's avatar

Today we were discussing how Gaza might just be Trump gaslighting Europe over Greenland, and Panama, by making them think that Trump will go to war on people. However, if it is just that then it is to distract from the Treasury dept. But while people are freaking out about Musk and his minions and Gaza, they are preparing to dismantle the Dept of Education. So, you cannot fully take your eye off the ball, but I had a friend who was focusing on the tariffs. I said do not focus on tariffs, focus on big picture actions.

Tess's avatar

The fucking nerve of this administration…..Trump, King of the World! What the actual fuck????????????

JsuttraL's avatar

We will “do a job with it”. Anyone care to guess what kind of a job?

Lucius's avatar

A shitty one, just like everything else trump touches.

Susan P Thatcher's avatar

Trump is the distraction. Musk is the destruction.

And boy howdy, are they good at it.

Ifvthis crackpot scheme goes forward, can you imagine the infiltration of the construction crews by Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS, Al Qaeda, Talisman. The "Riviera" could be pre-wired for bombs, they can dig new tunnels. And with this "everybody out" shit? It's practically a terrorist job fair; no telling how many they could recruit.8

James Stanley's avatar

this is exactly correct. As Meiselis says, WMD. Weapons of Mass Distraction as he loots the treasury and changes out the whole government with his acolytes

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

I’ve been in this camp since witnessing what happened with twitter Susan, what we are seeing in front of our noses, is the misdirection, to what’s going on behind the curtain!!

Ellen McKenzie's avatar

Definitely. Where is Sasquatch VP Vance? Doing dirty work no doubt.

KayinLa's avatar

PLEASE call your senators and tell them to stop confirming anyone for this corrupt administration. We need to take a page outta Moscow Mitch's playbook and stop everything in the senate. NO business a usual. Block, obstruct and get loud about the coup happening right in front of us!

Gail Dragoo's avatar

I was appalled to find out how many Dems just voted on a Trump nominee, Doug Collins for Sec’y of veterans Affairs. 22 of them including mine in Arizona. What the hell?

longtimebirdwatcher's avatar

Your Arizona senators have not done well in these confirmations. Tell them, because I already did, when they asked me for money last week.

Derek Smith's avatar

OBAMA asked me for money over the weekend.

Derek Smith's avatar

I just got an email from Kamala Harris asking for a Benjamin to support the DNC.

🙄

Cathy 98280's avatar

THAT shitweasel is why we’re here now. God damn him to hell and back! Totally agree with everything you said.

Declan's avatar

Which one (weasel)??

Cathy 98280's avatar

That would be Yurtle McTurtle, aka Moscow Mitch, or Elaine Chao’s husband.

Brad Yazell's avatar

WTF is with Fetterman? Was he just a wolf in a hoodie, gym sweats and tennis shoes all along?

One day, and that day can't come soon enough, this will all be over. I hope I'm still alive to see it.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Fetterman played a lot of hopefuls, but he came as advertised to many Mary!!

Doc Blase''s avatar

I think he's gone nucking futs.

Jessica Moats's avatar

Yup. Donated to his campaign multiples times because of what he supposedly stood for even though I am in FL. Maybe campaign donations to a candidate who provably flips 180 degrees on their campaign promises should be refundable? Then I suppose Maggats might definitely want refunds for egg prices.

Robert Eckert's avatar

There is no procedure for recalling federal Representatives or Senators.

Gary's avatar

Arrest musk, trump, and all of the coup criminals, NOW. Is it a coup? If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck......OUR police and military need to counteract this coup, NOW. Illegal activity gives them the authority, IMHO.

Mary A. Rose's avatar

South Korea did it, and we should too.

Gary's avatar

Exactly what I said to Mrs. Spouse this morning. Thank you, Mary.

Irascible Ink's avatar

Every morning I ask so is TODAY the day the SWAT team storms the White House and at least drags Eloon and his playpen of Musketeers out by their ears?

Well?

We're waaaiitinnng!!!.....

Cathy 98280's avatar

I have been wondering about our military folks - I know General Milley is no longer “around,” but are there others like him who would rather be pro-USA than being pro-trump? Ya’ know, pro Constitution rather than pro-coup?

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Congress is helpless, justice department and FBI are in the midst of chaos and crisis… the only solution is the D. C. Police, that’s unlikely Gary. This coup was a much more complex planned attack on democracy, with a mass of complicit players involved. What will remain of this republic will be determined by our actions and those of our courts!

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

Correct. Who has authority over the military? Commander-in-Chief...? Congress? (Oh, Holy Mike Johnson...?) They'd probably call out the National Guard to combat the DC Police. Who would command the DC Police, for that matter? What would actually hurt them? Pulling $$$ out of the stock market in mass.

Hannah's avatar

Uh, don't expect LEOs to help. They are MAGAts.

Well put, Gerard. Thanks for your reply.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Too bad Conor Lamb didn't have the recognition and catch the voters' attention like the hulking Fetterman did. Lamb is a Marine Corp veteran, former Assistant US Attorney, a great candidate. And I'm sure he wouldn't be a turncoat like you know who.

Karen Hall's avatar

Just called his office in PHL. Again. Turncoat.

Susan P Thatcher's avatar

Fetterman, the new Manchin/Sinema

Gail Dragoo's avatar

When I saw this horse shit about Gaza on the BbC this morning, my first thought was that he’s going to get us into a war in the Middle East.

Abena N's avatar

A war? This is more like a feeding frenzy and it won’t end until someone snatches the tablecloth, or yanks his fat ass from the table.

Richard Von Busack's avatar

Glad I don’t have any kids who’ll be drafted to hold rifles on the workers putting up this proposed gaudy asshole-garage

Doc Blase''s avatar

The gaudy asshole-garage has a ring to it.

Doc Blase''s avatar

If not there, then Panama, Greenland, California. He's itching for lots of others who do not have bone spurs to go get killed for a lie.

Kristy Kanen's avatar

But, but, he's the Anti War Unpresident 🙄😮‍💨

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Possibly, the Saudi’s won’t have any of this idiocy Gail, but they do have Kuch!!

Peter's avatar

Emperor Dumbass thinks cleaning up Gaza will get him a Nobel Prize. It's more likely to get him an arrest warrant from the ICC, not that he cares. But seriously, 10 days into the job and Rubio has turned himself into a laughing stock. Not one serious world leader will deal with him because they know he is nothing more than the Emperor's sock puppet. These assholes have burned America's place in the world to the ground in less than a month.

Kristy Kanen's avatar

Rubio is a hypocrite christian, but his problem is he's not WHITE.

Gina's avatar

he's not? Latino, but of the top-layer Euro Cubans, I thought - huh, Nazis used to check birth certificates; we're advanced and will test with DNA..........

Hannah's avatar

He does a good imitation of a white guy.
