It was hardly a response speech. It sounded so generic it didn’t matter which party she was talking about. Nothing in that speech was in response to something Joe Biden said. Almost as if the response was written before they even read the speech. And no way would they have expected that they would be following such a dynamic speech. The audience was primed with positivity; her doom and gloom description of our country was such a let down. It lacked credibility. She never said it had relevance today. Then, why include it in a rebuttal to Biden’s SOTU moments previous? And if it’s an outdated story, it is also irrelevant. Nobody is fooled. Either way, she was being deceitful. She can blame it on misunderstanding, but it was very obvious. That makes it even more offensive.

It was hardly a response speech. It sounded so generic it didn’t matter which party she was talking about. Nothing in that speech was in response to something Joe Biden said. Almost as if the response was written before they even read the speech. And no way would they have expected that they would be following such a dynamic speech. The audience was primed with positivity; her doom and gloom description of our country was such a let down. It lacked credibility. Not to mention how it disrupted my positive evening with a detailed horrendous description of that mattress room and the horrible crime committed there. I did not need that assault on my emotions. I’m an empath, a little more sensitive than some people, but I won’t forgive her for forcing me to emotionally experience that. But that sensationalism was intended to appeal to everyone’s emotions. Cheap trick, really.
