you know who hates to be told ‘no’? babies.
it fucks with their me-centric view of the world. their still-forming brains lack the ability to process disappointment, or logic.
the little darlings don’t even have any control over how they react — hearing ‘no’ causes an instant emotional impulse, rather than any rational choice to disobey.
hey, do you who know who else can’t stand to hear the word ‘no’? our colicky piss-baby president, currently shitting himself raw because some mean old judge told him he can’t put his stupid name all over the Kennedy Center.
oh, come on. that shit’s too long and ponderous for anyone to bother to read — so let me just sum it up thusly:
now let’s long-story-short how we got here. six months ago, without having any authority to do, Mad King Donny slapped his foul name all over the front of the Kennedy Center building, after which a judge told him in no uncertain terms to pry that shit off, pronto. ever since, Donny’s been doing what that shit-nozzle Roy Cohn taught him to do: go running back the to the courts, over and over and over, to explain that, don’t they understand? Very Special Boys get to do whatever they want — and for those six long months, judges have been telling Donny to please go fuck himself straight out of their courtrooms.
so here’s Donny’s latest tack: to claim the Kennedy Center is falling apart, is in immediate need of repair, and that the necessary funds to do that can’t be raised unless his name gets put back up on it — and if he can’t get his way, he’s closing the whole thing down.
yeah, I know. that’s dumb as fuck and makes no sense whatsoever. I can’t believe I just typed out those last two paragraphs, either.
nonetheless, here we are.
here’s a fun thing our Toddler-in-Chief did yesterday: he phoned up the entire board of the Kennedy Center and threw a complete infantile shit-fit, literally shrieking at them to close the Center, immediately, if his name can’t be up there.
as always, perfectly normal stuff.
here’s Kennedy Center board member Rep. Joyce Beatty, who was on the call, to lay out how that shit went down.
Rep. Joyce Beatty: “what he is proposing is unlawful, and he just shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it — and if he thought trying to bully me was going to stop me from standing up for what’s right, he picked the wrong person.”
Kaitlan Collins: “a source described the call as ‘effing crazy.’ I mean, maybe you won’t use that language, but is that essentially how you would describe what happened today?”
Beatty: “I probably wouldn’t use that language, but I understand what the person was saying. I think it would be unthinkable for someone to hear a president using the language that he used. he threw a tantrum. it was like an immature child. I wouldn’t even want to put this on a child. he was just being — in my opinion being very immature, shouting and calling names. he doesn’t really know anything about me, an I looked to the board, and I said, ‘are we really going to do this?’ it’s very unprofessional.”
yeah, well, ‘unprofessional’ is kinda Donny’s whole business model.
it’s hard to believe that anyone could be this infantile, much less a nation’s chief executive. and for what? for not getting his way over having his name on the side of a building. how completely fucking embarrassing is that?
but that’s what this stupid shit is fixated on. that’s what consumes him, as the world falls to pieces all around us: his fucked-up obsession with slapping his name on everything.
it could be nice if this raving lunatic would be this concerned about fixing any of the problems that he himself created.
look at what we face: inflation. the price of everything going through the roof. masked federal thugs roaming the streets of our cities, shooting with impunity anyone they care to. a surveillance state gone wild, with Flock cameras all the fuck over the place. janky, six-fingered plagiarism robots escaping containment and running wild in ways we can’t predict — or stop. an energy crunch that’s only getting worse, caused by Donny’s unwinnable war of choice against Iran.
wouldn’t it be nice if Donny would bother to pick up the phone and scream at someone, anyone, about any of that shit?
oh, I’m sorry, Dear Leader can’t be bothered. he’s too busy throwing a shithole tantrum over his name.
it’s just one more item that the next Democratic president’s Secretary of Un-Fucking All That Shit is going to have to put right.
here’s another thing Donny melted down over yesterday: the Supreme Court’s rejection of his latest attempt to meddle with mail-in balloting.
look at this quadruple fuckload of incoherent immaturity.
Jesus fucking wept. that’s way too long for any sane person to read. life is way too short. let’s just get British comedy legend David Mitchell back in here to summarize it.
the only line in that mess that you need to concern yourself is this:
“These are not the people I interviewed to serve on the United States Supreme Court.”
look, I get why Donny is under the mistaken impression that the bought-and-paid for hacks on the Supreme Court are supposed to act has his personal rent-a-judges — it’s how they normally function, anyway.
and I’m sure it totally fucking sucks for some bro from the Federalist Society come up to Donny, big, strong, with tears in his eyes, and go, ‘sir! sir! I know that Brett Kavanaugh is an embarrassment who was so blackout drunk all the way through prep school and college that he literally can’t remember how many women he may have assaulted, but if you nominate him, he’ll always vote the way you want him to. sir!’ — only to have Blackout Brett occasionally show some spine, and actually commit a justice.
boo fucking hoo, Donny. stop whining, and grow the fuck up.
but wait — now it’s time to discuss the real news of the day — no, the real news of the week. the month. the year. possibly the entire century.
and what’s that news, I hear you asking?
this: goat-fuckers no longer have to be worried about being fired from the FBI.

I shit you not. it’s now official FBI policy that bestiality aficionados no longer have to fear for their jobs, if their significant other happens to moo, or bark.
The FBI previously refused to hire job applicants if they admitted to hiring sex workers or stealing from an employer — or engaging in acts of bestiality.
Today, those acts, which are mostly illegal across the country, are no longer automatic deal breakers for applicants to the nation’s top law enforcement agency.
I know, right? the Senate Judiciary Committee was just as gobsmacked as you are right now, and they wanted some answers from the googly-eyed director of the FBI, Ka$h Patel.
Senator Dick Durbin: “you turned it upside down. I caught that.”
Kash Patel: “no, you didn’t, because you lied.”
Durbin: “no, I didn’t. what I’m reading to you, is you dropped automatic disqualification for applicants who have been engaged in bestiality. not victims of bestiality — applicants who have engaged. do you disagree with that?”
Kash: “applicants who have engaged in bestiality means they were victims of bestiality because they were forced to do so. st this FBI we are not going to criminalize and prevent victims from serving the United States of America.”
hang on a second — what is Krazee-Eyes Kash saying here? that if Special Agent Cowfucker is discovered balls-deep in old Bossie, it’s the fucker who’s the real victim in all this? how does that even work? that’s some Jeffrey-Epstein-level reasoning, right there.
oh goody. let’s all normalize bestiality now. sure, why the fuck not? compared with all the other crazypants shit the Donnyverse is getting up to, what’s wrong with a little piggie-porking?
is Kash drunk right now? this isn’t me asking. it’s Senator Mazie Hirono who wants to know.
Hirono to Patel: “I’m still pretty mystified as to why bestiality was taken off the list. You have been so drunk that briefings have been rescheduled so you could sleep it off.”
even pretend-yokel-actual-Oxford-graduate John Kennedy couldn’t make heads or tails of it.
PATEL: The previous regulation automatically disqualified any individual who participated in either side of it
KENNEDY: Either side of beastiality? So you disqualified the animal?
P: Well, we have great canines, but we’re not going to disqualify them
K: I’m trying to understand why you did this.
bro, we’re all trying to understand why the hell Kash did this.
is some crony of Kash’s super-horny to be an FBI agent, except he likes to fuck chickens? is that why he changed the rules?
if the Oxford-educated Kennedy can’t figure it out, how can the rest of us have any chance?
fuck it, let’s just all go out and get drunk. maybe we need to be in Kash Patel’s frame of mind to understand.
lastly, let’s give a shout-out and happy birthday to the legendary Heather Cox Richardson, who started writing her Letters from an American seven years ago today.
as someone who has been writing this shit daily for almost four years, I can tell you that seven years and counting is quite the feat. we should all stand in awe, and give Heather a standing ovation.
all right, now it’s time for our Daily Claudia.
here’s Ms Spouse at the patio door on August 13, 2024.
and here she is on the patio, on April 15, 2024.
before I let you all go, I have to share this. I found it yesterday while going through Ms Spouse’s stuff. it’s a photo of me, from the 1990s, and whoever I was posing with has been torn away, presumably by Claudia. I have no idea who I was standing next to, or why they needed to be un-personned. it’s a mystery that will never be solved.
have a great Wednesday, everyone.
here’s your daily reminder that I can be found on Blue Sky at this link.
this is going to be my closing message for the foreseeable future:
practice self-care. do what you need to do to keep sane. if that means you need to disengage with my daily posts for a while, I get it. this community of ours will still be here when you return.
to all the people who have signed on in the days since the election, welcome aboard. settle in as we all try to deal with the shitfuckery that’s ahead of us.
we are all in this together, and we are all here for each other.

today in Shit That Happened While I Was Busy Writing Shit Shit—
