full disclosure: I'm pretty sure I lifted "this guy’s uncle is a toaster, and the government has files that prove this but refuses to release them" from a Mark Alan Stamaty comic that appeared in the Village Voice about 40 years ago, but google found no evidence of this

Babe Paley's avatar

That's funny--there was a guy I liked in college who was friends with me but dating a girl who was really stupid, and my friend and I called her Toaster because she was dumber than an unplugged toaster, and I really can't remember why that was the appliance we chose.

HI2thDoc's avatar

She was dumb but hot?

FTrump And FPutin Too's avatar

She was as dumb as a popped tart!

Babe Paley's avatar

I hope we were that clever!

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

“Hot” yet dumb, never fails to disappoint Doc. Tosspots and wastrels come in a variety of sizes, shapes, colors, ages, even sexes, but damn!!

Phil Burns's avatar

She just sat there without any element-al clue?

Linda Weide's avatar

What is not funny, is that men in the US date women that they can disparage like that. If he thought she was dumb, what was he doing dating her. He is the loser.

John Wiederhirn's avatar

Sounds like it was Babe and her friend calling the other girl "Toaster", not the guy.

Linda Weide's avatar

Not clear which friend called her that, a different friend, or the boyfriend that she was also friends with. If you are correct than I retract what I am saying. It rang a bell though.

Lorraine Parish's avatar

right. maybe he was dumb too but so cute Babe didn't care. i've been there.

George in Atlanta's avatar

Sounds like Mr. Hot Dude got hisself caught between the spokes of a contingent of Middle School Mean Girls on a Hating Spree. Rrrrrowwwrrrr.

Lorraine Parish's avatar

it's a good word unlike calling them a refrigerator although there was a football player with that name. or stove, not good, toaster is perfect

Mwfeiger's avatar

Very accurate description of the guy in the park. I know since I represent individuals who are subject to conservatorships based on 'grave disability'. I'm pretty sure I represented this park guy. He was friends with the man who was traveling to Mars on a stream of urine, and the man who pulled out all his hair to plant it creating GOLD. By the way, could it be that DJT has embraced this planting hair theory? I mean, he has almost no hair and a total fetish for gold...just saying.

Judy Luchsinger's avatar

Tell him about it! Maybe he'll adopt this conspiracy theory as his own ,( please, please).

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

WE could start it as a 'conspiracy theory' just to plant the idea in (on?) his empty head. Just say'n.

Marian Goldsmith's avatar

A Actually everyone responding to this post just did start yet another conspiracy theory. "Theory" being an overstatement. Better watch your language.

VALERIE MELUSKEY's avatar

Bob Bowden's avatar

Maybe your great line was placed on a Pop Tart by agents Scully and Mulder, written in special Pop Tart ink that gets revealed only when heated perfectly on setting #3 and visible for just ten seconds as it pops out of your toaster, so you made the perfect and timely choice for breakfast today!

Irascible Ink's avatar

The wall of wailing text is easily recognizable by anyone who knows a meth head whackaloon. Same shit, minus the ditto sheet.

Linda Weide's avatar

Well, the one thing that surprised me is that he did not include Mamdani and Rosie O'Donnell in his rant. I guess his new perturbances distracted him.

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

then again, there's only so much space inside that tiny brain of his. I know the head's gallon sized but it's mostly filled with rocks.

Linda Weide's avatar

On of my book clubs chose a book about Trump, and while it is not textually difficult, it is difficult for me to read because I hate learning this much about Trump. Don't know whether I will continue it. I feel tainted.

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

Linda, pre-Jeff, I followed (still do occasionally) Mary Trump (his niece) and good friend of E Jean Carroll. They both tell the absolute truth about this vile POS. Mary grew up with her cousins (his oldest three). She’s related sufficient facts TO fill several books - and besides her truths I’ve known so much about how vile he is through my own observances over the years, having grown up in Brooklyn and Queens after arriving here. I wanted to know more about my new Country so read everything, including the daily Newspapers from cover to cover. It became obvious (to me, even then) that he had an insatiable need for notoriety and headlines. Cindy Adams and Steve Dunleavy of the NYPost played into it by giving him every opportunity to ‘sell’ his bullshit. When I began reading Mary’s accounts about growing up ‘trump’ she only confirmed what I already knew. I wouldn’t put myself through the ‘taint’ of reading any book which tries to clean him up (if that’s what the one you’re reading does). Mary’s story of him being laughed at by his family after having a bowl of mashed potatoes dumped on his head by his older brother because he was nonstop tormenting his even younger brother and refused to stop became a lifelong grudge for him. He’s STILL seeking revenge for that perceived ‘insult’. What a whiny child. Now our entire Country (indeed, the World) is suffering because he’s a sociopath.

Some lines are so good, the subconscious just stores them away until a time of need.

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

I know it's VERY late but I heard this from a fantastically lovely woman who dissects donny on instagram. Christina - something (I'll look up her actual handle when my phone's fully charged later. She talks into the camera with the most delightful 'Julia Sugarbaker' Southern accent which makes even 'fuck' sound quite lovely. She just happened to post about what's going on with Ghislaine Maxwell WHOSE hearing in front of Scotus is occurring July 14 - tomorrow! (oops, today). I had no idea. Frump wanted her pardoned or released (can't remember which). I'll have to play back her mention of it again. It's too interesting, occurring right at this time, no?

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

just following up to this. Her handle is Christinatalkst (tea abbreviated). She's AMAZING and very worthy of an IG follow. I think she might also be on Tik tok but ran afoul of that platform in some way(?) - I'd dozed off while replaying one of her videos and only caught a disjointed bit as my phone shut down. She comes across (to me) as Jeff in female form but with a Southern accent. ;) Sufficient people had remarked upon her good looks she felt obligated to show herself as she really looks since she uses a filter. I didn't see much of a difference. short dark hair, gorgeous eyes and begins many posts with 'well, well, well' referring to frump as 'orange daddy'. She has him pegged to a 'tee'. Between her and Jeff I'm getting nothing else done! :)

Andrea Scott's avatar

Is there still a Village Voice?

George in Atlanta's avatar

Indeed. Back then, when some of us were reading the Voice, it's possible a memory neuron or two was replaced by delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. Just sayin'.

Ann Anderson's avatar

Speaking of names that may or may not be on a list that may or may not exist: Someone was Florida AG during the prime Epstein sex-trafficking years, and her name rhymes with Blondie. There are reports of MAGAites burning their red hats. The Streisand Effect never worked better and schadenfreude never tasted so good.

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

the whole thing stinks. Donny also appointed the prosecutor who first let Epstein off with a slap on the wrist. I forget his name.

and everyone in the files, Democrat or Republican, needs to be prosecuted

Ann Anderson's avatar

Did you see Dershowitz saying I know all the names? Can't speak 'em cuz client privilege and judge's orders. A steak sandwich and a fifth of Jack would probably do the trick.

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

Dersh might not be the most reliable of narrators.

Kate's avatar

Oh I wish Dooshowitz would just STFU!

Babe Paley's avatar

Yeah, and that's a lie. If he did know (and how?) he could have said, because I can't imagine a "privilege" in the law that would prevent him. He says the judge (WHO?) and privilege keeps him from revealing, but there's nothing I can think of that would support such a thing.

He's wanting attention.

Ann Anderson's avatar

It's a given that attention ho wants attention but I also think he's trying to indemnify himself.

Michelle Vancura's avatar

It was Alexander Acosta, who was awarded with the position of Labor Secretary by Donald Trump in his first term. Democrats wanted him to resign because of the way he handled the Epstein sex trafficking case in 2008.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Beat me to it Michelle, he was one of the many who retreated from Trump’s Insanity in his first term.

Kate's avatar

Alex Acosta—he’s another florduh piece of trash.

arne link's avatar

Is there something in the water in Florida? So many pieces of trash float to the surface down there.

Heather's avatar

Absolutely. Every last one of them. When it comes to crime, especially of such a heinous nature, political party doesn’t matter.

Richard Von Busack's avatar

"What if Bill Clinton is on the list, eh?" That is not the sick burn they think it is.

skangirl's avatar

I'm pretty sure we can take the truth. (Sorry for Hillary and Chelsea but they've survived scandal and betrayal before. They would have lots of support.)

Nancy Potter's avatar

If the E-mail lady is clever and diabolical enough to come up with the Epstein list (and even put Bill's name on there to hide her tracks or exact revenge) she's not clever and diabolical enough to keep a copy, and release it or drip it out when it serves her purposes?

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

THAT is where their 'logic' and 'commonsense' fall apart. Of course they've never had either. Meanwhile - back at the ranch, Hillary Clinton was, in fact, as Secretary of State visiting Countries controlled by THE worst males in the history of our Planet and getting IN THEIR FACES about their countries' women's rights. She was voted MOST POPULAR WOMAN IN THE WORLD for - I believe it was 8 - 10 years straight? Supplanted only by Michelle Obama! Hillary was credited with saving SO many women's lives, those who lived under the most severely tyrannically misogynistic rule, even while magats were trashing her back here in her own country for made up bullshit..

KMD's avatar

His name was Alex Acosta.

HI2thDoc's avatar

A corrupt POS, meaning a perfect MAGA

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

We need to add the 't' - they're magaTs. If pronounced quickly (slurred), it differentiates from those claiming to believe they are actually making this country 'great' to show their real purpose in life. ;) (I HATE flies, but even more so, their offspring).

Michelle Vancura's avatar

Thank you. I’d forgotten about some of this. I hate at the end how Trump said he felt very badly for Acosta. Trump was and still is a despicable POS who no doubt was thrilled with the outcome of that Epstein trial, since he was one of those pedophiles who a abused those young girls.

SPW's avatar

I think the prosecutor’s last name is Alex Acosta. He was in 45’s admin. as labor secy.

Cheryl Seybert's avatar

Couldn’t agree more!!

Linda Weide's avatar

Streisand Effect? I've heard it, but don't get it.

Runfastandwin's avatar

The more you try and bury something the more it gets publicity. Based on a Barbra Streisand wedding that refused access to the press as I understand it.

meryl selig's avatar

Thx. Had no clue either

insert_something_creative's avatar

FWIW, it's from a time that she sent a cease and desist to a photographer because they posted a picture of her house online — only the photographer was just someone documenting coastal erosion and no one even knew it was her house until she demanded it be taken down. Thus, the Streisand effect was coined because in doing so, she generated much more attention about it than if she had done nothing.

Editing to add the source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect

This is my favorite part that illustrates the meaning: the picture "had been downloaded only six times prior to Streisand's lawsuit, two of those being by Streisand's attorneys; public awareness of the case led to more than 420,000 people visiting the site over the following month."

Runfastandwin's avatar

That sounds about right...

Ann Anderson's avatar

It means that when you get bad publicity, STFU. Talking about it brings more attention to the story than it would have otherwise.

Ginny K's avatar

Scam Blondi! Also: Bill Barr is deeply involved with Epstein and the cover up. And SCOTUS is about to get Maxwell's appeal from her criminal conviction.

Steve houlette's avatar

Epstein files must have real bad trump vignettes. The guy who bragged about shooting someone on 5th avenue in nyc and getting away with it, who skated on an insurrection, who wasn’t affected by grab em by the pussy idiocy doesn’t want us to see what’s in there, whoa Nellie it must be bad, probably criminal. But his moronic cult can be talked out of anything. So it must be real bad. And those tools bondi and krazy eyes don’t resign?

Sarah #1's avatar

The evidence of Trump’s relationship with Epstein is too well-documented, too public, and too repeated to be unknown to his most vocal supporters, especially the conspiracy-obsessed ones. It’s not that they don’t know, they refuse to integrate what that knowledge means. They’ve wrapped their identities in the myth of Donald as the hero waging war against a corrupt elite. Thus allowing them to dissociate and ignore that their hero is the rot at the top. Instead they erase him from the conversation about Epstein. The fact that Trump is likely the central figure of any credible list is so threatening to their twisted worldview that they’d rather deny his obvious relationship with Epstein, burn down truth itself, and rewrite reality altogether.

The biggest outrage for MAGA loyalists isn’t human suffering, injustice, or authoritarian overreach. It’s that the Justice Department said Epstein didn’t keep an “incriminating client list.” That’s what sends them into a false frenzy. Not people dying, people being torn away from their home, children in cages, not legal chaos. Just the Epstein list, one that would almost certainly include Trump. It’s a case study in moral collapse and performative outrage while REAL human harm goes ignored.

longtimebirdwatcher's avatar

Keep in mind, he also said in his post, "We are the PERFECT administration, the TALK OF THE WORLD". You bet we are, but you could probably change "TALK" to "LAUGHINGSTOCK" of the world and be more accurate. The Profumo scandal had nothing on t. G7 will probably throw us out for moral inturpitude, and I hate to think of the jokes Xi and p are making. He made this bed, let him lie in it. Let me edit this. What can the Nobel Peace Prize Committee be thinking? And to think, they probably already tossed out the letter from Netanyahu, a known committer of genocide.

Babe Paley's avatar

That's so wacky to me--none of his MAGA people would even CARE if he were in the Epstein files, as they know he must be in at least some way. They already know. Why would they be afraid of disclosing that? MAGA people will just be like, "he's a spy! He's trying to save children! Hoax by Hilary!"

But NOT showing whatever is flipping out the MAGAs and it makes me laugh.

HI2thDoc's avatar

By not showing the files, it lets their conspiracy theories run wild. You're right-just revealing the facts, even if they are enormously damning of drumpf, would not bother his zombies as much as not knowing for sure

Babe Paley's avatar

That's so right--they can rationalize so many things, but this lets their stupid brains run wild.

longtimebirdwatcher's avatar

"brains" being an overstatement...

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

Here's one possibility: that Epstein KEPT A RECORD of what frump did to Katie Johnson. Possible? If THAT is in there - and they can't figure out a way to erase it without making it obvious.

rlritt's avatar

I agree. The Epstein files have been known for years. MAGA folks wouldn't care if he had sex with 12 year olds because treating women with disrespect for being women is part of their code. If a 12 year old is doing older guys in their penthouse it's because they're whores and what do you expect real men to do but have sex with them. I know everyone thinks MAGA are the moral majority, but they are far from it.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

skangirl's avatar

There are plausible accusations of forcible rape of at least one young teen by both trump and epstein. These women would need witness protection if they testify, but how cool would it be?

rlritt's avatar

Sadly his supporters won't care. The trampy girls were lying, his jealous friends were lying, he did it but only because the girls were lying, he did it because he's a macho man and the girls loved him. No way in hell Loser POSUS Trump wrote that "UNTRUTH" post. He may have whined something similar incoherently to … Bondi?

I think those files went into Trump's safe. He can use them to blackmail MANY people around the world. Epstein's work of amassing compromising evidence on people in power for Israeli Intelligence will be put to further nefarious use. Trump learned the art of sleaze from his mentor Roy Cohn

He’s fucking you MAGA, and us as well. A lot of the evidence is circling the independent media sites in plain view. Do your own research. Don’t just take Fox’s word for things. What you will realize if you pursue the facts with a mind open to different views other than the propaganda being force fed to you, is that DJT is THE DEEP STATE AND A PEDOPHILE.

You may also realize that none of the accomplishments Trump (or Bondi) are bragging about are reality. The American public, both Liberals and Conservatives, are being played for suckers by the current Republican regime. They need us to hate each other. They need us to focus on manufactured crisis and emergencies, to distract us all from being robbed blind and being betrayed to our factual enemies. FUX SKEWS THE NEW - WE ALL LOSE.

The battle underway should be between all of us and the billionaire cabal that wants it all for themselves. They will forgive trump for any despicable sin or failure, as long as he acts in their interests first. They want us all under their repressive thumb enslaved for their enrichment.

You have a choice to make. Will you be duped and support this traitorous regime, or will you defend a free and diverse America? If you choose to stand behind the criminal Trump and his Palantir sponsored VP Vance, you can rest assured that eventually they reward your misguided loyalty by sacrificing and discarding you. If the ultra rich succeed, they won’t want to tarnish their reputation by associating with us common folk. To them, we are all the marks, the suckers and the vermin.

My thoughts exactly. We are in yet another "Wag the Dog" moment.

I thought Rosie O’Donnell created the Epstein File

I truly believe that, in a fight to the death, Rosie would make mincemeat out of Shitler.

He must have forgotten her in the rush to justify himself.

IKR. I was surprised she didn’t pop up somewhere 🫤

Who could ever predict that the MAGATS would lose faith in Trump because of THIS ???

Files! files! Give us the files !!!

Such joy to hear Trump begging the MAGATS to play for his team !!!

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

MAGATS aren't outraged because Trump might be in the Epstein files (he was put on that list by Hillary, after all). The shit gibbons are throwing it with both hands because he's cheated them out of the mother lode of bananas -- evidence that the liberal elitists operating in the Dark State are pedophiles. He spoiled their party.

"It's never enough for some people!" My favorite part of this whine. He is the whiniest man I ever heard of.

KMD's avatar

Whiney & petty. Oh, and full of bullshit. It's not a good combination.

Through in a heavy dose of delusional psychotic ignorant narcissism and we’re royally fvcked🤯

Liar, Fraud, Con, Scumbag, Grifter, Racist, Fascist, Felon, Putin's Puppet, Traitor, America's Disgrace Trump is living in FANTASYLAND. Scumbag Trump has gone COMPLETELY OFF THE RAILS. A few months ago, Trump ass-wiper AG Bondi said she had the Epstein client list on her desk. Now, Trump ass-wiper Bondi says there is no Epstein client list. Was she lying months ago, or is she lying now? One thing is for sure, Scumbag Trump is a proven liar, and it is not surprising that Trump ass-wiper Bondi is a liar as well.

Scumbag Trump is the WORST FUCKING PRESIDENT THE U.S. HAS EVER HAD. IN FACT, FAR WORSE than any other President. I pray, and i encourage all of Jeff's readers to join me in praying, for Scumbag, Piece-of-Shit Trump to suffer either a massive heart attack or a massive debilitating stroke. I can't wait to PISS ON Scumbag Trump's GRAVE.

Cyndi's avatar

I'd join you if the next two in line weren't JD and Mike. They are just as incompetent and evil, but they are easier to miss because they are less insane.

arne link's avatar

I believe that it was always the plan to destroy him and put Couch-fucker in charge. It's a horrible choice and I believe that it will happen, either through death or removal.

Cyndi's avatar

I am afraid that you are correct. I just wonder if it will be before the midterms. He is deteriorating rapidly, and he wasn't that much to begin with.

arne link's avatar

You'll have to stand in a very long line, and probably camp out. It would be worth it, though.

JOEL's avatar

I am so looking forward to doing it! I would stand in line even if the line was a mile long!

arne link's avatar

Maybe some entrepreneur will arrange bus trips? That would be convenient.

Key fact to know: Blondi always lies; she has never NOT lied--I'd question the veracity and require an slate of indepedent witnesses if she told me she had had Cheerios for breakfast. Therefore, in the Case of the Brigadoon Epstein Files and which time Blondi was lying, the inquiry "porque no los dos?" applies.

Dave Drell's avatar

But she didn’t lie when she said it’s on her desk right now for her review.

THEN the fun started!

I'm making popcorn on the stove, because my microwave takes pictures of me and sends it to Pam Bondi.

(I'll show myself out)
