yes, I googled to make sure there really is a Whole Foods in Greenwich, because JOURNALISTIC INTEGRITY

Megan Ross's avatar

I'd love to see Kamala Harris flip the script on the people who want to interview her. She should ask them why they print stories that have no merit, like the garbage they're printing about Tim Walz's military service. It's journalistic malfeasance.

Lynell(VA by way of MD&DC)'s avatar

Also, she should tell them up front that she has no interest in spending her time answering questions about the former guy; that she'd be happy to address policy questions or anything else she is campaigning on.

P123Sunny's avatar

Or do a ‘warm up-interview’ where she has a big whiteboard with some basic, legit questions on it - WHICH SHE ANSWERS - then do the ‘live’ interview …already having set the bar herself / so they don’t have to…?!

Lynell(VA by way of MD&DC)'s avatar

Ahh, shades of Katie Porter...love it!

P123Sunny's avatar

She can even say: “First let’s cover the most basic questions we all KNOW the press wants answers to…” ;)

Lynell(VA by way of MD&DC)'s avatar

Yes! Lead them where they need to go, Sunny!

Chris Hierholzer's avatar

Unfortunately we don't live in that world. We live in the world of tongue strokes and kool-aid.

Lynell(VA by way of MD&DC)'s avatar

I think she can create whatever world she wants to; it's her campaign not theirs.

bruce somers's avatar

It seems MSM has been lulled into stupidity from too much exposure to the babbling idiot cult, I believe Madam President is going to cure them of that.

LORI D's avatar

She will take a page out of Jen Psaki's playbook and wipe the floor with them.

P123Sunny's avatar

Yeah. Now we’re satisfied with all those cheap sugary lollipops at the bottom of the trick-or-treat bag (as far as 'reporting' is concerned)… smdh

SPW's avatar

That would completely break a few brains. They have no intelligent questions prepared nor have they the intelligence anymore to come up with any. Maybe if they would stop drooling over what’s-his-face’s butt smears for news, they could find at least one policy question for her. That may be asking too much though.

bruce somers's avatar

They usually just shout out Repub talking points.

bruce somers's avatar

I've happily enjoyed some Democratic push-back recently, something like 'That's a really stupid question'

Linda Weide's avatar

I love that she is ignoring them though. The whole situation has been flipped. They are not discussing Biden at all. He has disappeared. Trump gets the benefit of the doubt in all coverage even the criticism of his voice and interview did not lead to cries for him to step down because he clearly is not able to govern. Harris and Walz are right to go right to the people. The people love them and the press can just shut down for all I care. MSM and anyone who emulates them are worthless to our democracy and if they aren't good for that what are they good for? I can be more entertained, in a more healthy way watching the ants on the sidewalk carry a crumb to their hill. I love the wave of blue washing over our nation. Especially good news is that the Evangelical Christians, Trump's base are zooming for Harris too. https://charlotteclymer.substack.com/p/wait-evangelicals-for-harris

bruce somers's avatar

Yes!! We the PEOPLE,are the power, not the media, or really the politicians, maybe Republicans want elect any babbling idiot they can find to 'own the libs',but the voters will have the final say, idiot Bobo is threatened,Ted Cruz is threatened,Josh Hawley is threatened,by voters, not violence, states are in play that weren't before, because maybe voters have at least one thing in common,we want our politicians to serve the interests of the American people, not themselves,or whatever billionaire who will stick some cash in their pockets. But here's a new twist, seems Republicans have copped the attitude 'FU!! We're ginormous assholes!! Tough shit!! You don't like it,fuck off' Interesting tactic to win support, but it seems that's what they're doing.

Linda Weide's avatar

The problem for the Republicans too, at least those who worship Trump, is that rumor hath it that the Tech Bros of Silicon Valley backed JD Vance so that he can be their president. Once Trump wins, they will have JD use article 25 to find Trump incompetent (not many who will disagree with that) and replace him. So, the question is do the Trumpers like JD as much? If not, what would they do? Also, there is another faction that I don't think would like Tech Bros running the country through a proxy, that is the Heritage Foundation and the organizations it represents. As Project 2025 is written, in Chapter 1, White House Office, it seems to be setting up the Chief of Staff to run the country. It is written as a doorkeeper role. When I read the part about signing with an auto signature, I thought, why are they even mentioning this unless there is a plan to extensively use it. While that may be true of all administrations, it certainly means that if a president is not mentally fit he can be manipulated. Then, we also have Putin, who is expecting to manipulate Trump too. The word on the street is that anyone who stays in Russia could have been filmed and spied on, and especially set up or getting themselves into compromising positions which provides Putin with Kompromot. We know Trump has stayed there, and the rumors abound. So, who is going to be in charge with a Trump win is open to interpretation. One thing that is not planned on the Republican end is for We The People to have a voice. That is a situation we should totally be avoiding by voting for Harris-Walz. I am hoping their blue wave is huge.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

The funny thing about the Russian kompromat (which they assuredly have because trump is too stupid not to turn down an underage sex-worker or whatever) is that his base doesn't even care.

Linda Weide's avatar

I was thinking that too, with his conviction for both fraud and rape. Then I saw that there is a group Evangelicals for Kamala Harris, who also had a zoom and did a fundraiser.

https://charlotteclymer.substack.com/p/wait-evangelicals-for-harris

I mean even Trump's core, to whom Project 2025 is largely targeted is being swept into the blue wave. People's natural inclinations to join something that seems good, over something that seems awful is kicking in.

bruce somers's avatar

Veeeery interesting....

Susie in OH's avatar

Agreed. I would like to see a story on how many sports Trump was participating in during the years after being diagnosed with bone spurs. And how about a story on how many white European workers Trump has brought in using special visas each year, what jobs they were given and how many are still in the U.S. Oh, and make it for the last 20 years and how many have broken laws since he brought them here, how many are women and how many gave birth here.

bruce somers's avatar

If we had something akin to 'investagative journalism' anymore, maybe the Saudi bribe to Trump would of been reported in 2016,or reports of Russia and China laundering money through Trump properties, there would be no George Santos,or just maybe the MSM would stop treating campaign releases as gospel truth,to always go unchallenged.

linda's avatar

I would LOVE that.

Carlye Hooten's avatar

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I've been hoping for the very same thing. What could they possibly do that's worse? Change her words around so they mean something insubstantial or wrong? Oh wait...

The Tiedrich Standards of journalistic integrity are now, as I’m given to understand, on the standard curricula at the Columbia school of journalism. Regrettably, a number of Columbia professors are currently under investigation for allegedly plagiarizing Tiedrich. A messy situation for sure.

arne link's avatar

Uh, we all plagiarize Jeff. His work is too good not to share.

Megan Ross's avatar

Sharing and plagiarizing are two very different things! 😁

Emmy's avatar

I don't plagiarize, I just lift it whole and restack. It's more lazy than evil.

arne link's avatar

Ok, I share Jeffs' work intact, giving him full credit. There, fixed it.

Emmy's avatar

Yes! That's what I meant...honest.

James Starr's avatar

just give jeff a shout out or credit and it's not plagiarizing

SPW's avatar

I do make it a point to give Jeff credit. He works hard to give us such good material that the least I can do is give him a footnote.

Anti fascist's avatar

Yes but I always give him credit

Nailed it Jeff! When those five Harris supporters at Whole Foods are finally asked what they think about Vice President Harris running for president, they will be grinning from ear to ear with hope and enthusiasm! Then, without any discussion, they’ll form a human pyramid, while chanting, “WE’RE NOT GOING BACK!”, and, “WE’LL SLEEP WHEN WE’RE DEAD!”

HARRIS-WALZ 2024💥💙

Journalistic integrity?????? What’s that-something to eat???? My mom used to say that! lol (now you know where I get my snarky attitude from!!)

Walt Svirsky's avatar

What is this thing called “journalistic integrity?” I am not knowing.

bruce somers's avatar

I believe it's when MSM thinks bigotry, misogyny, and conspiracy theories should have a seat the debate table.

Kathleen Weber's avatar

If DFF called the press “low IQ,” I'd have to agree with him.

Lynn Horsky's avatar

I wish they would interview you, maybe I'd watch the news again, except for the weather...what was with making everyone pay for the weather instead of a national weather bureau? It's easy to forget Whole Paycheck now goes to Bezos and hence the Washington Post......

P123Sunny's avatar

Honestly wondering if it's too late to rein these ppl in... :?

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

I can tell you for those of us in hurricane areas it would be fatal.

Zija Pulp's avatar

I’d expect nothing less. Although I had hoped you’d mention the one in Cambridge, MA, off Central Square.

MountainBoyMike's avatar

I would have been shocked if there WASN'T a Whole Foods in Greenwich!!!...not that there's anything wrong with that!

Dee Whitman's avatar

But you didn't fact-check the origin of the term "border czar," which was coined by GOPs such as Greg Abbott and Steve Scalise -- not by one of the reporters you consistently demean.

I'm not an apologist for *legit* media, which has made and continues to make mistakes. But the legit media isn't uniformly bad, and your consistent hammering away at it is troubling. You're encouraging a right-wing-esque distrust of the press, which will prompt some/many people on the left to unwittingly help the right wing destroy confidence in the press. Is that *really* what you want, the elimination of our only real bulwark against autocracy?

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

can you give me a link to that? then I'll correct the text, thanks

MountainBoyMike's avatar

Dee, Jeff is constantly pointing out that the press - like NYT that I have been a subscriber to for most of my adult life - is not being fair at all!!....they hammer the fuck out of Biden for his age and age related issues, but almost never call trump out for the insane bullshit he babbles on a daily basis...I have the same issues with NYT and is why I canceled my subscription with them...why was trump spewing about christians never having to vote again at one of his hate rallies, not front page news???...that is straight up fascist bullshit right out of hitler's playbook, and nothing about it from the press???...I'm with Jeff on this shit!

the real pambo's avatar

Ironically, the NYT is living up to donald’s past moniker, “the failing New York Times”. A new article popped up yesterday about Hunter Biden’s dealings with the State Dept. and the headline was:

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/08/13/us/politics/hunter-biden-ukrainian-company.html

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

They keep beating that dead equine. I loathe them!

Megan Ross's avatar

The press has been propping up wannabe dicktater TRump, while trashing good and decent people like President Biden and VP pick Tim Walz, WITHOUT doing their due diligence in researching what they're writing. It's 100% their fault if people don't trust them anymore. Their coverage of Walz is disgusting, inflammatory and UNTRUE. How are we supposed to trust journalists who lie to get more "clicks"?!?

Mitch Moncrief's avatar

No the legit or main stream media journalism is not that bad but they normalized Trump beginning in 2015 and only until recently does he not get away with the gibberish . Only now as his campaign collapses since he was unprepared for Harris is he scrutinized more closely. The amount of coverage over the past 9 yrs is not close to what other presidential candidates received. I agree, Kamala does not owe the press anything. Its a sad state when we need to go to The Daily Show to get the inconsistencies, falsehoods, and a look of the raving lunatics at the maga rallies to see just how bad a sh** show is foisted on this model dunning-Kruger crowd.

Megan Ross's avatar

In the 9 years since TRump came on the scene, the mainstream media is "that bad". They got TRump elected by continually hammering on Hillary Clinton and her emails and her "unlikability", while letting TRump slide by not reporting all of the horrible things the guy says and does.

Neal Bravin's avatar

they reported it ""in passing"" like it wasn't a real issue. it wasn't just the pussy grabbing comment, he 'owned' the teen pageant and would go into the girls locker room to check them out while they were changing but hey, he was just making sure everything was ok. he spent a lifetime being a fuckwad who was never really held accountable for his words and actions.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

🎯And stiffing small contracters, and running around partying with Epstein.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

🎯And they knew he was being investigated for ties to Russia, they just chose not to mention it! And they published the easily debunked "Clinton Cash" partisan propaganda. That tore it for me. I can not trust them.

P123Sunny's avatar

Did the DEM donors force Biden to step down?... this has gotten VERY UGLY... everyone had better VOTE BLUE DOWN THE BALLOT🇺🇸

Mitch Moncrief's avatar

I was comparing mainstream media to the jokers who pretend to be fair and balanced or deny school massacres. Compared to them they look good. Yes, the mainstream did a lousy job on exposing the stupidity and failures of trump in 2016 election but unfortunately Comey threw a wrench and Hillary was not the best campaigner.

P123Sunny's avatar

They work for R's. Careerism 101: keep that paycheck coming...

Neal Bravin's avatar

they're not that bad? it's not 9 or 10 years bro'. I grew up in NYC and the press and legal community have been giving him a pass for so long most people forget in all began in NYC in the 60's when he (supposedly raped a 15 year old at his birthday party at the Playboy club). and when he and his dad made a deal with the feds to resolve the discrimination suite against them over not renting their shabby apartments to people of color. or maybe when he told Howard Stern on air that he wanted to fuck Ivanka and play with her tits but unfortunately she was his daughter. this scummy pussy grabbing philanderer is the poster boy for xians??? and none of the msm holds him accountable? geee....

I touch tangentially on a thing that should be explored in more detail: the press acts as if white people from rural states are the only 'real Americans.' what the fuck is that all about

Stephen Brady's avatar

Tim Walz is a white people from a rural heartland state...

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

I know, and the cognitive dissonance it's causing is breaking their brains. picking Walz was a brilliant move by Kamala

Kathleen Weber's avatar

1000% agreement. Walz is amazing!

BTW, by leaving the National Guard, Tim Walz did not “abandon” his commitment to his country. He overfulfilled his commitment by 18 years. Once a National Guardsman has completed his first six year enlistment, he/she is free to quit at any time. Walz has been attacked for years by a disgruntled former subordinate who was angry that Walz was promoted instead of him.

If y ou're interested in a great readable fact check about Tim Walz military service check out:

You can't get a better resume for a good ole white boy than Walz. He has all the basis covered. He has charisma - you either have it or you don't. Part of Obama's popularity was that he had it in overdrive and he was cool. Harris is cool too. Trump is neither charismatic (acting stupid and being made fun of is not charisma) or cool and Vance is an arrogant, smug a-hole. The two tickets are polar opposites. I'm beginning to sense that the public overall has just had it with Trump and his continuing nonsense and negativity. Even Republicans are over it. I did hear the interview on Morning Joe today with some Evangelicals who are MAGA. They think it was divine intervention that he survived his "assassination" attempt and that God talks to him so if Trump says it's so, it's so. Wow - uber cult brain washing. There is no hope for people like them. They would have been Koolaid drinkers.

P123Sunny's avatar

Yes he’s super white - but MN has very large minority populations (Mexican, Hmong, Somalian, Ethiopian, Indian - to name few). The man has one amazing ‘experience’ report card ! Yeah KAMALA - nice one!

P123Sunny's avatar

Plus I believe in the last 10+ years MN has grown in diversity at a faster rate than the US overall.

P123Sunny's avatar

Megan Ross's avatar

Eww. I find TRump repulsive.

P123Sunny's avatar

What I like about Walz is the common decency that he brings to the ticket. Decency itself will stand in stark relief to what we’ve all experienced for the last nine years. I think decency will be a very powerful political element in the November election.

bruce somers's avatar

VP Harris is 59,Gov. Walz is 60,I'm 62,I guess we're Gen Xers, I had a paper route when I was 9,cut grass, shoveled driveways, did farm work, started working when I was 16, Army at 17, Pell grant for college,ya know, just normal stuff,so of course I can relate to Harris and Walz, I can't really relate to Ivy Leaguers who grow up with a silver spoon in their mouth, who never really had a real day of stress in their lives.

That really bugs me. I think it's related to the electoral college--it's how a minority of voters (rural people) convince themselves that they should have more electoral power over the majority of us (city slickers), because they are real Americans, and we're not. I constantly hear them saying we'd starve without them (because they're farmers, I guess), but conveniently ignore the reality that we are sending resources to them, not the other way around.

bruce somers's avatar

I live in California, tell me again how I'll starve without the corporate-controlled, foreign owned mega farmers in the Midwest.

shee-rah's avatar

California is the salad bowl and citrus grove of the country. There are also dairy farms in the Central Valley, many owned by descendants of Portuguese immigrants from the Ilhas Açores. And then there’s the tech industry in Silicon Valley. So the Midwest has nothing on California.

arne link's avatar

I just hope that California doesn't burn to the ground one day. The current fires are devastating for people and animals. It's just so sad. I think that anyone convicted of starting a fire on purpose should be publicly executed. Maybe it would deter some of the A-holes.

So much of MAGA identity is wrapped up in WRT.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

A lot of that started with Laura Ingalls Wilder and her myth of the noble, proud independent, farmer who would never take a hand-out from the Gov't. All a libertarian myth, pushed by her daughter, because they needed help so often, and were embarrassed over it.

bruce somers's avatar

I still can't figure out why some land should have voting rights, but that's our Senate system,we're stuck with it,but definitely IMO the filibuster needs to go the way of the the DoDo,Mitch McConnell's legacy will be how he abused the Senate for Republican power grabs.

And deathSantis sucked up something fierce and couldn't make it there.

Let me sum up's avatar

I can tell you this: growing up in Iowa in the 70s & 80s when schools actually taught critical thinking, basically what we learned was to have any semblance of opportunities, we needed to get the hell out to cities and/or blue states.

One of my hometown posters had a "one trillion dollars for illegals" post that people just gobbled up. I pointed out that that would be $545,000 annually and....crickets.

Truly you could say eleventy kabillion dollars & they wouldn't Q it bc it reinforces their existing biases/opportunity to feel superior to the "other."

insert_something_creative's avatar

It's so infuriating — how many times has the mainstream press gone to a Black barber shop in NYC to interview people? Or to a gay bar in the Castro in San Francisco? How about to a reservation to interview Indigenous people? Or interviewing some of the many immigrants to this country?

They have reinforced this idea that "white, straight, rural people are the only actual Americans" bullshit for decades, and it feeds into the right-wing narrative that they are normal and the only ones who matter. Fuck that shit — we are ALL Americans and I'm loving that Harris/Walz are pushing back.

Harris should agree to do media interviews - RIGHT AFTER the media starts releasing the documents on the trump campaign. Just like they did to the Clinton Campaign. If they don't they can fuck all the way off.

Rick Calegari's avatar

Which is the way most of us feel about the press at the moment. The pick and choose bullshit reporting like the typical Sir Anus Lips racist question, "when did Harris decide she was black". WTF, when did his assholiness decide to go orange? The list of questions that should be asked about lispy's shenanigans is endless but are purposely swept under the rug and ignored as always.

Peter Doocy made an ass of himself yesterday at a press conference, again, for his nightly Fox News soundbyte, his attempted 'gotchas',that never actually happen. Little Alfalfa-in-his-dads-cour-suit needs his press credentials pulled.

P123Sunny's avatar

Have we lost the ability to be vigilant - about ANYTHING? I always think about these ppl - scandals pop up - then go away - and the next thing you know they’re weighing in w/an opinion or endorsing someone... Wut?

Lynn O’Neal's avatar

They are afraid to do that after it bit them in the butt with Clinton

Robert Eckert's avatar

Bit THEM in the butt? It bit all the rest of us, but not them.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

For what they did the Clintoin campaign, and now Biden they should fuck off!

Shalone's avatar

The NYT can go straight to hell. Kamala owes them nothing. Let them continue their ass-kissing of Trump. Lots of ass to kiss there.

The Times called me yesterday to see if I wanted to resubscibe….quite sure they were sorry they asked.

Linda Fulcher's avatar

I've been bombarded with emails begging me to re-subscribe. I called them and told them to fuck off and stop bothering me. Same for the WaPo.

Megan Ross's avatar

Ditto. I prefer getting real news from the several Substack authors I subscribe to.

Linda Fulcher's avatar

I also like The Guardian and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Will Bunch, the Inquirer's political columnist, is terrific.

SeekingReason's avatar

The Guardian can be so-so. I used to love them but often times they repeat headlines posted from our unreliable media.

Megan Ross's avatar

I have noticed that too. The Guardian used to be my go-to after I dumped WaPo and the New York Times. Now I'm reading The New Republic and really enjoy it.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

New Republic and Propublica are good.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

I cancelled them because their Washington corespondent started slagging on Joe, real ageist stuff. Long after he stepped down so it was just unnecessary.

SeekingReason's avatar

Megan, Same here. There are so many good reporters and investigative reporters. Judd Legum is very good on Substack. Also Free Speech tv offers a menu of reliable reporters including Amy Goodman on Democracy Now!

Emmy's avatar

I'm willing to bet the NYT never checked to see if there was a Whole Foods in Greenwich, Conn.

bruce somers's avatar

I hate it when life interrupts my streaming of the MeidasTouch Network on YouTube, hehe,it's good stuff.

Susan Niemann's avatar

"journamolism? " and "Donny sound like Sylvester the Cat overdosing on Nyquil. " 😂😂😂

"Without her beauty, Harris might be joining Biden in retirement." WTF?? THAT right there is yet another reason to despise Kathleen Parker. This column needs to be sent to every member of the corporate media!! Kamala is doing JUST FINE without subjecting herself to the idiots in the press. Seems like independent journalism is assuming a front seat. Good.

SeekingReason's avatar

Susan! Sylvester the cat OD on Nyquil….prize winning comment of the week! 😂

Charles Austin's avatar

Kathleen Parker is a nasty piece of work. She always has been.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

yes, she is a self-lothing woman. A republican.

Dave Drell's avatar

Thats a right wingnut pontificating ….

fuck ‘em - no reason to bring that into qualifications of a president. they just a jealous bunch of louts.

bruce somers's avatar

The worthless scribblers flocked to the roach motel to listen to Orange Fuhrer's latest brain diarrhea, which not coincidentally happened at the same time as a Harris campaign rally, which you chose not to cover,(while Fox News did),but now you demand VP Harris grovel to you for your daily clickbait and views?? Do I have that right?? Well,I'm trying to limit my amount of 'F-bombs' I'm dropping on the internet but...

shee-rah's avatar

I’m surprised that they didn’t add something about beautiful women being dumb airheads. That was always the putdown of attractive women. Let’s ask Dumbass Donny for his law school diploma and certification that he passed the Bar if he thinks Kamala is stupid.

P123Sunny's avatar

they're getting sloppy

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Kathleen is a southern Belle, who is wrong about everything, spiteful, and so superficial.

Susan Keefer's avatar

Kamala is smart not to give the hostile press what they want.

Fuck them!

SeekingReason's avatar

It’s time for intelligent people like VP Harris to ignore trumpian reporters. I love that she’s flicking them off! Why give them credibility? We know what they are!

Kathleen Weber's avatar

Fuckity, fuckity, fuck, fuck, fuck!!!!

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Indeed, sometimes only the F-bomb will do.

JustTanNotOrange's avatar

I saw a CNN clip on YouTube (bc I will not pay for cable) of Jessie Ventura doing a kickass job of defending Tim Walz. It reminded me that when he was MN governor, my memory is that he got to the point where he would only do interviews with a certain reporter on MN Public Radio because the rest of the press were jackals.

There’s also a great defense of Tim Walz on Burn the Boats, a Meidas Touch podcast you can watch on YouTube. Watch and share! 💙🌊💙

P123Sunny's avatar

Thx for the heads up... YES Jesse called the press 'jackals' back in the day... before it was fashionable.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

He was correct then, as now.

Kay-El's avatar

It would be irresponsible of me not to speculate that Harris is taking her case to the people before giving two fucks about the head hunters at the press. Harris not caving in to their demands shows who’s really running the show.

Michelle Vancura's avatar

I’m thinking the same. Why give a press conference when she can appear daily to huge crowds and then appear at the Convention next week? What exactly has the press done for her? And Trump’s “press conference” was such a joke, it’s obvious these are not serious, impartial journalists. She owes them nothing.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

She saw what they did to Biden, and he did a good job, so they knifed him in the back with ageism. All while ignoring his all of three years younger opponent.

Stephanie Lajeskie's avatar

I love how when the Trump interview with Apartheid Clyde started an hour late, he claimed it was because there were so many listeners, they broke Twitter. And when he sounded like a speech-slurring wino, lying in the gutter, it was due to the “complexities of modern day technology” (which you know were not Trump’s words, because he doesn’t have that big of a vocabulary). But when his interview with the black journalists started a little bit late, it was because they were incompetent and lazy and so very blackity black.

Susan Niemann's avatar

Apartheid Clyde. 😂😂😂😂 Excellent.

Stephanie Lajeskie's avatar

I know. I can’t remember where I saw that, but I wish I could take credit for it!

Kristy Kanen's avatar

Nah, tRump was LATE , to both events, gotta make em squirm & make a grand entrance 🙄

Megan Ross's avatar

TRump probably needed a diaper change...

bruce somers's avatar

The interview with the black journalists started late because they wanted to do 'live fact-checking',and Trumpy will never allow that, that was the delay.

Stephanie Lajeskie's avatar

Of course he blamed the black journalists.

Megan Ross's avatar

LOL 🤣 "...Sylvester the Cat overdosing on NyQuil." I'm still laughing!! I read that "hit job" by Parker and wondered how in the Hell a woman could write that drivel. Oh well, we'll vote for the Harris/Walz ticket and down ballot Democrats anyway.. TRump is toast. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

HI2thDoc's avatar

MAGA stooges gonna start lisping now in support of their criminal idol?

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

My thoughts exactly! Imagine if every Trump wastrel suddenly develops a speech impediment! Fabulous piece Jeff!!

bruce somers's avatar

If you ever sniffed a helium balloon?? That's what it sounded like...maybe some enterprising Dem slipped a tank in there...hehe.

Deb Martina's avatar

I'm with you... it'll all be over in November

Megan Ross's avatar

Well, we'll have to deal with the Cult 45 members raising hell and Trump's complete meltdown, but oh well.

bruce somers's avatar

I'm used to the bitching and whining,Repubs bitch,Dems just win.

Shalone's avatar

Let’s hope so. I’m worried that Trump will have his minions out to attack those who don’t go along with their agenda.

bruce somers's avatar

That's a distinct possibility, but he won't be doing it from the WH this time.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

With the big issue being county and state electors who refuse to certify the vote!

P123Sunny's avatar

(have you met Maureen Dowd?)

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

🤢🤮Such an evil person.

bruce somers's avatar

Nikki Haley kissed the ring,so did Tim Scott and Byron Donalds,(hey guys!! You do realize Trumpy just wants disenfranchise BLACK VOTERS!! Of course they do) MAGA means abandoning all traces of 'character'.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Abby From Maine's avatar

She could have a "Press Conference" like little Donnie's! Have Rachael Maddow do a LONG phone interview! I'd even listen to that one! :-)

Megan Ross's avatar

Or even on Rachel's show!, Kamala comes off well on camera and is extremely likable.

Alison Parker's avatar

She should make a big loud announcement about doing a press conference, invite all the major media sources, make them wait half an hour, walk to the lectern, lean into the mic, and say "FUCK ALL Y'ALL" before walking back out and heading off to do an interview with some TikTok star.

SuNew's avatar

Kathleen Parker? She’s like Nurse Ratched with a pen.

HulitC's avatar

You’re being too nice about Parker.

Geoff Anderson's avatar

There's a reason why she has been featured twice by my on my 'stack as "this fucking guy", I guess it is time for a third turd from that wench.

Alison Parker's avatar

Makes me glad our last name is very common, so that I can be 99.9999999% sure she and I aren't related.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

She is nurse Ratched with a pen.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Why doesn't the MSM cover trump's connections to Epstein, or the Egypt-$10 million thing?

Deb's avatar

Fuckwad is using Epstein's old plane!!!! Of course his campaign said they didn't know it:!

Can you imagine if a Dem would be using Epstein's old plane?

Dave Drell's avatar

There are SO MANY scandals and illegal ops with this schmuck, they tend to get

minimized and fade into the past.

bruce somers's avatar

The crime family that already grifted $670 million while in the WH,and wants to be installed again...MSM? Nothing to see here...

bruce somers's avatar

And media should be asking Bill Barr about killing the investigation about a little $10 million dollar cash contribution to the Trump campaign from the Saudis, our old friends that Dubya let fly out of the country on 9/11.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

That's the million dollar question, isn't it?

Jennifer Dyke's avatar

I once had a great deal of respect for the press; I even have a BA in journalism! The old time journalists will be the first to say that media outlets are now owned by big, money-grubbing companies far more interested in sensationalism, ratings and clicks than substance and facts (and I'm not just referring to Fox News). And with the growth of the Internet and the popularity of social media, things continue to get worse. Now add in almost ten years of bullshit from Trump and his MAGA cult and, well, we're in disaster territory. Kamala Harris has better things to do right now than stop for individual press interviews. I guess no one noticed that she and Walz have been running ragged trying to fit months of campaigning into the last few weeks. You're right, Jeff -- the press needs to "stuff it!"

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Those living in reality will say that for sure, thiose living in the past seem not to be up on things.

Alison Parker's avatar

Also, I do so love (meaning hate) the 180 on a woman politician's looks. With Clinton, it was "OMG SHE TOO UGLY" (which was simply wrong) and now with Harris it's suddenly "OMG SHE TOO PURDY". Fuck these people.

Megan Ross's avatar

I never understood why the press hammered Hillary so much for being "unlikable". She was plenty likeable before the press kept saying, over and over, how unlikable she was. Yet they glossed over all of TRump's glaring wrongdoings like it was normal behavior. TRump is a despicable cretin with no redeeming qualities. Not one!

bruce somers's avatar

Nevermind he's so beastly ugly himself too,he belongs under a bridge with MTG.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

😂🤣😂🤣😁😉

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Misogyny is a helluva drug and too many younger men and women, read all the Russian troll smears, and believed them.

P123Sunny's avatar

"Does Kamala Harris smile too much?" - (honestly misogyny has hit the wall...)

Megan Ross's avatar

I love her smile and the joy both she and Tim Walz exude! It's a great feeling to be joyful and hopeful again. ☺️

bruce somers's avatar

I believe they're smiling because they're winners and they know it.

Lynn Van Haren's avatar

As it has always been in our paternalistic society. Ugh!!!

bruce somers's avatar

They're definitely reaching...I think with the MAGAs it's still the 'she looks like the cheerleader who wouldn't go out with me' incel crap.

Kathleen Weber's avatar

Once a National Guardsman has completed his first six year enlistment, he/she is free to quit at any time. Walz did not “abandon” his commitment to his country. He overfulfilled his commitment by 18 years. Walz has been attacked for years by a disgruntled former subordinate who was angry that Walz was promoted instead of him.

If y ou're interested in a great readable fact check about Tim Walz military service check out:

https://www.snopes.com/news/2024/08/12/walz-military-service

I love Snopes Fact checks. Clearly written.

Megan Ross's avatar

I read a great article online from a local Minnesota paper yesterday (sorry, I can't remember which one) and they absolutely defended Walz's service record with actual facts.
