I did look to me as though it's *possible* that the shooter's right foot was run over by the car tire. You'll notice in the one still photo that he's holding the foot off the ground, as if his toes may have been pinched or something indicating a temporary "ouch". Nonetheless, he's a murderer.
There are several different views of this murder, the one of a side angle where you can clearly see him reach over to shoot into the front window while his fellow henchman reaches into the car has them both well out of the way of that moving wheel.

He was 100% not injured. In Stupid Hitler's screed of lies, the part about "recovering in the hospital" is one of the more blatant lines of bullshit. Not only was the ICE goon not in the path of the car AT ALL when he fired the shots, the video shows him *walking away unscathed and unbothered* by what he had just done. No limping or anything and so unbothered that they blocked a bystander who was a doctor from trying to administer aid to the woman they'd just shot three times.

At the risk of sounding All About ME, yesterday was the anniversary of the Eaton fire that came frighteningly close to my house (yards, not miles), and took my daughter's house and neighborhood completely. Seeing the "one year on" videos and photos of that terrifying few days is literally painful. Then this shooting... I'm from Minneapolis, and I know the street it took place on. The familiarity of seeing the snow, the houses.... Hard to explain, but it's quite visceral. I was paralyzed yesterday with anger, fear, disgust, hatred, and all the other words that still can't convey the reality. I feel dead inside. I did look to me as though it's *possible* that the shooter's right foot was run over by the car tire. You'll notice in the one still photo that he's holding the foot off the ground, as if his toes may have been pinched or something indicating a temporary "ouch". Nonetheless, he's a murderer.
There are several different views of this murder, the one of a side angle where you can clearly see him reach over to shoot into the front window while his fellow henchman reaches into the car has them both well out of the way of that moving wheel.
Yes, and during most of it, the view of his foot (and the front tire) is blocked by the other officer's legs. I'm not in any way defending his actions - just saying that his toes could have been pinched, resulting in the "injury" alleged by trump and Noem. (Edit: I have since seen a clearer video which shows he'd have to wear a size 20 shoe in order to have his toes under that tire!)

He was 100% not injured. In Stupid Hitler's screed of lies, the part about "recovering in the hospital" is one of the more blatant lines of bullshit. Not only was the ICE goon not in the path of the car AT ALL when he fired the shots, the video shows him *walking away unscathed and unbothered* by what he had just done. No limping or anything and so unbothered that they blocked a bystander who was a doctor from trying to administer aid to the woman they'd just shot three times.
All of this is so tragic, so rage-inducing, and so fucked up it brought me to tears. It's bad enough that they murdered this woman in cold blood but then to assassinate her character afterward is more than I can take. Her poor daughter seeing her mom's name dragged through the mud by the regime to justify her murder. She was trying to get away. If you look at the trajectory of her vehicle, it’s not heading toward the ICE agent. And the fact that they’re (once again) telling us to ignore what we saw with our own eyes—and that people are actually doing so —is unbearable.

At the risk of sounding All About ME, yesterday was the anniversary of the Eaton fire that came frighteningly close to my house (yards, not miles), and took my daughter's house and neighborhood completely. Seeing the "one year on" videos and photos of that terrifying few days is literally painful. Then this shooting... I'm from Minneapolis, and I know the street it took place on. The familiarity of seeing the snow, the houses.... Hard to explain, but it's quite visceral. I was paralyzed yesterday with anger, fear, disgust, hatred, and all the other words that still can't convey the reality. I feel dead inside. Not giving up, but I understand why so many of us feel like it.

The Minneapolis police chief said yesterday that they'd done a preliminary investigation, but were releasing the scene to the Feds. I'd bet it wasn't voluntary.
They have since issued statements of protest indicating that it was absolutely not voluntary.
