Why do the Nazis cover their faces? Could it be that they don't want anyone to know who they are, like their boss or their neighbors? Who are they hiding from?

This has been the most unusual time in our nations history when which side you support is can cause major disruption. My older brother, Vietnam vet that I once looked up to started attacking me on face book every chance he got-not for any post but because he knew I didn’t like trump so I left Facebook that before Donald Trump was my way of connecting with my family in the east coast but became a nightmare after. I couldn’t believe how my brother changed. We’ll never speak again and it’s been years now.

Lisa, not all of us that took an oath to uphold the laws of the United States, and wore an American Flag on our sleeve, badge on our chest, ever wore a hood, a member of the KKK, or any other became a member of any other organization which didn’t uphold to the principles of the Constitution or our government.

But, I will be the first to admit that we had a lot of bad apples in the barrel. The issue for every department is culling them out before it’s to late, and preventing more from getting into the rank and file.

TJTarheel's avatar

Right. And most do honor their oaths, and years ago, before it became badge of shame or honor people could openly name their politics, explain why, and that was that. We used to sit in the canteen on our big 20 minute breaks and discuss issues, agree or disagree and never took it personally.

When G. W. Bush won against Gore I was shocked but even then I could say that without anyone getting enraged.

I wouldn’t live anywhere else than Broward County in South Florida, because my late husband and I founded an environmental organization that uses our own fleet of canoes to accomplish waterway cleanups and after 30 years and hundreds of cleanups and helping volunteers feel like environmental heroes I’m not stopping now. I remember when we had Democrats as Governors, and even some Repubs weren’t too bad. In 2020 I finally overcame all the obstacles to becoming an American citizen (I was born in Canada) and immediately signed up to vote Democrat and vote for Biden. All our younger volunteers are also voting Democrats, so don’t give up on our beautiful state. Maybe the old Northerners who’ve brought their rethuglican beliefs with them will croak soon, or another hurricane will wipe out The Villages.

Good luck with that, Donna. Seems the more hurricanes hit the state the more northerners moving to the state. The Villages just get bigger and bigger!

DeStupid has turned so much farmland into concrete in that state that he’s allowed to to go from second in production of good and produce to fifth or sixth in the nation, behind California, Texas, Arizona, Washington state, and New Mexico. That’s what’s appalling.

I think there should be a carve-out from the free speech clause for nazis, neo-nazis and nazi sympathizers. It has no place in civilized society. And aren’t they our sworn enemy we fought in WW2? They are deemed a hate group and terrorist organization. Can individual citizens or states declare themselves as Nazi free zones, like they can do with guns? Nazism is essentially anti-American.

All hell is breaking loose down here because Nazis, Moms for Liberty, Proud Boys & other hate groups vote for DeSatan, Pedo Gaetz, & BaT Boy Scott. FL is mecca for them. I went to a school board meeting here last week that lasted 5 hours. I attended in support of the NAACP. Board meeting was supposed to be focused on rejecting the new African American standards (slavery is beneficial). Instead, Moms For Liberty & Proud Boys hijacked the meeting & held the rest of us hostage reading graphic pornography allegedly found in school libraries. Now the school board members are getting death threats. Nothing will be done because law enforcement is extremely pro DeSatan, & DeSatan endorsed many M4Liberty candidates.

Werner Herzog is a German movie director who, several years ago, tweeted something along the lines of "if you've got a Nazi at the table with ten friends, you've got eleven Nazis...."

Karl Popper said "Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them..."

But I like the meme that says "our grandparents didn't vote for fascists - they shot them."

If your beliefs require that you cover your entire face in public so that no one you know sees you, you may want to re-evaluate your life and ask why you're afraid to be seen by anyone who knows you. Could it be that maybe you're a simpering shitstain on the crusty underwear of life?

Do you think, perhaps, that in a society that never runs out of ways to be shitty to people that maybe you're not helping?
