Thats a beautiful way to end the week….we need more Pam Hemphills.

AOC and Crockett seem to be the only people really sinking their teeth into a strong counter narrative. Eye-opening article by Greg Palest and his research that by his numbers prove Harris would have won without voter suppression. I didn't know some states never bother to check and count provisional ballots. https://hartmannreport.com/p/trump-lost-vote-suppression-won-c6f

Basically, somehow, we all have to fight to get honest voting systems and to suppress what happened in GA and other states with vigilantes "reporting" so-called "illegal" voters without their knowledge, along with fighting for better laws against voter suppression. Everyone needs to double check their eligibility at least 6 months before an election, or dependent on what the state requires, to make sure they haven't been purged.

Palast says forget about the Musk voting machine crap. Yet, I had read somewhere that those with enough electronic knowledge and an inside edge could easily convert votes as they're transferred to the mainframe system. Why did Musk spend so much time in PA election sites checking out the voting equipment? All we needed for Harris to win was PA.

Susan, I have been saying that the word describing how Americans are going to feel in the world is shame over our leader and the people he is choosing to have as representatives of us in the world. That is, only those of us who have enough sense to, as Trump and his henchmen represent the US around the world.

Luckily because I live abroad and talk politics a lot, no one I know is asking me what do I think, and am I glad Trump won, like my daughter's classmate asked her.

I am grateful that Bloomberg, whom I never liked much, being an Oligarch and too much of a capitalist for my taste is keeping us in the Paris Climate accord on his own dime and initiative. That is the stuff of resistance. He sees how Trump was not president and made policy for 4 years both inside and outside of the US, and also how Trump is so eager to join the Broligarchy that he is not going after anyone who pays up.

J6 would have gone to trial 10 months ago, and even if it had been 18 months sooner the case would have made its way back to SCOTUS after lower courts ruled on whether the revised charges violated Donny’s immunity. I think it was Cliff Schechter who pointed out DOJ should have been at a mic reminding the public that the case was active every day because the public has a 10-second attention span and only a slightly longer memory.

It's a fucking disaster for lgbtq et al and the disabled. Add immigrants and this looks like a eugenics and ethnic cleanse with zero legal recourse despite the actual laws on the books. The substance of Trump’s Davos speech was very concerning. The President of the United States told economic leaders that the U.S. economy was very bad, over leveraged, and near collapse. These are the folks who buy U.S. debt for security, who invest in U.S. businesses, who negotiate trade agreements. Our president is supposed to be America’s cheerleader. Trump is our greatest detractor. This should be front page news in every newspaper and the lead story on every newscast.
