Former AG Barr is the undermining of justice poster child. When a group of fringe so-called lawyers produce a theory that is so beyond illegal, Barr distances himself -you know it is rotten to the core.

They are domestic terrorists. Instead of using violence to incite fear -these charlatans use legal briefs in an attempt to extinguish any hope of democracy in the United States. F* all of them.

Oh they, the Trump mob in & out of the Whitehouse knew exactly what they were getting with their attorneys, especially "the Cover General " per his name given during his 1st performance as AG where he "advised" the Iran-Contra players get presidential pardons, which they did.

The man is a snake. While his girth it makes imagining him slithering away, laughable. Although, it mostly reminds me of a snake after a large meal. He was known as the man that lunches, in DC prior to his 2nd time as AG. I assume he wants to continue dining in DC as he did before but with impunity.

Oh, to be a waiter serving his fat-ass a dead rat at one of those expense account restaurants.

Yeah it smelled to high heaven when Barr quickly exited the administration in December. He knew a shit show was in the works & he didn't want the stink on him. That whole miserable violent day of January 6 could've been avoided if he'd just done the right thing and had a press conference and spilled his guts about what was going to come down. The conspirators would have been forced to abandon their plans because the part of the government that was still decent could have been prepared and nipped it in the bud. What these criminals have done to this country is appalling and shameful. I want some fucking heads to roll.

Such a coward. And yet acts like" who knew" and now, now he has an opinion, you know for TV, a book. Now that the dust has cleared he wants to go back to fair and reasonable Mr Barr.

Miserable suck-ip.

SCOTUS is a joke. Period. Those on the court who do not wish to be bound by "ethics" requirements have totally tipped their hands.

And they continue to tip their hands. Cross-eyed Clarence continues to rule to the delight of the Harlan Crow types of his inner circle as the news about gifts continue to pour in at record speed. In the meantime, his treasonous darling wife remains free of any consequences for her role on 1/6. This compromised bullshit Supreme Court goes beyond ethics.

If Trump and his minions don’t come to justice, then this republic is irreparably broken.

Daniel L. Cooper's avatar

I fully agree with you. But, as a retired 26* year veteran law enforcement officer, and firefighter, in my opinion the justice system is completely broken. The Republic is destroyed , and Democracy is all but dead at this point.

My reason for saying this is simple:

If ANYONE other than the likes of Donald J. Trump, and his minion lawyers, Supreme Court Justices (the 5 he appointed, and all the federal justices he appointed. Not to mention the scum the Federalist Society has produced and had infiltrated into our political as well as judicial systems), had pulled the trap that he’s pulled we would not be walking around free to run our mouths, tweeting about the crooked system and the racist people working in it, the crooked politicians, lawyers, etc that he’s so proudly doing while he’s “campaigning” to become the next president.

If any of us had been indicted for 1/100th if the crimes he’s charged with, we would be sitting in jail under “NO BOND” until our trial is completed.

If any of us uttered 1/100th the bullshit he’s uttered in his speeches, our bond would have been immediately revoked and we’d be thrown in jail immediately.

If any of us wrote 1/100th the threats, comments, innuendoes, verbal assaults that he’s written, our attorneys wouldn’t be called back to the courtroom to explain the actions of their client. There’d be an immediate Bench Warrant issued for our arrest and immediate incarceration without any bond.

This clown 🤡 is getting nothing but preferential treatment from start to finish.

The books have been written now, again, for all criminals. If the day ever comes that I’m arrested for anything, you can bet your bottom, last dollar that I’m going to remind them that everyone is entitled to walk on his/her own recognizance no matter how heinous the crime. If Donald J. Trump can do this and get away with it, be remaining free to do as he pleases, violate the law every time he opens his mouth, travel over the entire country in his private jet without as much as having to report to anyone his travel itinerary, then anyone should be allowed the same treatment.

$$$ has watered done the justice. It really started with Reagan and going after unions like air traffic controllers but white collar crime went thru the roof. Next Congress was monetized by the likes of Newt Gingrich.

The DoJ made the mistake of settling instead of going to trial & prison sentences. No risk, no crime. Yes, a long time coming but here we are. Not giving in to it.

It is indeed fantastic beyond all measure.

Anyone still believing that there is actually equal justice under the law and that "no one is above it" needs to lay off the Adderall and pot, turn off the TV and read the NYT/ WA Post for a while.

Because this shit Drumph is getting away with is literally unbelievable.

He's warned by the judge to not intimidate any witnesses and within ONE DAY is publishing the threat "You come after me, I'm coming after you." and NOTHING HAPPENS.

Are you shitting me? Cooper and I would be in holding cells the same day. Probably you would too.

As George Carlin said, "bullshit is the glue that holds the country together."

But we're 'bout out of bullshit.

Clarence Thomas, world's biggest welfare queen.

Meanwhile, how many of us struggle to pay bills? Just utilities and rent, not even hospital bills or fees for uni or anything even remotely luxurious. How many of us drive battered cars or wear torn clothes because we can't afford the basics?

Down with SCOTUS! Down with billionaires!

Why should we labour to make all these rich people richer when the real path to success is just getting power and selling it to anyone who wants a taste?

Down with capitalism and money in politics!

No, not down with SCOTUS. Arrest, try, and convict the judges who have accepted bribes, even if they are the ones who get to determine what a "bribe" means, like we're all idiots. That is what John Roberts is saying that needs massive pushback. Roberts, Thomas, and Alito are ready, I think, to rule that ALL THIS that you're seeing is the way it has always been. If so, it needs to be changed. If not, well, then these judges are traitors to their country and need to be treated as such.

Openly Fae's avatar

The current form of SCOTUS is not a thing I'll ever trust again. Any form I'd accept would be restructured so thoroughly as to resemble the current form only in vague outlines. So down, down I say!

Expand full comment
Donald Koller's avatar

I agree with you on the CURRENT. As an institution, SCOTUS is supposed to be the one that "average" people can rely on to interpret the Constitution in our best interests. But, over the last 30 years, MORE judges have decided that their office has God-like powers, that they are beyond reproach, and that nobody, I repeat nobody, is going to tell them how to do their job.

These types of people have sat on the court through our history - no doubt about it. Unfortunately, I don't think we've seen six sitting on the same court at the same time, who could possibly believe that one party (the Democrats) are destroying the country. If that is the case, it might be too late for us.

And this is how the terrorist begins, terrorists who listen to the Orange One are and have been radicalized, just the same as terrorists listening to Bin Laden, they feel their leader is speaking directly to them to commit acts their leader encourages them to preform. 2 primary examples, yesterday’s shooting by FBI in Utah and a few months ago the attack on the IRS. There will be more violence as the legal issues surrounding the Orange One become overwhelming and he begins to give orders in Donald speak. And I do give a chicken fried fuck in trying to preserve our Republic and our Democracy.
