Here, here. I just sent us the biggest political contribution in my life. (out of my inheritance that I was never going to touch, this is more important than leaving it for my KIDS.) I wasn't big on Biden, but of course I voted for my party. I now think Joe is our only answer. His administration has done a fantastic job, despite the press and maniac Republicans. I heard Tom Emmer on NPR yesterday, and after gagging at the hypocrisy, the DFL got a contribution, too.

I am all in for Harris taking the ticket top and someone like Andy Beshear (current Dem Gov of Kentucky—yes, you read that correctly—a popular Dem Governor of KENTUCKY) as VP.

I have been speaking with people all over these United States that have nothing to do with the polls…and none of them are in for Joe . They are all in for changing up the ticket. They are all in because Joe is too old and though he can float on his laurels that we all KNOW aRE awesome and fabulous; and I agree are incredible as presidential accomplishments after a horrible 4 years of Trump in the Oval Office.

NONE OF the “2020 campaigning Joe” that all the pundits keep saying aloud is the JOE OF NOW. We need an incredible ORATOR right at this moment in our political lifeline. That has never been Joe. He HAS BEEN AN AMAZING ONE TERM PRESIDENT. He delivered us from the ills and evils of the 45 Presidency.

I have been seeing the Joe decline for OVER A YEAR in every speech he has made. THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE HORROR OF THE DEBATE. That was the end for me.

I teach college courses. My students have ZERO connection with Joe for myriad reasons. I am in California and my people are not confident in Joe.

They are good with Kamala Harris at the top and an excellent VP choice.

It was an over 90 minute "speech", (if you can call mostly rambling incoherence a speech), and I lasted all of about 6 minutes throughout.

And, Jeff, the reason Whatshisname keeps bringing up Lector is because he thinks it hilarious when he says "He had a friend over for dinner".

It's one of the final taglines at the end of the movie. When Lecter calls Clarice from wherever he is in South America, he ends the phone call by saying, "I've got to go, Clarice. I'm having a friend over for dinner." Why Whatshisname keeps calling him "late, great" is past me though.

But to him, it's a knee slapping joke.

I’m 81 (and REALLY resent the “too old” BS); have been on my own without family support since I was 16, have had some really great jobs with a tremendous amount of responsibility. I rely on my SS and corporate pension income, Medicare and a (government-funded) Corps of Engineers b/c of the levees protecting the large city where I live, and a predictably civil society. A Trump/Project 2025 ETHOS OF MEANNESS puts ALL of that at risk
