https://www.cdc.gov/neglected-tropical-diseases/programs/index.html

Global NTD Programs | Neglected Tropical Diseases | CDC

Jan 17, 2025 USAID NTD Program Since 2006, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has supported 33 developing countries in their efforts to control and eliminate five of the most prevalent NTDs - lymphatic filariasis (LF), trachoma, onchocerciasis, schistosomiasis, and soil transmitted helminths (hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm).

CDC salutes President Carter for pioneering new public health approaches to preventing and controlling devasting neglected tropical diseases including Guinea worm disease, lymphatic filariasis, river blindness, schistosomiasis, and trachoma.* And CDC aims to carry out his vision by eradicating Guinea worm disease by 2030.

*The Carter Center also works on malaria and lymphatic filariasis through its Hispañola Initiative and on mental health programs, a cause championed by Rosalynn Carter.

(and of course imagines is wasted on Democrats). I honestly feel he's TERRIFIED of dying because of his own broken brain...he has a toddler's comprehension of Dante's 'hell' (which South Park tapped into by depicting him literally in bed with Satan). ALL of the lashing out (at Gavin Newsom, Kathy Hochul, Wes Moore, JB Pritzker, et al) is a lashing out at his own mortality and need to take everything down with him. He knows vance (whatever the fuck his name really is) is DYING to push past him to seize control and does NOT want any of his pwn spawn to take over either because, of course, only HE 'can fix it'. Fix in this context translates to 'destroy permanently'. I just can't see far enough to encompass impeaching vance/johnson and whomever is next in that particular vile, sycophantic line. We need them ALL removed for cause until we get to one decent human being who can temporarily take the reins until we elect someone sane to undo all this fuckery.

Didn't Bill Gates and his wife donate a huge amount (for mosquito nets) to prevent mosquitoe-borne diseases from harming people where those awful diseases prevail, yet is hated by the current right-wing? Everything is ass-backward under frump. Up is down, good is bad and our troops like your Dad who literally gave his life for his Country are labeled 'losers' by the singularly worst coward to ever stain our White House. Mine too. Although towards the end he told me about a patrol off the Jersey shore in his Vought Kingfisher when he caught a U boat on the surface and dropped his 500 lb bomb right down the hatch of the conning tower. He never got credit because the Navy could not confirm.

Several years ago I read a book, ‘Shadow Divers’ about a group of scuba divers who used Tri mix gases to dive to very deep depths who discovered a previously unknown German U boat. It’s sail, or conning tower, had been blown 100 yards away from the hull of the submarine in a single piece. The hair stood up on the back of my neck when I read that! The Only way thst could have happened was an explosion from inside , and that meant heavy explosives inside the sail.

I knew this was the submarine my Dad sank single-handedly!

Rolex invited Demento, so they're to blame--they're hoping to get a tariff break, and the USTA is terrified of offending a major sponsor. I'm placing my trust in the people of New York to do their patriotic duty.

I'm seriously wondering what all those gunned-up militia groups are doing these days. You know, the ones who were arming themselves to the teeth to defend against an overstepping federal government? Oh right, they've joined ICE.

To co-opt the Revolutionary War slogans and regalia like the Gadsden flag is all overheated bullshit. The colonists were trying to defeat tyranny. These racist fucks are embracing it and imposing it on everyone else. As usual, their shtick is lies, misrepresentation, sacrilege, and fakery.

This post has to make you sad. What country is this? A President planning to go to war against an American city. What if Pritzker called out his guard to protect Illinois citizens? Then Civil War? We now have fascist posters for Department of Labor like Nazi Germany? WTF? Dumbest nation on earth and no showing the booing of the unpopular President because CBS is gutless. Ain’t this great!? Makes you proud, right? NOT!! This is pathetic and dangerous!

You said it. Civil War. It is so close. Soft secession? Or the hard way?

Expand full comment

I have read about soft secession. That would be better than hard way and the blue states would get the power they deserve based on money it collects in taxes. Someone joked about joining Canada. That country is more sane with a good leader.

Fun Story. Back when Donnie was sent to a military academy (no other school would have him) he was a joke to the other cadets. Then on school photo day he asked to borrow the jacket of the most decorated cadet “for a minute”, quickly got his photo taken will all the medals he didn’t earn and returned the jacket. The stolen valor is deep with that moron.
