I've got to hand it to you Wendy on the description of what happens to your brain from untreated sinus infections. I've been a Registered Respiratory Therapist since 1984 and about 30 years ago I had a guy in his 20's on a ventilator from an untreated sinus infection. Whatever I was suctioning out of his lungs may have included pieces of brain tissue. He did get off the ventilator but his cognitive ability was fucked up. I do wish that for Taco Don. In fact I'd like to see the most incompetent "therapist" coming towards him with a suction catheter. I've worked with some wonderful people over the last 41 years, but there are a few I wouldn't let take care of my dog.

Not sure why you think it’s “the Mother” (?) who has the responsibility of dictating this young woman’s attire. She looks old enough to make her own decisions about what she wears. Or perhaps you’re suggesting that the young “flouncing around” woman in question is just asking for it?

Expand full comment
Ole Anderson's avatar

Think about what you just said there. In which family of your acquaintance does the Father choose the appropriateness of the daughters apparel?

Except for the occasional

‘You’re not leaving this house in That outfit, young lady. Change it!’ It has pretty much always been the Mothers who held that perogative. At least with my sisters in my home when I was growing up.

And the gratuitous jibe about was I suggesting that she was ‘asking for it’ is spurious and uncalled for.

Expand full comment
MzNicky in East Jesus, TN's avatar

I don’t have to think about it. I know exactly what I said, because I’m the one who said it.

As I pointed out, the young lady in question looks old enough to make her own decisions about the clothes she wears, without the permission of “Mother” OR “Father.” However things may have functioned in your home is not necessarily the way it is, or has ever been, in every home.

And as someone else pointed out, she’s wearing a golf skirt. You’re the one who chose to describe her as “flouncing around” while wearing it. If that characterization wasn’t meant to invoke 80s-style sexism, then what was it for?

The Trump team dug themselves into this hole. By pretending like Trump was in absolute perfect health and Biden, despite being only a few years older, was a falling-apart decrepit half-dead weakling, now they cannot dare to acknowledge even a totally anodyne normal aspect of aging that's affecting him. Maybe the bruised hand and swollen ankles are symptoms of something fairly banal and just something most people his age deal with. But since they insisted that he is a superhuman wizard with the greatest immune system ever and a body that G-d himself would choose to inhabit if He decide to pop 'round for a visit, they can't just say "Yeah well you know, he's 79, this is just what happens, it's fine". Not enough "scare quotes" on "perfectly" normal words or phrases that are being used in perfectly "normal" ways, "either."

In fairness, the 🤡 hasn’t been “in charge” of anything in, or out of the WH. The Project 2025 team is and has been running the show. He’s just their puppet, the same as he is Putin’s.

Don’t ask me why, but I zoomed in on the (stupid shit eating grin pic) and found that his shirt actually says, President Donald Trump! WTAF? Who does that, who has to advertise that he’s the president. Can you imagine if Barack Obama or Joe Biden did that? Oh wait a minute, I get it. His handlers are making him wearing it so he doesn’t forget who he is. What an absolutely disgusting pathetic broken piece of egotistical trash. 🤮

You should be able to edit. See the three dots (ellipsis) to the far right of your name? One of the options is Edit. (I *think* it works on phones but am not sure.)
