You are right. I was at the “beauty parlor” recently getting my hair cut. I use the words beauty parlor because this place has been around for decades. The young woman now running it inherited it from her mother. It’s a very blue collar neighborhood. However it has changed much over the years we now have a large Latino population and now many Muslims are moving in too. A man came into the shop for a hair cut and was welcomed and the young woman began cutting his hair, the just casually began asking him about how he celebrates Ramadan. It made me realize how easily my neighbors were accepting one another. In this little, hard working community, everyone gets along. Our children go to school together and the adults work together. This has always been what makes America great. The rich people in their restricted communities have no idea of the changes being made by the rest of us. They don’t care unless they can use it against us.

I tend to think the "modern" polling companies are biased to the right and also have the challenge of accurately capturing the liberals' sentiments because what demographic are less likely to answer phone calls or respond to texts from unknown callers/senders? So pollsters use some type of formula to account for that discrepancy. I think polls are used more to influence public sentiments than they are to simply reflect them neutrally.

I do the same. CD's are very competitive right now and I've taken full advantage of those rates. My high-interest savings accounts are with solvent, well established small banks, that have been in existence for over a hundred years, many of them on the East Coast. I don't really want to name the name of my banking institutions online though! Google is a great source for finding these financial institutions.

I've really been going back and forth about moving to Spain, or Portugal. I'm 63, and financially able to do so, but I have some autoimmune issues that keep me in pretty constant pain, so I honestly don't know if I could handle a huge move like that. The stress of living in the USA definitely doesn't help my health issues. I really want to leave.
You are still young. Really. I'm much older than you and wish I had moved to Europe when I was younger. You may find that the effort is worth it. There are American colonies everywhere. Spanish is probably easier to learn than Portuguese, just saying.

I tend to think the "modern" polling companies are biased to the right and also have the challenge of accurately capturing the liberals' sentiments because what demographic are less likely to answer phone calls or respond to texts from unknown callers/senders? So pollsters use some type of formula to account for that discrepancy. I think polls are used more to influence public sentiments than they are to simply reflect them neutrally.

I do the same. CD's are very competitive right now and I've taken full advantage of those rates. My high-interest savings accounts are with solvent, well established small banks, that have been in existence for over a hundred years, many of them on the East Coast. I don't really want to name the name of my banking institutions online though! Google is a great source for finding these financial institutions.

I've really been going back and forth about moving to Spain, or Portugal. I'm 63, and financially able to do so, but I have some autoimmune issues that keep me in pretty constant pain, so I honestly don't know if I could handle a huge move like that. The stress of living in the USA definitely doesn't help my health issues. I really want to leave.
They do have retirement visas, I believe. You have to have a significant amount of money though.
