Strictly speaking being an unregistered foreign agent is itself not the same as being a spy. It's illegal, but being a "spy" depends on what you DO and intend as that agent. This is one thing the DOJ looked into for Hunter Biden--they have apparently decided that his being within the definition of unregistered agent was inadvertent, not intentional.

Being an unregistered foreign agent was something Paul Manafort was charged with. He denied the intent but he pled guilty to it as part of his plea deal. I can't remember what exactly he did that prompted the charge, but the prosecution's threat seemed to involve other issues. Again, intent matters in the charge.
Say you agreed to be the go-between between US wholesalers and a Swiss government owned cuckoo clock facility and agreed to promote their product. You would be a foreign agent and have to register, but if you didn't few would accuse you of being a spy for Switzerland. They never developed the ability to reason. That part of the brain doesn't begin to develop until age 16 at the earliest, and in some people it never does. They basically stay 15 in ethics and reasoning for the rest of their lives. There were maybe 10-15% of Americans at that level before Reagan. After decades of underfunding schools, under paying teachers, homeschooling and subpar scammy charter schools, I'd estimate that number has doubled, if not tripled.
Yes. We are taught in teaching that it is in college where the brain grows again. Some of that is the exposure to new and different ideas. I do not believe any of these people earned a college degree, although I know that DeSatan did go to college and law school, but his thinking shows no evidence of that. I know that the frontal cortex does not fully develop until mid-20s to about 30, with the male cortex often on the slower end. That is the delayed gratification and complex critical thinking. What is not developed can atrophy. Still, I just feel like the level of understanding that people must have, even though with higher education degrees, is missing something.
