You cheer me up and make me laugh. What more can a too-serious politics-weary person ask!

Sandy, weary is right. I don't know how to keep navigating through this insanity.

I completely disconnected from cable news and twitter six months ago. I now read only Jeff, Dan Rather and Substack, maybe an occasional headline or two. If a mushroom cloud blooms on the horizon I’ll read about it, but after six years of being force fed trump and his angry republicans, I realize I have a choice! I feel much happier now. Jeff has a way of healing my too serious thoughts. We are all traumatized by the last six years and need more laughter and less fear.

I was just saying this earlier today...I am still trying to unwind from my hypervigilant period of the Lord Lardass reign of terror and disgust.

As an ex Tennessean, I can tell you there’s a lot of stupid there. There is pure unadulterated, racism and tons and tons of stupid with some evil mixed in. It’s kind of a mixed bag. They’re glad to be away from there everyone have a great Easter weekend.

I’d like to live in a world where these idiocies needed to be invented by a satiric genius like S J Perelman or Dorothy Parker, rather than by simply gazing out the window or into the window of my electronic screen. But as long as we have to endure this dipshitterry, I’m powerful glad you’re here.

Thursday was pretty wicked in Tennessee. when the racist asshats said the quiet part out loud. And expelled 2 of the 3 Democrats that protested with the sick and tired schoolchildren of Nashville. Oh- and one of those Dems was not like the others

With all due respect Jeff, the debacle in Tennessee deserves some attention, - even an entire article of its own. It was an atrocity bringing us back to the George Wallace days. That was evil for sure, enabled by completely stupid people in a state where the KKK was born. RACISM and GUNS, will certainly join ABORTION and freedom of choice as key issues in 2024.

I agree that the Tennessee fuckery is important and deserves its own article. I'll probably work on one over the weekend.

Excellent. If you’re able, try to watch at least the first ten minutes of The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell from last night (Thursday). It was quite moving- O’Donnell broke down. I’m glad you’ll address it,- it’s a mindfuck all its own.

Thanks for that heads up. I sometimes run out of energy but Lawrence is one I like to watch as often as possible. Than again, my up to here mark after watching TN live needed a recovery period.

Tennessee rounded out the week. Might I add that the uptick in sleep apnea among liberals is likely related to Trump's trip down the escalator? it's just a theory of mine but I started gasping in my sleep in 2015 and now I wear a mask to bed...😏

I haven't had the stomach to listen to MTG on 60M and couldn't understand WHY give this xFacebook flamer any air time? Where was the upside?

And Bannon that total Freak needs shutting up but NO apparently there is just enough stupid people available to listen to his marching apocalypse and not one single person to ask WTF is the big plan after they burn it all down? We know the 3% types only want the violent party but what exactly do the GOP voters think will happen next? Oh, yeah the delusional voter that keeps voting against their own interests can't see the other party IS & has been fixing and bailing them out.

The same voters that say the Republicans are better for the economy.!!!

Right

Sheesh

Too Big to Fail meets the Moron 6x Bankrupt " great businessman". Not only is there a pattern here they keep raising the ante on Disaster Politics

No bottom on stupid.

If anyone here has lived in Tennessee, none of this is in the least surprising, other than it took them this long to come out as fascists. I did Nazi that coming this late.

Completely agree. As my earlier comment mentioned having lived there for 45 years, there are a lot of stupid people there. I guess to be fair, there are stupid people everywhere right? I think these ‘folks’ have such a hatred for anyone who is not white Anglo-Saxon. We have to remember that this state is where the KKK originated. Hatred is in their DNA.
